Wow, I'm pretty sure the Rialto came out in 1983. That's a very early one. These toilets are aren't super performers, but I've seen 3.5 gpf toilets that were worse than this. I love my San Raphael! They push heavy wastes down the trap early in the flush, but floating wastes tend to swirl around until the very end, and may require a second flush. I still love how innovative the lowboy design is. The older ones with brass valves are really quiet.
@@BTRPlumbing It was the replacement for the Pompton. The Pompton and Rialto were known for being extra compact too. A typical round front toilet would tick out 26" or more from the wall, but a Rialto or Pompton was only 25" if it was set on the proper rough in. good for tight bathrooms.
@@vintagekohler6085 these just need some bowl rinse fed from the flapper. If I were to make a lowboy single piece toilet I’d do that for a more powerful bowl rinse.
@@charlesrodriguez7984 that would help but by design, the water level in the tank is below the rim so it's impossible to do that. Most low profile one piece toilets feed the rim from the flapper nowadays, but that means they forfeit the overflow proof feature.
I remember when I was like 3 or 4 it was 1997 and my family and I were in Florida doing Disney somewhere, can't remember which park or where exactly we were but I saw one of these and the double hole freaked me outttt
Hey dude you got the best video in the world and everyone else has the ugliest reader but you got the best and the clay toilet and dude your videos are so good I like them too so have a good day bye.

That’s awesome! I had no clue they were released in 83! I’m so happy to know that now!

@@vintagekohler6085 yeah and that’s what the overflow tube is for so toilets are well thought out for tank overflow protection in general
Yay old Kohler :))))
This did awesome with the tests! I hope to get mine working like yours soon! I always liked these.
I think my dad‘s parents have that kind of toilet in their house.
5:46 nicest sound I heard a toilet make
I’d put this in my bathroom if the toilet was white.
I love these
With a weird trapway passage like that, I’m surprised it can preform this good!

Yay!!!! My favorite lowboy toilet! Can you film your Bolton next
Yay, my vote won!
Awesome! Was there a upside down porta potty near here?
Yup haha
Probably got the 88 because the 3 kinda looked like an 8
I like these except it tend to have not enough bowl rinse but anyways the rating is 9/10. Same as the kohler pompton
Awesome!
Impressive!
These toilets perform way better than a crapper bay toilet.
Nice, I think at a house we went to there were a couple San Raphaels and one of them was white and one of them was maroon
They were the front flusher San Raphaels
@@cooperschwartz318 ewwwdsdwewwww!!
They were from the late 80’s or 90’s and I liked them

Why is there holes in the tank
Idk
It appears to perform better than the San Raphael. Does round vs elongated really make that much of a difference?

Wonder how that would work with 1.28G and the kohler 360 degree flush valve?
Most likely wouldn’t change anything
