i've tried both laser and electrolysis and definitely had better results with electrolysis. Laser didn't suit me and made the hair growth worse everywhere i got treated. electrolysis made the growth stop permanently in a few places and significantly reduced the growth everywhere else and have been doing it for about 6 months now. i have heard from a few other women with PCOS that they had these same experiences with both methods. haven't been on a PCOS diet at all and exercise sporadically or would surely have helped to cut down the growth even more. I'm definitely going to try Tallene's tips and see how i go. thank you for the wealth of info on your channel!

The thyroid panel should also include checking for antibodies that causes Hashimoto's thyroid. That is the most common cause of thyroid problems and is often missed because the doctors don't know to check for it. Also, it's very important to check your iodine levels. Many people are low in iodine and that will cause many problems. Start using iodized salt, not the pink stuff. Make sure your salt says that it has iodine added! It's so important!

      @BubbleBurster-nv1vl Před rokem

Doctors today are not always very competent or simply don't want a healthy patient (money). I have Hashimotos and in the process of reversing and getting mu antibodies down through DIET. Your doctor should be doing these blood tests to properly diagnose you:
      TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormone)
      FT3 (Free T3)
      FT4 (Free T4)
      RT3 (reverse T3)
Antibody tests as part of thyroid testing:
TPO - AB (Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody)
      TG - AB (Thyroglobulin antibodies)
Now you will have a complete picture of what is going on with your thyroid.
      Nothing less is accepable.

There is another option, there’s a treatment called Epilfree, that’s what I got and all it involves is the tech waxing the area and applying a serum to kill the follicle and it worked. I got 10 treatments so far and my hair is 70% less, I could cry. And I had a lot of facial hair! It’s soooo much cheaper than laser and electrolysis plus it works on any skin or hair color. You just have to google who does it in your area.

Bought a second device for my Sister. As top ups are always needed with PCOS. And nothing is permanent-just electrolysis I hear. But it is so fast now to zap. I don't wax/pluck/shave anymore in between uses.
Just shave on day/day before & zap just those little places. And I exfoliate using mitt gloves twice weekly when bathing. My tan skin is about the same as Kaushal-make up youtuber?

I would highly recommend for people with any cause of excess facial/body hair to speak to their doctor about 3,3′-Diindolylmethane (DIM) supplement (compound from cruciferous veg like broccoli) - it balances testosterone and estrogen . I don't have "diagnosable" PCOS, but was furry like a bunny lol & had very irregular periods & a very flat butt(excess testosterone + genetics). DIM helped with all three, literally. it also has anti-cancer properties, which is an added bonus.
laser/ipl isn't completely permanent for anyone, so don't rely solely on it.

Buy a nice epilator and epilate your entire face every day. Spend at least a hundred on one. Braun maybe. Make sure you take a toothbrush and dawn soap and scrub all the oils off the tweeers once a month because the build up of oil will make them unable to grab the hair. Use it on a dry face. The first time is incredibly painful but you can always get your entire face waxed and then start using it every day. It tweezes every hair as they grow in. They key is to use it EVERY SINGLE DAY. Otherwise you’ll have too many hairs to tweeze and it will be very painful.

Forget everything except electrolysis. If in a hurry, then waxing definitely helps (one treatment disappeared my underarms), but in my experience only electrolysis - WITH AN EXPERIENCED person - has any impact. It removes the hair from the root and shoots an electric current to the root to stop further growth. No other treatment does this. But choose expert person as this takes patience and not just yanking hair out. The hair follicle needs time to be properly ‘blasted’ with electricity. Then the hair easily slides out. Job done!

Would it be possible to manage PCOS while still 'skipping meals'? My natural tendency is to only have dinner, and usually trying to it at any other point in the day feels forceful and unappetising. I want to be able to eat at times where my body feels like it, but I could definitely see myself going through the effort of changing the content of the meals themselves (I only stopped being chubby after going vegan, so I would maybe blame dairy for that).
    Is it very problamatic?
I think I have times where I only eat 1400-1500 calories a day, but I am of average weight. Looking to try out gluten free now!
