    Good to see that you guys have a chip for the new PWX2.. i think is one of the easiest and cleanest install you can get with a chip .All plug and play with original connectors. I am very happy with mine, no problems so far and i have put almost 4000km on my Haibike. Good job guys ;)

    Just bought a speedbox2 for my Yamaha PW. Just 2 small questions, that not used free connector on the vid is that for the lights 36volts? If so guess, that when U switch on the light, the bike is also in speedmode? Thx 4 the good installation vid. Pretty straight forward.

    Hi, just ordered one of these, great video, looks really simple.
    I just have one question.
    You know when you are showing which cables NOT to disconnect, one of them seems to be not connected to anything, what is that one used for?
    Would a throttle connect to that??
    Thanks

    Is there eny risk to the motor breaking down much sooner when you tuning a Ebike motor like this or when you do the trick by moving the magnet an sensor to the crank??

    • @SpeedBoxTuning
      @SpeedBoxTuning  Před 3 lety +4

      Our experience is that mid drives like Bosch, Yamaha, Shimano and many others can easilly handle the tuning. So no risk. Speed limit is there because of the law, not because of weak motor.

    Does anyone know which 'speedbox' works for 'Giant grandtour E+ 500 watt (2018)'?I know this Giant Ebike is using a Yamaha Motor, but I don't know which one. Giant also made some small change to it and called it 'SyncDrive'.

    • @geraldhenrickson7472
      @geraldhenrickson7472 Před 5 měsíci

      That approach does not always work plus ...your speedometer/odometer (if you have one) reads incorrectly. Also...in an area where the police are cracking down on eBikes , while writing a speeding ticket will ask why the wheel sensor assembly is languishing on the left crank arm. They are not stupid. Answer truthfully or you will get in further trouble. They may iimpound a modified eBIke. In a world where many people hate eBikes, (non-eBike riders included.) it is best to remain stealthy in such matters.

    Yes, you could spend thousands of dollars on an eBike czcams.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ and get something much higher quality. However, if you're looking for a basic model to try out eBiking this is a great choice. The assembly is easy as far as bikes go (took about an hour for me to do, I'm not an expert). All tools needed are included. I added the plastic mud guards you see and a more comfortable seat. The other reviews are correct that you're probably going to want a better seat (Giddy Up! Bike Seat is what I got - super comfortable). The battery easily handles a 2-4 hour ride if you add some of your own pedal power. I haven't even gotten it up to top speed yet - it is very fast. Components are not top of the line, but decent for the price and work just fine. It works great on dirt roads and singletrack and pavement although too heavy to do tricks or any serious technical mountain biking. I'm looking forward to using it a lot over the summer. Tons of fun!
