When RDR 1âs water physics are better than cyberpunk 2077âs
If Rockstar Games made Cyberpunk 2077 and ran it on the RDR2 engine, it would've been easy 11/10 game. Nobody does it like Rockstar Games, they the kings
@@thedon0516 I've wanted Rockstar to make an open world Cyberpunk game, basically the "genre defining" game that Cyberpunk 2077 could've been, ever since CDPR's flop
@@HereComesThePaine That would be amazing cause they are literally they best at crafting maps and open world environments. As much as I love Grand Theft Auto and the Red Dead series, it would be awesome to see them branch out a new IP cause their creativity is top notch
@@thedon0516 Yes indeed. Imagine if they wanna raise the bar even higher in terms of everything.
Create a world with interesting lore, fantastic combat and the physics of RDR2 but better. No DLC; everything already in the main game. Basically combine Witcher 3 + RDR2 + the game Cyberpunk was hyped up to be.
Have their own take on what the future could look like. That would definitely be the game of the decade.
@@HereComesThePaine Definitely, only thing about games nowadays is the online, hence the reason why it's taking Rockstar so long for to drop GTA 6. Plus GTA V still making a lot of money. I feel like we'll never see a new IP from Rockstar Games anymore unfortunately. And I feel like Online games are ruining the gaming industry especially with the microtransactipns
Crazy how good RDR1 seemed at the time but now RDR2 is just so much better. Imagine what games in 5-10 years time will look like compared to RDR2 now.
Rdr3 or whatever they go with is got to be some insane stuff, especially if they are gonna try and outdo rdr2..

Just imagine if Rockstar would have remade RDR1 on RDR2 engine and let you continue into the first game where the 2nd ends. It kinda does anyway, but to a small extent.
unnecessary
@Crowson Wesley what do you mean bad reviews? Red dead online has a great main story and the moonshine dlc added some interesting content I wish it had more side content but it's a great role-playing experience, the legendary bounties and blood money heists also add some interesting lore
I thought about it, but the gameplay is not as successful in 1 as in 2, it would have been a little "under" I think. Might as well play 1 again. A separate remaster would have been cool
@@svenska112 what was your aim exactly? If you consider that it shouldn't be or don't like the game, just stick to your business. If you want to share your opinion, then do so without generalizing. I wouldn't have made this post if it really was unnecessary.
@@antoinemasson5307 why would it be under though if you remake Red dead 1 inside red dead 2 as a continuation the gameplay will be red dead 2 not 1
The biggest difference to me was the vibe. Red Dead Redemption 1 has a cutthroat vibe in the sense of "many enemies, little hope." Whereas Red Dead Redemption 2 has a heartwarming vibe in the sense of "working towards a better future."
Red dead 2 also has depression
John just wanted to rest in the first game but the authority wouldn't let him :(
Its not heartwarming in the end. It feels like it gives you a false sense of security in the gang until the walls start closing in on you.

For me RDR 1 perfectly captures the classic old feeling of the wild West; even better than rdr2 in such aspect. Nevertheless, I've played both and loved the unforgettable experience I had
RDR2 mainly takes place in the east, while RDR1 had Great Plains, New Austin and Mexico which really captured the old western vibe, in RDR2 there's really not much to do in these places, since New Austin is practically dead compared to other states
Rdr2 in 1899 looks better than rdr1 in 1914
This is one of the things I like the most about RDR1 compared to RDR2 as Iâm a massive western fan.

Red Dead Redemption 1 and GTA 4 aged so incredibly well.
Nearly 80% of rockstar games have aged very well, hard to find one that has aged badly without being too old
GTA V has already aged badly, that game was such a letdown after how GTA IV and especially Vice City and San Andreas were masterpieces. Playing as Trevor was the only cool part of that game.

RDR2 is truly phenomenal, a game way beyond it's time. However, RDR was pretty dope for its time, look at other major releases that year, Mass Effect 2, Assassin's creed: Brotherhood, Halo: Reach, compared to these, RDR looked amazing too.

@@rishikumar2140 RDR is set 12 years after the events of RDR2, technically it's a sequel. Its more unrealistic. Water isn't that detailed.
but i have to say, its pretty.
I really admire and appreciate RDR2 but the original had cowboying boiled down the best I personally prefer that experience. I love the new entry too; the camp life, small details, epic scenery, proper swampland, alligators! It represents the true west a lot better but less so the classic spaghetti western.
Rdr2 is mainly set in the east thatâs why. The music terrain etc isnât meant to produce that feeling of a spaghetti western. But I get what you mean, thatâs why I hope in RDR3 that they make the setting in the west, they could even make it a prequel of rdr2 seeing as the gang fled from the west at the start.
@@charlietaylor4835 Good point. Although when I think western I mostly think the mid-west desert areas which is what RDR1 focuses on. RDR2 stretches a bit further east but neither game exactly reaches the east or west coast :) West coast could make an interesting setting for sure, or maybe mix RDR with Oregon Trail and cross the whole country ;)
That's how I always described it - RDR1 was the italo western. Cold, cynical, cool. RDR2 was a grande classic western.

