@@MadetoSew how do I attach how do I attach the presser foot to the Viking age class sewing machine
@@evadneybedward8594 Looking at the imagines of the machines it looks like it has a little lever on the side. You may need to push this down to reattach the foot too.
Heard clunk when foot fell off. Your video made it easy to put back on. Thanks.

Okay so I have a question for you....the sewing machine and the presser foot that I have both have an extended bar so I cannot get them to either raise or lower enough to attach them can you give me any ideas please
Hi Cathy, what machine do you have? Just trying to work out what you mean by extended bar? Feel free to send me a photo (info@madetosew.com) and I will do my best to help. Thanks, Aneka
@@MadetoSew I will thank you so much....
Aneka, I have a question re: Bernina. I am thinking of replacing my Zinger with Bernina. Which Bernina would u recommend? Do your like your 350 model? Or, there is a new/better model that you’d recommend? Thank you for your advice.
I love the 350, I think it's a great model. I can't quite remember the difference between the 330 and the 350, you might find that you can get away with the 330 instead? There are some newer models coming out at the end of the year (I believe), because I filmed a video on what sewing machines I recommend with a local sewing machine dealer and we have to re-film some of the videos because the makes and models have changed. So maybe wait until the end of the year to make your decision? It will depend on your budget too. Hope this helps a little bit? Aneka x
Aneka, thank you!
Mine isn’t working! I have a 1C shank. I adjust the lever in the back, then lower the arm down, but the foot and shank do not communicate.
Did the shank originally come with the machine? Do all the other feet fit? I will try and help.
@@MadetoSew I did figure it out. My machine is brand new to me. There is a thin metal guide that fits into the back of the foot, which must lock the foot in place. I removed that metal guide, placed the foot into proper position, then snugged the metal guide in. It only took a few hours! 🤷🏻♀️
@@endorn3234 Oh bless you.... so frustrating when you don't know what is going on. At least you have it sorted now. 😃 🙌
Advice please!!! Okay this isn't 100% on this topic but im having such a hard time researching this: my machine looks like the third one, its a singer tradition 2277, and Im looking into new presser feet for it. alot of the ones i want are "low shank" or "high shank" and im so confused. Can I only use snap on feet, or does that little screw mean it can be separated and i can attach a 'shank' foot? I assume mine is a low shank due to length between the screw and bottom, but I don't know if that screw is intended to ever be removed or not. Thank you for making this video and for any help that anyone can give me!!!
Hello, yes I think your machine will be a low shank machine. You can remove the screw and purchase adaptors if you can't find a foot that works with your machine as it is. Does that help? And some feed have to be screwed on anyway, like a walking foot. Hope this helps? Aneka
How do you fix a pressure foot lever, i think i pressed too hard on it amd the lever fell off
Oh dear, do you mean the metal bar that attaches the foot onto the machine? You may need to take it to a sewing machine shop to ask them for a replacement that works for your machine. Sorry Jess! Aneka x
@@MadetoSew yeah, that you pull to release the foot, i’ll do that thanks.
Hello my presser foot is like the third one you demonstrated. I have tried and tried what you have demonstrated in this video and my presser foot still won't stay. I think there's a problem with the foot holder. What can I do please
Hi Adaeze, oh no! I am really sorry to hear that. I am not sure what to suggest if it won't stay in position? Check you are using the right foot for the right machine? Not all feet fit all machines? If you are, maybe take the machine to be serviced and get it a check over? I hope this helps? Aneka

Plzzzz tell me what this white plastic part above foot is called..? Mine has damaged and I can't find new
Hi there, I think you mean the shank?
@@MadetoSew how to send you picture? White plastic part above presser foot.
@@muhammadaayan8210 The white plastic part that the foot gets attached to? That is the shank.
@@MadetoSew thnx..can u plz tell me where to fine it online in italy
@@muhammadaayan8210 I honestly do not know. I would go into a sewing machine shop and ask them for help; as it might be hard to buy one that fits your machine.
Is it possible to sew without presser foot to freely move the fabric? Anyway, new subscriber here 🥰
It's not recommended to sew without a presser foot as you will not have a lot of control. To freely move fabric and do free motion embroidery you can get a special 'free motion embroidery' presser foot, this is specific to provide the flexibility to move fabric freely while also still having some control over the work.
I hope that helps?
Made to Sew thank you 😊
@@rizel1573 My pleasure

Yay!
Pls can you show how to slightly convert a men’s tee shirt to look more feminine by adding a slight waiseline. Thanks.
Hello, do you mean that you want more shaping? So it is fitted? Does the T-Shirt already exist? What is it made from, I presume it is a stretchy knitted fabric? Thanks, Aneka
Made to Sew hi, thanks for your reply. I already have this men’s tee shirt from super dry. Its made of cotton, the fabric is alittle thick. Its suppose to be slim fitting for men. I want to alter it so it has a slight waistline. Can i just sew a slight waistline on the sides? Thanks.
Yes you can simply sew it in as and where you want. I would pin it first, try it on and check you like the fit before sewing. Maybe even tack / baste it first. Hope this helps? Aneka
Made to Sew thanks so much!
I can't snap mine on my singer machine. I don't know what I'm doing wrong
I think some of the Singer ones have a little button you have to press at the back of the foot when you snap it back on?
@@MadetoSew it has a lever but no button. It's looks like a metal hook you can snap a foot onto, but no matter how hard I push I can't get the feet on. I can only get the original foot on and off after a lot of difficulty
@@MadetoSew the instructions say it's a snap on and you place the new foot under the shank, lower presser foot and then push presser foot screw down firmly until foot snaps into place. However the foot just falls off.
@@MichelleLee-fn9wz Hi Michelle, if the original foot works and the others don’t, are you sure that the feet are designed for your machine? Feet can be different between different machines and models. The width and size of the bar that snaps on will be different, which is possibly why they aren’t working. It might be worth checking if they are designed for your machine? It sounds odd that the original works and these don’t. Aneka x
@@MadetoSew thank you, can it be different even if they're all singer feet
Wji
?!
And yes I have the owner's manual and it's not a help
