As a Ukrianian, I appreciate the east borders, but the west is weird. Historically, Ukrainians/Ruthenians inhabited Galicia since the times of Galicia-Volyhnia Duchy, the only city with Polish majority was Lwów, whilst the region itself had Ukrainian majority. It was an enclave. Even Pszemyśl had Ukrainian majority by early 1900s.

Why would Süddeutschbund capital located on Salzburg? It would be logical to choose either Wien or Munchen, or other cities on Danube like Ingolstadt or Regensburg

Thank you for being one of the only ones to split Germany into north and south. Cultural differences between the two are that big that sometimes I wonder how this isn’t the case irl. Maybe give the two different names like Saxony and Danubia or something like that. Also official languages of north Germany should be low german and middle german.

As a Catalan I like the Iberian peninsula map although a state with all the territories where Catalan is spoken would have been better. And no way it would be a monarchy unless if the king came from the House of Barcelona or had really culturally adapt to the Catalan culture. Regarding the other countries some look like more realistic or fair than others. Overall, it looks you have spent lots of time doing the video so congrats for the job!

good question, been thinking about the idea for awhile but not sure how to tackle it really, Oceania outside of Australia and New Zealand isn't very well known being mostly made up of small island nation so it's rather hard to visualize much change. Any suggestions? :)

North german conderation should have a different flag. The black, red and gold is a pan-German flag and a reference to the hre.
A North German conderation would (like irl) be a combination of its primary constituants flags. Irl it was prussia (black-white) and the hanseatic league (red-white).
Outside the hanseatic league the contenders are saxony (white-green) and westfallia (white-blue). Alternatively a hanovarian dominated North germany might do themselves (white-gold)

Not at all. Before the mass ethnic cleansing programmes of the Young Turk government and then the Kemalist Nationalists, all those regions plus the historic region of Pontus were majority Greek, and Greek minorities reached as far in land as present day Malatya (in Greek Melitene) and Gumushane.

Some cliches like splinted Spain and UK, greater portugal, divided Belgium, Greater Greece, however I like how you didn't make Austria Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, more annoying cliches. Also i don't see probable a mezzogiorno independent, more probably Padania but not mezzogiorno.

