Sthithi (English: Plight) is a 2003 Malayalam feature film written and directed by R. Sarath. The film tells the tale of a couple employed in the Secretariat. It stars Unni Menon, Nandini Ghosal, Master Achuth, Master Anand Pillay and Mallika Sukumaran. It is playback singer Unni Menon's debut film as an actor. He also composed a couple of songs for the film. Bengali actress and Odissi dancer, Nandini Ghosal plays the female lead. Master Anand Pillay who played the role of their son, hails from Thiruvananthapuram, and is a famous quizzer and quizmaster who had participated in the TV show Kuttikalodano Kali

നഗരത്തിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്ന ഇടത്തരം മലയാളികുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ജീവിതാവസ്ഥാന്തരം അവതരിപ്പിച്ച സിനിമ. ഈ പടം ടീവിയിൽ ഇട്ടു കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. ചെറുപ്പത്തിൽ ഇതിലെ പാട്ട് കാണുമ്പോഴൊക്കെ കാണാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതാണ് ഈ ചിത്രം.
ഇത്തരം സിനിമകൾ കാണുമ്പോൾ നല്ല ഫീലാണ്.

പാട് കേട്ട് കാണാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച സിനിമയാണ്.. വളരെ സദരണയ രീതിയിലുള്ള സിനിമ....ഉണ്ണി മേനോന്റെ ശബ്ദം മനോഹരമായിരിക്കുന്നു....വീണയും വളരെ നന്നയി....
പക്ഷെ കഥക്ക് ഒരു നല്ല പര്യവസാനം ഇല്ലാതായപോലെ തോന്നി....
ഒരു ചെമ്പനീർപ്പൂവിറുത്തു ഞാനോമലേ... എന്ന ഗാനം കേട്ടു ഞാൻ മയങ്ങി. കുറെ പാട്ടുകൾ പാടി നോക്കിയ പരിചയമുണ്ട്. ഈ പാട്ടാണ് ഏറ്റവും ശ്രുതിമധുരമായി തോന്നിയത്.😍😍 ഉണ്ണി മേനോൻ മനോഹരമായി പാടിയ ഗാനം. ആരെയും ഭാവഗായകനാക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദം'😍😍🎶🎶സ്ഥിതി എന്ന സിനിമയിലേതാണ് പാട്ട് എന്ന് കണ്ടപ്പോൾ Search ചെയ്തു. കണ്ടു. വളരെ നല്ല സിനിമ .
സ്ഥിതി ഒരു സത്യം ആണ് അനുഭവം ആണ് ഒരുപാട് വാടക വീടുകൾ ഏറ്റവും അവസാനം താമസിച്ച വീട് മറക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല അത് പോലെ മനോഹരം ആയ വീട് അടുക്കളയിൽ വറ്റാത്ത കിണർ എന്നും ഓർമയിൽ ഒരു നൊസ്റ്റാൾജിക് വീട് !

when compared to other malayalam film this film was a short film ,a very silent film which dosen't includes any fight scenes .the story of vivek and family and difficulties faced by them.this film song has a power of strong nostalgia and when we hear it creates a fantastic mood of relax .the beauty of each and every word of this song lyrics enriches the attraction of this film.

Holy Moly!
The husband and wife have two kids they're trying to raise.
They're struggling (the name of the movie) to survive.
They're behind in their bills.
They have to move to another apartment of a relative because they can't afford the one they're in.
The mother's elderly father is ill and needs surgery that they can't afford.
The mother is now in prison for an illegal protest, and only God knows for how long.
The father is all distraught because he has to deal with the two kids on his own.
The father thought the two kids were missing because they didn't have enough sense to wait at the school when he came to pick them up - they were out playing kick ball elsewhere!
The father realizes how much he misses his wife and didn't appreciate her when he should have.
And now, the Grandfather, the wife's father goes to the prison to see his daughter, and he drops dead on the spot.
No happy ending here!
