    Condolences to the families and Ms. Sarah as well.
    I was abducted from a shopping center parking lot by a man with a knife, driven to a remote area, tortured and sexually assaulted on 12-26-73 at 20 yrs. old. I was extremely fortunate to survive. As Ms. Sandra experienced the Troopers didn’t believe me either. I was admitted to the hospital for awhile then released. When the detectives drove me around I was finally able to locate the remote area he had taken me to and some people in the house where he had had first parked the vehicle had ID’d the fur from my hood of my coat and his vehicle. The detectives left me alone in their car in the dark while they spoke with the residents. They then returned to the vehicle and one turned to me and said, “We didn’t believe a word you said until we spoke to those people-*we thought you just got in a fight with your boyfriend....*
    I had no idea at all my credibility was ever in question. My heart was completely shattered. I will never, ever, ever trust or go to the police again for anything. I’d rather die.
    My assailant was executed years later for the rape and murder of a number of other young women. No, his execution didn’t feel like “Justice” to me at all but hey, I’m just a victim.

      @kolejohnson73 Před rokem +2

      I'm sorry to hear your story and I've heard too many like it. There is several cultural problems with police that cause them to be ineffective at best. They are trained to believe everyone is lying and they are also conditioned to not get involved unless they have too. I spent most of my life around law enforcement, including in my immediate family and even the best meaning officers are mostly ineffective at best. Sadly a similar situation is affecting the medical industry, the days of doing the job to help people are over, they don't trust their patients to tell them the truth and believe their stories. If you try to be your own advocate they feel their authority and competence are being questioned. Our society is quickly losing the human elements and compassion. I'm happy you were strong enough to peservere through tragedy and evil, but sad you had to.

We've watched all of the CZcams videos related to Gitchie Manitou, and yours is probably the most accurate one we have watched. You did an excellent job. Even the spot along the river where you believe the shootings likely occurred looks to us to be the same location where we think it probably happened. Partly due to the recent coverage of Gitchie Manitou State Preserve, this once seldom visited area has become a much more popular destination. Those who follow paranormal events feel this is one of the most haunted places in the United States. Sandra Cheskey now sees it as place where she can meditate in peace and feel close to the boys who lost their lives there. Keep up the good work!

    I just watched this and subscribed. I love how you tell a story and show the scene of the crime, stating it may not be exact, but you have me hooked!! I was sick to my stomache by what happened to this girl. Then, of course, the police don't believe it??? Men can be bad, and I mean scary. I am old enough now to articulate and somewhat move past the things I have experienced myself as a young lady. Parents, Hang on tight to your kids, especially teens. Don't ignore their cries for attention!!

    Wow, how can 3 people happen to be so evil and in the same family. Also, this was a good example of why you shouldnt trust or teach people to overly trust authority figures. They still listened to them even after they shot them

    The fact that THREE brothers automatically went in on this! They'd all recently been in jail, but to think not one of them stopped it? Always makes me wonder how many other people are out there who could so easily do this. There aren't enough words to describe what worthless pieces of garbage they are.
    Boy, 47 years the families had to live with this. Bless the families of these 4 boys and I hope Sandra is having a good life.

      And all three were no strangers to local lawenforcement. Imagine that.
      I grew up around a few like that, and they managed to stay in trouble long enough to get awarded Indiana's famous 25 to life " habitual criminal" sentence.
      Maybe it's time we need a habitual criminal death sentence, since these types of MORONS never learn. It's way past time.
