Molly Tuttle - 1st time playing her Thompson Brazilian Dreadnought Guitar at The Nashville Flatpick Camp outside of Nashville hosted by Adam and Megan.
What is so admirable about this girl is she doesn't seem to have a big ego about her talent. She takes it all in a modest stride like it's no big deal to her! Doesn't that make you love her even more?
I give children in montana guitar lessons one little girl didn’t have a guitar mom was struggling I gave her a d35 Martin to use she got real good in the months to come she passed the lessons test and I told her to put your guitar in the case and go home and practice everyday ,got a hug and tearfull eyes made this little girls day .
@@mbsnyderc maybe the little girl in his story is molly? We can all pretend it is & feel better about the idea of him giving away his martin which mom probably sold at the pawn shop to pay the rent and go out and party on
Rest in peace, Preston Thompson. Thank you for creating so much beauty and happiness in the world!! This is a wonderful video to see these two together.
You so deserve this Molly. You are an incredibly talented and a very sweet little lady. Your warmth, talent, and beautiful authenticity as a person makes you a joy to watch. God Bless You! And I hope you have many joyful years playing that guitar. It's a beauty! 🤗❤️🎸✌️
@@cugir321 Thanks, I was going to mention the original post of AJ singing Gram Parsons "Hickory Wind" White watching a CZcams of Gram singing H.W. I noticed several comments that sent me to AJ & the Tuttle family (training) band. That was a Wow, JUST WOW moment. A very good recommendation, that one was.
Ive been watching Molly Tuttle for a couple of years on CZcams. I'm happy for her. She is being rewarded for her hard work and love of the music she plays. She's wonderful (a full wonder) : )
The guitar is almost as big as she is, and she picks it like it is a parlor guitar! She is simply spectacular, yet humble. And she has definitely gotten a guitar that is worthy of her in this new Thompson! Well done, indeed!
I’d say Thompson hit a home run. First session with a new guitar, I’m playing big/ringing, open chords. Molly’s picking stuff it takes most guitarists a lifetime of dedication to achieve. ✌️
Thompson employ some very talented craftsmen. Gorgeous guitars. Didn't even know they existed until I learned of Billy Strings. Nothing but respect for these builders. They can hang with the big boys any day. Thompson Guitars are the real deal when it comes to acoustic instruments ❤
Wow! Molly's playing gets better and better every time I hear her. That guitar is superb, a real cannon but with balance and warmth in abundance.I feel a little twinge of gas raising it's head again.
And they're just GORGEOUS esthetically speaking. Even just their basic dreadnought guitar is a sight to behold. You can clearly tell its a quality instrument built with passion and love. I'm impressed with these folks.
I am an older woman who is only just learning about flat picking. I have actually been strumming away for years, pretty much self taught. I admire the fact that there are more young women guitar players who are blazing trails in music!
That was Beautiful You can tell you LOVE THE GUITAR 🎸 Those who do Not Play do not Understand how personal an Acoustic Guitar is You can have 50 of them lined up & to a trained musical ear they all have their own Voice
I picked up a pre-war Martin and had the same experience: where I just wanted to strum a G chord. Great sounding guitar !!! Great song and tempo to demo the beautiful voice of the instrument, but once again, just hearing the G chord sing out was enough to sell me. Concerning Molly: I think we're at the point where it is just like the name Alison... all you have to say is 'Molly' and the rest is understood.
That Thompson sounds wonderful and it is beautiful but I don't know if it is only me, but I was more excited about the sound of the 1938 D-18 on this video: 1938 Martin D-18 played by Molly Tuttle - CZcams
Beautiful. Love your playing. The guitar looks like a combination of a Gibson finish with a Martin peg head, combined with custom features on a dreadnought guitar. Sound rings out nicely.
nice sounding guitar and Doc Watson would have loved her arrangement of Billy in the Low Ground. Not for nothing, she has custom made guitar fingers, long and thin, gives her great reach with the pinky. She's a very talented and tasteful player.
✌️💜🤠🌹... I just got a new guitar too... looks like yours but a little more red... hummingbird on the pick guard... abalone around the bindings.. inlay on the back with the little sticks they use for rosettes around the sound hole on classical guitars... sounds like yours too . as soon as I put good strings on... rings like a bell... so far it's making me very happy.. but still doesn't sound quite like your guitar does.. if I do actually manage to grow up.. I would love to play a few songs like Ms Molly Tuttle good golly Ms Molly you do rock and roll lovely guitar... thanks for sharing 😊
This Thompson sounds lovely. I just heard her playing on a Waterloo and I have to say that I think I prefer the 'dryer tone' of the Waterloo for this style of music, as the notes sounded more articulate, with more space between them so to speak. I might have a lot to do with how they were each miked as well. Anyway, she's such a great player I hope she's got both the Thompson and the Waterloo!
What is so admirable about this girl is she doesn't seem to have a big ego about her talent. She takes it all in a modest stride like it's no big deal to her! Doesn't that make you love her even more?
Down to earth and humble. You don't see much of that in pop music.
Yes!
Total beast of a guitar player. Her technique is flawless. Hats off

You gave away a D35?I hope she play's it for the rest of her life.maybe she'll break some ground in the guitar world like Molly has.
Thats awesome!

wow what a gift ! Beautiful act of grace , when she’ll be older she will remember you and the value of this beautiful gift
It's neat to see a world-class professional picker that gets so excited over a new guitar. Just like the rest of us.
Rest in peace, Preston Thompson. Thank you for creating so much beauty and happiness in the world!! This is a wonderful video to see these two together.
Molly. Thank you for your beautiful playing. You always put a smile on my face.
Molly is such an incredible personality. It doesn't get any more real or authentic than her.
I never really listened much to this style of bluegrass music until I heard Mollie Tuttle. She's the best thing since Doc Watson.
I love how she goes from giddy schoolgirl to stone faced badass in about .25 seconds. She is so awesome. Glad she loves her new guitar
It is pretty amazing. That transition.
I thought they same! She could make a cereal box and yarn sound amazing!
@@gregbaker3701 That is great imagery Greg! I say, write a song 💖🎶🎶🤩
Years later, Robby, you said this exactly. My sentiments exactly.
She's so humble and wholesome, what a beautiful and incredibly talented human

AJ is a goody too.....they used to play together when AJ was wee one.

It's amazing that instruments that seem so similar on the surface, like a Thompson and a Taylor, can have such vastly different sounds.
I’d say Thompson hit a home run. First session with a new guitar, I’m playing big/ringing, open chords. Molly’s picking stuff it takes most guitarists a lifetime of dedication to achieve. ✌️
WOW!!! This guitar sounds ALMOST as good as a Boucher! Nova Scotia loves Molly!!!!!~

Bright overtones and much volume. It already sounds great, but it will sounds even better over time.

I was so impressed by her I bought one just like it it takes a year I have 6 months to go but I;m sure it will be worth the wait
can't wait for you to get it Mike : )
Reminds me of Jerry’s wild banjo picking on guitar. Love those turnarounds.

That really is a deep fine sounding guitar... guitars that good need a player that good, MOLLY!
I think that colour is known as 'tobacco sunburst'. What a brilliant guitar.

Wow that thing is LOUD and bright- especially in her hands. Nothing wrong there. It'll cut through a band no problem.
