On 21 April 2024, Yaadgar Taraane Band, Mumbai had organisaed a program of Talat Mahmood songs to pay tribute on the Centenary Year of this legendary singer, in the city of Chennai.
I could do my bit by rendering the song - “Gham Ki Andheri Raat Me” - from the 1963 film 'Sushila', with music composed by C. Arjun. This is a rare male-duet song by Talat Mahmood and Mohd. Rafi, composed by Music Director C. Arjun. For singing this song, I also owe the inspiration to the popular stage singer Rana Chatterjee who sings with so much ease.
