This is a good reminder to treasure what you have now, because in 20 years it will be priceless to you
Very true!
A really impressive collection! Your sheer dedication to this hobby is incredible. It's fans like you that kept this industry going.
Thank you I appreciate that.
Great collection. I like to open a box and get lost in the artwork. Have a great holiday.
Happy holidays!
Made me remember a bunch from back in the days. Forgotten classics I want in my collection. Thanks for going through all of that. 💯 👍
My pleasure! Happy it could be a bit of a mental time machine.
As a boy/teen I worked at one of Milwaukee, WI's first real comic book stores. Called ironically The Good Old Days. We had those big brown long boxes full of old comics. They were WI Bell's boxes used to deliever the old Yellow and white pages thick heavy telephone books. They were basically magazine size boxes.
Very cool memory! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely beautiful collection!! Thank you for sharing
You are so welcome!
I love all your vids! Thanks for taking the time. I've learned so much
You are so welcome!
Those are a lot of great keys.
Thanks for the video (and yay! I actually caught the stream live 😊)
You are very welcome and woot happy your hear.
Sean! Love your super long comic book videos! They always make me go through my collection and organize haha. You should do a separate box for your duplicates. That way, you can pull from there first for emergencies :)
Yeah I will get the keys sorted eventually just in case. But there is so much I have for sale already that I don't worry about it that much. Its more if something happens to me and Alison needs cash quick she knows where to go.
@pop-comics Yeah, I was thinking about that too. That way, if there was an emergency and your wife needed to sell some keys, having a box with the duplicates would be good. She can sell that stuff first before getting to your actual collection :)
Fantastic afternoon of cool books. Thank you Sean 😃 👍🏻
You are very welcome, I had fun!
Longshot issue one is not Arthur Adam's first work in comic books that would be alien worlds 3D issue is listed as his first work he also did work in Captain carrot a pin-up and he also did artwork in a very rare Indie book I forget the name of it maybe you mean his first work at Marvel
I asked him directly at NYCC this year he said it was his first professional work. Other printed comics were things he sent in but was not paid for.
His first processional work was alien world 3D number one it stated that by cgc and I also consider that his first professional work and he was to be paid for that from Pacific comics so I don't know why he would say that Longshot was his first professional work it's not
As much as I would like to debate, lots of people have told me Alien Worlds 3d was his first professional work (I have a signed Copy by him) He himself told me that was a piece he sent in, kinda like fan art and it was published but he was not paid for it so he does not consider it his first Professional work. Let me know a link to the CGC label that shows that it is, I could not find it. I looked it up online and I find every place that mentions it that his comic career began with Longshot 1. I will have to film the interview with him next time asking him lol czcams.com/video/3_LQqNINOmQ/video.html 26:49 is when I met him and did a really quick video. But did not film me asking him the question.
@@pop-comics I get what you're saying and Pacific Comics near the end did not pay a lot of artists I believe Dave Stevens also did work on alien worlds 3D issue and he also did not get paid but he's also a professional I get what Arthur Adams is saying that he did not get paid but he was supposed to get paid and Pacific Comics went bankrupt add so he did not get paid just like a lot of the artists but his art was very professional at the time and for a pretty big company at the time also not some little company that made 500 copies or a thousand copies but tens of thousands of copies of that issue that's why I consider it in many others his first professional work because he was supposed to get paid when was contracted to make the story for Pacific comics that sounds to me like professional work whether he got paid or not
So your saying I should not take what he said about the situation as the truth?
New to the channel. This is really cool to see. I really like seeing someone other than myself who randomly stores his books. This is how my whole collection looks, lol. Except for a run of FF books from #13 to #83
Very fun, happy that you found my channel.
Incredible collection! 👍
Thanks!
Wow! Great books here!! Enjoyed the video! Gracias amigo!
My pleasure!
"On the side, a 5.5 spare". Love the videos. Trying my best to catch up to ya. lol. Much respect.
Hehe, I do need to do a slabbed comic collection tour eventually too.
Omg mad it through 3 hours. Great stuff
Fantastic, awesome that you enjoyed the full video.
Space might be an issue but I like when you stand the books up on each side so we can see them for a bit longer. But either way still great thank you.
Yes space is an issue, still not enough space in the office to set up properly.
hello sir,. love and support from philippines 😊
Hello there! Thanks for the beautiful positive comment!
Call the fire department you caused a fire up in here 🔥
Haha
this is one of my favorite shows !
Happy your enjoying.
I mentioned you and Your Channel on CZcams to @Argo Comics Who has an interesting Collection of Indépendant Comics and I believe hes a Comic Artist HIMSELF as well and Actually said that you Were Trying to Find a Large Collection of Indépendant Comics and that He may be able to actually help you Find the actual Comics that Your currently searching For and hopefully you Both will get together soon.
He Had many Comic Titles and Characters that I myself have Never seen or heard of and will definitely be looking to Find For myself and as alway Ive enjoy looking Through Your Extremely Large Collection as its been Extremely helpful and informative all Around--"THANK YOU."
I will check out his channel
Wow!! We have a lot of similar taste…. Great collection!! The only thing is that I started really late!!
Never too late to enjoy and collect comics!
Bravo my friend. Bravo!
Thank you! Cheers!
YOUR COLLECTION IS INSANE
It is a tad crazy yes haha
I don’t know about pressing your asm 29 It mite become dust ! Awesome stuff !
Proper pressing includes introducing some moisture through steam so pressing wont disintegrate a book lol If the paper around the staples is weak the pressure can pop the staple though.
