    Good and clear explanation. one mistake made in intial stage ; as you mentioned l/d=20xM.Fx0.8 here 0.8 not considered in calculation. you forgot to include it.

    Excellent presentation and thank you !!! Close up bars (U-bars) should be provide for all four faces if the slab is discontinued at four edges. If you do not mind could you please use standard paper sizes A4 or A3 and make the best use of it in terms of space as well as good organised calculations. Thanks once again!

    With high grade steel slab thickness is more. Is there any approved calculation method to reduce thickness
    Such as using compression steel

    torsionaal reinforcements is provide at top and that is twice the area of steel caalculated or divide by half?also is torsional reinforcemnt necessary if slab is continous?

    Mam i hv one confusion. Do we need to find out effective depth along y- direction also or should we use the same 'd' for calculating effective span in y- direction

    Hi sir
    When we design a RCC slab to determine the thickness of slab why we dont determine the thickness of it directly? I mean why we find an initial thickness for it by estimation at first and then we select a suitable thickness.
    Is there any rule to follow in estimation step?

      All the calculations are always done with respect to shorter span only

    Edge strip reinf should be 216 mm2 per 1000mm length of strip which gives 5 nos 8mm dia bar per 1000 mm length of span of edge strip. But u said it 5 nos 8mm dia reinf irrespective of length of edge strip.Plz correct this portion in your videos.or if i am wrong correct me.