I would like to see Rockstar Games deliver any kind of news about the future of RDR2. I have lost hope, because I was here playing RDR2 online when it was in Beta version. Everytime Rockstar Games added a new update, animals disappeared from the game, they worked on this game for yrs. I think Rockstar Games really don't know what they are doing. They lucked out with GTA Online, this is why we only get GTA Online updates, it seems like that is the only thing they know. This is also why we haven't heard or seen GTA 6. Their programmers are not the best in the business.
Personally, I liked the zombie part of RDR1, but the graphics and gameplay is better in RDR2, however you can't access Mexico like you can in the 1st one.
Me too man, rdr2 is one of my favorite games of all time (uncharted 4 is right beside it). I love the online part of the game, I am currently level 65 and I have fully maxed out bounty hunter role and almost maxed out trader and collector. I would continue to play the online but it gets so tedious and boring doing the same thing over and over again. I remember back then how high the expectations were for RDR2, specially the Online, many of us thought it was going to be RDR1 with better graphics keeping most of the gameplay. RDR1 Online is way better with the whole conception of Shootouts, Grab the Bag, Hold your own, etc.. The verbal insults from each character, man, I miss that. There was a feeling of a mystical world, the old west.
Don't forget to say " In my opinion"
Cause RDR 2 blows RDR 1 out of water ( In my opinion and millions of other ). Thank you
Rdr2 is clear, much much better than rdr1
@@matteo4196 I wouldn't say MUCH MUCH better. Because Honastly I think even though they are both wild west games, they both do it differently. Rdr2 has a very "gangster" feel to it with you being in a very notorious gang, plus the honor system was alot more important when it came to the story. Rdr1 had a very "Clint Eastwood" feel to it because you are mostly on your own in a world full of gunslinging maniacs. While you do have recurring characters, John always has one goal in mind. To kill his past gang members so he can get his family back. Honastly I think the best way I've seen others describe it is
"Rdr1 feels like a Clint eastwood western,
And Rdr2 feels like a Quentin Tarantino western"
Plus even the settings feel different. Rdr1 had a very old style spaghetti western look especially since most of it is in the desert while Rdr2 has alot more forests and nature in it. Hell even the deaths of npc feel different. In Rdr1 you could disarm people, shoot their legs or arms to make it harder for them, the npcs in Rdr1 are alot more over exaggerated especially the way they move when in a shootout. In Rdr2 if you shoot them in the legs they just get back up like its nothing but a scratch. They may limp abit bit that's really it. I honestly prefer rdr1 when it comes to gameplay and setting. Sure Rdr2 looks better and has more options but that doesn't automatically make it better. Story wise Rdr2 is probably where it exceeds at the most. If you wanna just have a fun time blasting people away like your Clint Eastwood rdr1 is way better for ya. But if ya want to actually be very invested in the story Rdr2 has got ya covered. I'm sorry I love Rdr2 an all but Rdr1 suits me personally better. When I go into a wild west game i expect over exaggerated deaths and badass gameplay. And rdr1 exceeds at that. Plus the dead eye in Rdr1 is just way better than Rdr2. Smoking a cigar doesn't even add much to your dead eye and Plus Rdr1s dead eye lasts longer and is easier to get back. Many sees this as a flaw but I see it as a positive as it means you really can feel like a loner badass when playing Rdr1. So yeah it honestly depends on how you like Wild West games.
@@jackbluehq6653 Thank you for putting in words what I also wanted to write. đ
@@JPeeee It's fine. Like I said rdr1 and rdr2 seem like very similar games but there really not. Sure they are in the same story but each game gives a different perspective from the wild west. Rdr1 shows the badass loner and rdr2 shows the badass gangster. It may not seem different but they really are when giving a diffrent spin on the wild genre.

But when I played RD1 yesterday there was something so good about it, I think it had to do with it being simplistic in it's own unique way while still showing attention to detail, haven't finished the story but I love it so far, I feel as if sometimes RD2 is just too extra and tries to show off more than it needs to, to the point where sometimes it just gets repetitive, but with RD1 the simplicity of the Xbox 360 vibe is where I'm sold on RD1 I think both games are amazing, but I find much more fun when I'm playing RD1.