Great comic collection dude
Thanks a bunch!
@@pop-comics you’re welcome
Getting my comic book video fix in tonight!
@@reidallen8590 nice this is a long one. Enjoy
It's a homage to the fantastic four #1 which is the first appearance of the fantastic four and the mole man 😊❤😂
You made a cameo in that "theif" video that has been going around bout that Epic fella. 😂.
Yeah that is my local show full of friends, I was really upset that the show was violated like that with someone known in the community stealing. It was not cool at all. Oh and Streetside Anthony is super awesome, and because he is so friendly and giving he lets people stash stuff under his table while they are shopping. He was not involved with their theft at all.
Did you recently start this channel? I remember you doing Funko Pops before. I’m really enjoying the comic book content. Keep up the good work. My only complaint is I have to listen extra carefully, because you talk so fast. 😭
I created this channel in 2015 before the Funko One, but I started posting my comic content here away from the main channel as few years back. Cant change the way I talk lol
You should grade your comics to increase it's value 100x
That is not really how grading works. If a comic is near perfect then grading can get you a boost in resale value but for the most part what you pay to get the comic graded increases the value about the same as that cost. So your not gaining value but spending a ton to increase value by the amount you spent. I rather spend that cash on my comics, I am not rushing to sell these. When I want to start selling tons I will get into grading.
Sean i was wondering did you attend the NYCC at Javits Centre this year ?? I was looking forward to a live stream.
I did, since I edited in 4k took me 28 hours to upload day 1, but it just posted. Hoepfully I can get day 2 posted tomorrow.
It's homage to the amazing spider -man #2 and it's also the first appearance of the tinkerer😊😂❤ actually it's on the beginning of the page of the amazing Spider-Man #2
excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
The Wolverine 83 with Cyber on the cover is that fake "first appearance" of X-23.
Thanks for the info.
Pop’s Comics what kind of holders do you have your comics in? I like those! Please let me know where I can buy them at
They are BCW comic sized top loaders
@@pop-comics what size would I need for current comic books?
They make them in current comic size, but I usually get the silver age size so there is a tad more room. You still bag and board them then put that into the top loader.
Wow. Great books!!! Are these for sale or PC?
PC collection tour, I love to squirrel away keys over the years haha
Hey buddy 😊😂❤
hiya
Is that Jimmy Olsen 134 & Deadpool run the jewels for sale
They are not.
Do you have any boxes of comics/pops that you haven't opened up in 10 or more years?
I am sure I do. Not pops but Comics for sure, and other toys and collectibles could be even more.
@pop-comics cool it would be like a time vault
Happy you enjoy ;)
U got wolverine origins #10 with the third claw?
I do not, I think that is one variant that evaded me over the years.
@@pop-comics something I have and pop doesn't?! I'm speechless. Still an impressive collection you have.
Sell them all now and get into Collapse Resiilency my friend 🙏
I professionally buy and sell pop culture, not so worried about price collapse. If it does I can buy collections cheaply to make profit. And if it does not great these have gained a ton of value.
@@pop-comics en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Societal_collapse
That kind of Collapse Resiliency
If that happens, well does not really matter if I have money from selling comics or not. Heck rather have a huge stash of comics to read and trade for entertainment.
RIP Arleen sorkin 😢❤
Evening folks
Greetings!
Pullin heaters
Tons of fun Key Issues!
Do you have an actual store? I want to ask if you actually have a modern book that I'm looking for
I do but its more a pop culture junk shop and not a comic shop. What are you looking for?
@@pop-comics can I send you a picture and or a list on social media. I know you actually have one of the books. I'm just not sure if it's a PC book or something for sake
Most likely it was in my PC if you saw it on the channel.
Hi Shaun, on Instagram is your profile picture a yellow and gray robot face?
Yup!
I got tricked - this is just a combination of your 14 separate videos going through these boxes that I already watched individually- thank God - I’m trying to catch up on my CZcams videos, and since I seen the 14 separate videos, I don’t have to watch this one.
Haha fantastic, happy you already watched them all. Yeah this is a compilation for people who like to put a long video on or want to see them all at once. Or for new folks finding the channel.
it just looks like your comic bags in the top loaders wrinkly?
Yeah polypropylene wrinkles after a couple of years. Very common with that type of bag. Polyethylene bags turn yellow. Mylar is what you want to use if you want a bag that does not yellow or wrinkle but it costs 10 times more.
Ms. Marvel 18...you mean 1st full appearance of Mystique...not Raven.
That is correct, technically still raven just in her mystique form.
really a couple of dollars for some
Yeah a coule of spec books that never panned out mixed in but very few, I think the majority is $20+
I sold my Batman 227 🤡, what was i doing
I am sure you had a good reason. Such a lovely cover though, hope you can find an affordable copy again.
How many is enough? 😂🎉
Not sure have not hit that limit yet lol
Don't have 1 comic
Comics are super fun, you are missing out.
Hey dude, I collect manga and I was wondering if you could do a video on how to bag up manga. IDK if this is out of your forte but I am trying to keep my manga pristine. Also could you do a video on how to bag up old shounen jumps and shoujo beats as well as the Japanese comic magazines? Cause I own those and they're really hard to store without yellowing.
BCWdirect also makes bags and boards for different size magazines. There should be something that works for all of them.
Such an awesome collection
Thank you!!
Hi Shaun, I seen you at comic con today are you on Instagram?
I am under PopFunToPlay
Really enjoy your channel one of my two favorite. other one is Collectors Confessions
