thanks a lot for sharing these commercials. i remember all of them, because i would watch inspector gadget after coming home from the 7th grade.
Inspector Gadget now airs in reruns on the free TV streaming service Pluto TV, specifically on the channels Kids TV and After School Cartoons.
nobody watches tv anymore.
I have Pluto TV. You can see "Forensic Files" on it.
Before the movie, there was the cartoon with Don Adams of "Get Smart " supplying the voice of "Inspector Gadget ".
The film starred Matthew Broderick ("Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "The Freshman", "Glory"', "Election") as the title character.
Used to get this station up un Watertown NY, located up in the North Country near Canadian border, always used to walk home after school and watch Inspector Gadget, He-Man in second and third grade...and I also remember Heathcliff, but that might have been on another station, but I do remember many of these commercials and also the Woody Wood Pecker hour too. Used to also get WPIX and WWOR those three independent stations from the New York area, they all had good programming.
I think I might have had that Cinnamon Toast Crunch commercial on one of my old tapes (which unfortunately bit the dust due to repeated watchings). It just looks so familiar, considering that tape was recorded in September and October of 1984 (but I haven't seen the tape since 1991, because, like I said, it wore out). I wish I could remember all the commercials that were on that tape, but I don't.
EDIT: I know I DEFINITELY had that Honey Nut Cheerios commercial. I remember it well (must have been on the tape more than once).
@20:22 that’s Jerry Supiran AKA Jaime Lawson from the SMALL WONDER SHOW!
Some of these kids commercials could easily be mistaken for 1990’s commercials which they aren’t because the styling is similar.
I was born in the late 80’s and I remember 90’s commercials. It’s great to see these innocent commercials it’s sad there’s no more cartoons on any of these channels and everything is on cable or streaming now.
Batman was back on channel 5 temporarily, due to them resting He-Man for the Summer. I believe it resumed airing the week after this, and Batman went back into the vault until the next Summer.
Brian Cummings voices the bumpers for The Mickey, Donald, and Sport Goofy Show.
"Have you done your homework today"
At 3:43 is that John Sheppard from "Friday the 13th Part V"? I have that commercial on an old tape and always wondered if it was him.
Woody and Bugs? More like, Woody and Buzz!
My 16th Birthday! 🎂
12:50 Orville Redenbacher looked like Mr. Furley!