I would make all of these Kingdoms. Perfect monarchist Europe. And no independent Scotland as that just doesn’t actually work, it’s simply not capable of being an independent state.
I wanna be honest, no hate... I know it's mostly for fun and represents only alternative, but it actually also shows your political orientations. Even if it's not made to offense anyone, as a history learner, I feel very sad to see a map redrawn like this... let's explain what's possible(that's ok), what's impossible (not ok but since it's fun it's ok) and what's corrupted by some sorts of propaganda (really bad, change your mind pls)
British isles: honestly, this is the most possible one. Ireland could have been reunited, but you have to know the IRA supported the idea of Northern Ireland and even an Irish dominion, it's future politics of ireland that wanted a review of the treaty. So reunited Ireland is impossible at 75%.
Scottland could have been independant in 2016 by only 5% so it's very nice alt-his, and so England and Wales would have been like this I guess.
Iberic peninsula: Honestly... this is weird, You make Catalonia and Basque independant, so... why are they still monarchies? Like, the monarchy is litterally a union of different cultures, + the fact that catalonia is just Catalonia is very weird, there are also lots of those movements in Valence (former kingdom of Aragon borders) Btw it was mostly in 2017, not now. Basque is Ok, but why not Andalusia independant then? If you think that's because Andalusia is just the dead body of Al-Andalous, it's serious propaganda you have here. The Galicia into Portugal is very cringe too. Galicia is a Celtic culture, people think Portugal can claim them because of 2 things: Portugal was created on those lands more than 1000 years ago, but the borders changed a lot, Portugal was actually made here because real Portugal arround year 800 didn't have any teritories because of the emirat of Cordoue. There is also a french guy like 30 years ago that said "Hey, isn't Portugal litterally Port- Gaul" which could mean that Galicia's culture is dead body of Gaul... but nowadays we know that Portugal have litterally nothing to do in Galicia (propaganda)
France: Britanny independant is ok, but why giving it only 3 french departments, in France it's 4 and Britanny claims 5 (because the fifth got un-britannysed like 30 years ago to make regions more equals. Giving Wallonia to france is too cringe, belgium people don't want to be French trust me. And the worst thing: Occitania independant.... well yes but actually no. You have to know that south of France is composed of mostly 4 different cultures: Aquitaine, Occitania(Wisigoth), Provence (Ostrogoth) and Corsica (Vandals) Corsica has nothing to do with southern France. Then Provence has nothing to do with Occitania. Occitania don't exist anymore since more than 1500 years, in all those territories, the traditions got conserved by less than 20% of the population, and now, new generations are closer to 5-10%. Aquitaine is absolutely different, it was almost independant for a very long time, got colonized by arabic caliphat, and then return to France. The english used the territory during the 100 years war, but trust me, this kind of Occitania is the ultimate propaganda of Europe, 4 absolute different cultures...
netherlands and luxembourg are ok. Germany is somehow weird, here, it's the germany peace treaty proposed by Winston Churchill (without Hungary), but without UK or France, it's impossible to happen. A different Germany is ok but those borders are so weird and don't fit the alt-his.
You made Switzerland keeping the napoleonic heritage.... whut??? impossible, obviously.
Italy is ok, but I think Rome should have been independant, or part of the North, not the South that's mostly poor and don't really want the influence of Rome.
I won't discuss Yougoslavian territories because in olny 30 years, we don't have the necessary history about all those states to be very clear so I say it's ok but I actually don't know (remember there are lots of Propaganda from all the 3 croatia, Serbia and Bosnia, seeing Montenegro into Serbia let me think you trust mostly the serbian one and tolerate the croatian.
Albanian borders are weird, you cut Kosovo to say "look, everyone happy now" but... humm... actually not, you just transformed the Kosovo problem into Serbia-Albania. Hellenic Empire is very weird, like.... why an Empire? Empire means colonies, meaning the eastern part should be turtish but are actually colonies, you just transformed the tensions from our realities with a uno reverse card.
Central slavics: I actually like the fact that sorbs are part of Czechia, but don't understand why Ruthenia for slovakia, like... it's a Ukrainian culture. Also, Poland have most eastern borders, it's making new tensions with Poland getting all of Callicia.
Nordic and baltic countries are ok, just don't understand why there's a mini-Livonia... Caucasus will for sure be the source of civils wars, you made Kurdistan independant (I think) but actually give Kurdish territories to Armenia... Azerbaijan would probably be the Afghanistan of this alt-his...
And so... the 3 russian states being independant is so weird, the northern ones are basically more tensions, but the caucasian one....
Overall, it's a very clean map, but pls, learn history by yourself and don't make a mixture of different kind of propagandas, there, it's mostly hate against Western powers, muslims and Russia, enough to make the end of the world.
I read your comment with a lot of interest. I also happen to be an expert of history and i would like to counter-argue some points you mentioned:
Occitania: It's not easy to find a national identity in south France nowadays, and the occitan language is really a minority. If you really want to divide France it's better to create an independent Corsica.
Brittany: You said Brittany should have 4/5 departments, not 3 as in map. Again, it's hard to create Brittany as it has never beenan independent state since medieval times. There are obviously independence movements but they're mostly because of Celtic Breton, the language spoken just in 1 department, and there too it is very rare to here someone speak it.
Livonia, Karelia, Rhineland:
Agree: shouldn't exist
Scotland: Since you've stressed the fact that Brittany should be independent there's no way why Scotland shouldn't; it's been the only independentist movement with Catalonia capable to do something practical in recent times: the fact that it heavily lost the referendum implies that surely Occitania and Brittany would lose.
Andalusia: simply doesn't have language difference with Spanish whereas Basque Country and Catalonia really do.
