I love AUs inspired by older ones from like 2020 because it gives them a happy ending! Like, they can just live out their undead lives and be happy! Also, the nostalgia is real lmao

I've seen some commentators say they didn't like Mike giving William a second chance.
personally, I think this is an interesting detail. usually, the victim has two healthy ways to deal with his injury with the abuser:
1. Unforgiveness. (this includes avoiding the abuser and completely preventing contact with them, expressing all your negative thoughts to the abuser and, in general, deciding never to communicate with them again.)
2. Forgiveness. (this is ALSO the way and many victims of abuse use it. in this case, you need to work through your trauma and your relationship with the abuser with the help of therapists and other professionals).
these two paths are right and there are no wrong ones. in the first case, it is easier for the victim to leave, in the second case, the victim is ready to try to build some other relationship and 'solve the problem'. both of these approaches require a competent approach and the help of professionals, otherwise in the first case the victim may close himself, deciding to simply escape from his problems (it's like a wound that has not been cured, but simply covered with a bandage), perhaps the victim may even become an abuser himself (read about the Karpman triangle).
in the second case, the victim may start to 'save' the abuser, wanting to help them. this usually happens when the abuser does not realize that he is doing badly and does not see the abuse in his actions. (the Karpman triangle also works here).
I won't say that I like your AU, I have a different idea of the characters, but I respect your AU and your work. You made a good video. I think Michael went through too much shit to carry the burden of hating his father. He's just tired.
