You really answered my question, because I bought a winkbed plus recently and I was concerned about the firmness if I decided to exchange within my 120 day trial to the luxury firm, which is a few points down on their firmness scale. Now knowing that the luxury firm is close in firmness to the plus, I think I am going to stay with the plus version. I think the winkbed plus is quite firm, and I am a side sleeper but I find it hard to sleep on the side with the winkbed Plus. I definitely feel that it is very durable and what has worked for me is sleeping on my back with the adjustable base that winkbed sells and using it to go at zero gravity; that is where I feel my best at night. I do think that if anyone want to sleep on your side then I would suggest buying a mattress topper because the plus version doesn't give much and I haven't slept too well on my sides. By the way, I am a 250 pound woman who is a combination sleeper. I think what really sold me on the winkbed is its durability and longevity. It is much better quality than any bed I have ever had and that is why I'm keeping it.
Just updated my review (above) and then saw yours. I think you are spot on. Though I wanted to point out that according to Winkbeds (I spoke with a rep) - the Firm version is the firmest of all. The next would be the Plus, followed by the Luxury Firm. Totally agree that the Plus is QUITE firm, but not neccessarily uncomfortable IMO. I think it's just like you stated - durable. I for one may jump ship and try to swap to the Luxury Firm. PLease let me know if you make any changes!
@@Big_Pipe70 Thanks for your response. I did go ahead and exchange it because I needed a mattress that I could lay on my side with all the time (I couldn't really lay on my side with the winkbed Plus). I actually exchanged it for the soft version and returned my winkbed Plus within the 120 day trial. At first I thought that the softer winkbed would be too soft for me, but I was reading some reviews that it was really good for side sleepers so I ordered it. I discovered that the soft was not too soft as I was afraid it would be, in fact it was perfect for me! I have been getting a great night sleep every night since then. I think it would be great for any dedicated side sleeper, because it gives in the hip area, but also is firm enough in the other necessary support areas. It was also supportive enough if I wanted to sleep on my back. It was really easy to return and I had no issues, but I did have to call a month later and make sure that they gave me the $200 refund since it was within the 60 day exchange trial period. I found that their customer service was very easy to work with. I highly recommend the winkbed soft to any person who needs a comfy, soft bed that also offers great support. I really feel it is extremely high quality. I didn't feel like it was too soft and "sunk" like most other soft beds do.
@@kiasumsam You have my attention! I'm 6'1 280 and a side sleeper. I ordered the plus. I love the stability and support the bed offers. It doesn't feel cheap at all! The downside, it's hard as a rock! My shoulders and hips are killing me and I'm litteraly writing this as I regret having to spend night 8 on it. I did put a 3 inch latex topper on it, but couldn't feel the bed. Anyways, I feel the sales reps did a good job helping me, but now it seems they heard my weight and pushed the plus. I'm more of a medium firm pillow top kinda guy. Since I already used my first pick on the plus, I'm having a very hard time deciding on the luxury firm or the soft. I don't like feeling like I'm sinking in the bed and I don't want to struggle to get up and out of it. However, I love the feeling of a soft comfortable support around my hips and shoulders about an inch or 2. The site says the soft is around a 6 in firmness which is really a medium. So, since we're pretty much the same I thought I'd ask if you could be my voice of reason and convince me to get the soft or the luxury firm? Thanks!
@@matthewc2810 Hello! Yes, I love the soft one, and it is not too much of a "sinking in" soft mattress; you go down only some and it is still easy to get up and out of it. I do agree, I think it's more of a medium than soft feel. I think it is still firm enough for needed support and it has the support needed for the back around the lumbar region, which I really need. I sleep so much better on my sides because of the softness for my hips; it is supportive yet very comfortable. I have had mine a little over a year and a half, and I have noticed it is slightly sinking in the middle more (but only slight) and angling towards the side you get out of bed from. This mattress cannot be flipped or turned around (the lumbar support won't be there if you turn it around), so there really is no way to fix the slight sinking. To fix the angling problem, I suggest getting out of the bed on the other side to even it out. I have been curious about the luxury firm, but I worry it'll be too firm for me as a side sleeper since the firmness level is so close to the firm and plus levels on their firmness scale. It might retain better shape than the soft over time, but it will be more firm for side sleepers, so I hope it'll be good. For me, I still really love the soft one and it has greatly helped me with its softness and support. Even if I had the option to switch today, I'd still stick with the soft one instead of the other levels.
I used to have horrible back and shoulder problems. I have had the Winkbed Firmer (between Luxury Firm and Plus) and it is the best matress I have ever owned. I would totally recommend it!!!
9:03 Thank you ! The Latex foam on the plus will make a huge difference in the thickness of the pillowy support or bounce than the coil on the luxury firm for me.

azesm We bought a WinkBed Plus a couple of months ago and absolutely love it. Feels very substantial and high quality. Not too firm, not too soft, it’s just right. Even the dog loves it, and she hated the Purple 3! One small downside is its very bulky and difficult to rotate. Best sleep ever. I would definitely buy it again.
Hi Pam. Looks like it's been about a year since you had the mattress. Do you still feel the same after this time? Also, are you a back, side, or stomach sleeper. I am about 230 lbs and have the softer version and doesn't feel quite supportive enough in the middle of the mattress. However, I do suffer from shoulder issues and need something soft enough for the pressure relief as I sleep on my side. Thank you
@@jp-oz9jd I was just thinking this morning how much I love this mattress! My husband is your weight and he loves it too. I do notice it becoming less comfortable when it’s time to rotate it, which we do about every three months. My husband and I are both side sleepers.

You say the Luxury Firm & The Plus feel only a hair difference but almost the same. Why should we pay an extra $200 for more of the same. We all want a modern mattress with durability for at least 7 years. So far we have tried 3 different mattresses that come in a box only to have to return them all on the count that they did not hold up to what we read about them. The 3 of them had sagged in the same areas we slept on. Only to feel neck, hip & shoulder pain in the morning. Is there a mattress company who makes a good sturdy long lasting bed that won’t cost a small fortune?

Do you have a correct bed frame/foundation. Majority of the time when sagging happens is from not have a supportive enough foundation
That's nonsense you probably have the wrong bed frame and you're not even telling us what softness level you got
