Yeah, they did shows without getting paid, that is some bullcrap, Diddy is crap. And diddy was like What, that is not true, He didn't care for this group a single bit. They were just dollar signs. In the whole Making the Band tour they did not get paid at all.
And this is the main reason why people need to think twice before they get into the music industry. There's more to it than the fame & the fortune. People are so quick to sign a contract without thinking about what they're getting themselves into. :(

You could tell she always liked the music, but she wasn't willing to sacrifice everything to the industry. The fact that so many times she was willing to quit the band is very telling of where her heart was. I do love Shannon so much though. While Dawn and Aundrea were willing to continue on as three after D and Aubrey got fired, Shannon understood what it meant to be a group member and a part of that family. Love Momma Shannon for that.

I think that the first time Diddy just wanted to do a solo thing with Dawn, (which to be honest, i don't really understand...) and i think once he fired aubrey and that kind of broke the band, i think he already knew he was done with the other girls. i don't understand why he kept aundrea around as long as he did. i think he had known for a while he was going to let her go too.

Aundrea makes no sense to me. She bailed on Aubrey a few years later and then bailed on DK when they tried to reunite. She never really wanted to do it.
As much as I love Drea, I was disappointed on how much of a quitter she became. First, she wanted to quit DK before they disbanded and I feel that ever since this move, Diddy saw her in a very unfavorable light - that and that she was a weak dancer didn't help (he called her and Aubrey the weak links of the group). She really should've talked to ALL the girls before sending the boss an email about wanting to quit, cause no one likes a quitter. And when I first saw this in 09, I thought Diddy was too harsh, but looking at it now, he was right to not feel comfortable with her on the label. She would quit on Aubrey's show, then again on DK's 2014 reunion. So while I'll always be a fan of hers, she sealed her own fate here and is very disappointing as a quitter.
This is very valid. I still hate how Puffy handled managing this group, and to some degree, I believe that Drea wouldn't have started looking for the door way back in 2008 if things hadn't already been falling apart as a result of Puff's shadiness. But I do understand the disappointment in her tendency to jump ship rather than confront things as evidenced by how many times she's done this over the years. Still love her though.

She does speak her mind and maybe she should have shut up but he saw something in Dawn. I mean why fire Aundrea? He needed Dawn by herself. She wrote, produced, sang and that was right up his alley. But like they say what you do in the dark eventually comes to the light.