@@EdgarHernandez-bg1pu none of the protagonists liked them, but dutch, bill, Javier, Micah and his men held all the decision making power at camp, that's why cleet and Joe stayed. Did you even pay any attention to rdr2s story? Alot of this stuff makes sense to a majority of players.
amazing how RDR1 already delivered a great game, good graphics and details. RDR2 has made a good leap in quality and improvements, but both are beautiful and amazing. RDR1 doesn't lose as much.
Love even more Rdr1 after i played Rdr2 , now i know the entire story , i thinking about play Rdr1 to see the dialogues talking about the gang
Top bro good video
So in part they are both still amazing games
The mission design/the sound track/the world are better in rdr1
huge improvement. :D
Thank You
Rdr1 2010 y Rdr2 2018, No hay punto de comparaciĂłn, Obras maestras â€ïž, Al nivel de the last of us
Estou jogando o Red Dead 1 no emulador RPCS3 no meu Computador.
Depois que finalizar vou para o RDR2.
I have one thousand hours playtime in rdr2 and had no idea you could move the wind turbines. The more you know!!
Can you somehow get the train to explode? That'd be whack if so lol
@@HereComesThePaine Man, I have no idea. I've never seen it done, so you might not be able to. But to be honest, I've also never tried it before đ€
Wow Thats awesome đ
I remember always shooting the limbs off of the cacti in the first red dead redemption.
Just realised how John in red dead 2 walks like he's ready to draw at any moment, like his hands are close to his hips where his gun is, but in read dead 1 he walks more naturally probably due to him becoming more civilized
I haven't played rdr1 is it more like a sequel to rdr2's story
@@asael4543 yes its a sequel
actually johns walk in rdr2 is how rob walks in real life, it has nothing to do about drawing a gunn
@@theamericanboah5435 well if you see johns walk in red dead 1 its more open then it is in read dead 2. His walk in red dead 2 is more close and reserved.
@@DEVIKIER tbh I never liked his walk in rdr1, I like his walk more in rdr2 because its more natural.
It's 8 years difference
Rockstar will never disappoint, hopefully we'll get RDR3 soon but it'll probably take a couple of years
RDR3 Isn't coming in a while, but when it comes i will probably pray my dad to buy it. I think he would agree, he loves to play rdr too.
@@no_name8873 you will be an adult by the time R* comes out with RDR3 lol
The definition of improvement
Walking and climbing ladders looks so identical I can't even tell the difference.
You should have shown the dead eye comparaison. Its different between the two games. In rdr1 when you acquired target and let it go its start to shoot very fast (like what they others see in real life. In rdr2 its just start shooting slow mo all the target. Also the feel when shooting someone inrdr1 is great with the screen having a distortion when hiting a deadly shoot. Also, and I get it that it will not work with the bath mechanic, but in rdr1 when your getting shot you see the impact on marston chest/legs etc. In rdr2 you dont see where your getting hit, their is no blood on shirt or anything and when you die then the impact are shown. (I gueess that this will make no sense beacause of the bath mechanic and holes in everywere that do not disapear and your character will always be all red from blood) (like in metal gear solid phantom pain)
I guess Dutch and Hosea taught Arthur and John everything, except how to swim
Arthur can swim....
@@ChrisBrown-ir6sf not good at all...
Notice how John got a little pep in his step in Rdr đ
Anyone dislike the orange filter in the desert
Makes me prefer the first game
Because you dont have playes rdr 2 right?
1 still has the best vibe and the best john marston
John marston is badass in RDR2
Remember that his Art cover moment is in RDR2?
probably because arthur is the main character in rdr2?
Nah
There are two of them. in Chapter 1-6 you play as Arthur Morgan in the Epilogue you play as John Marston
I really hope they will remaster RDR1 and re-release it on PC or at least PS4/PS5, I always wanted to play this one!!
Its a old game so i think they are not releasing the game on ps4 / ps5 anymore.
@@no_name8873 especially with all of the un-optimized parts, it's a miracle that it even work in the first places not saying porting it to others platforms
Well they did
at 1:47 when it said swimming i was like are you kidding? john cant swim
The only downside of RDR1 for me is animation and that's it
No Red Dead 1 o cacto cai ao atirar sim, eu ja testei
For the gameplay i prefer RDR1 bcz its (so fast).
RDR1 For me the best atmosphere of the old west, the atmosphere of Mexico and the revolution, the background music gives you a special touch that you are there. Above all best online game.
Thoroughly playing rd1 on x360 still sucha good lookijg game there are things u see that I didjt encounter back in 2010 cause i slick rushed through it without taking in the world, mane đ„đ„đ„đ„
RDR2 has better physics but RDR1 has the perfect essence of wild west and RDR1 has achieved a lot under a small sizeđđż. It's the winner for me.
RDR 2 is based on East so it never supposed to be game about wild west. Also its not only about physics. The graphics, Gameplay, side Missions, details, Story are all superior. A completely worthy upgrade from its former.
True said about the essence of the Wild West. I love rdr but I wish to see a third part that captures the "western" vibe the first game did a little bit more.
I like how RDR1 has this feeling of Government and Civilization and the age of Outlaws is dead
And RDR2 has this feeling of being a Gunslinger and the world of Outlaws is still alive
Good comparison, I can only add #SaveRedDeadOnline hoping to see this game alive and not killed by Trollstar
I believe the next evolution of game play will have to be virtual reality. The current level of graphics in a lot of games like RDR2 is just amazing, not much more you can do with it except to put the player in the game through VR.
