Let Me start by saying we should NOT be picking in this draft in the 1st rd. Trade it for Rutgers Mcgroarty.
My God, the LAST THING the Devils need is another young Defensemen who won't be able to crack the lineup for YEARS to come. Did anyone watch last year? Luke Hughes, as good as he is and a #4 overall pick got manhandled on a nightly basis. By the end of the season Luke was looking shell-shocked after some on the fore checkers were done with him. We need a 3rd line center with potential to move up.

Im hoping for Beckett Sennecke, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, Sam Dickenson or Stian Solberg i think we can use a big kid who can use their body n put in work..Eiserman just reminds me of Holtz 2.0.. everything said about Holtz is being said about Cole…
He does need to improve his foot speed and edge work (Cole Eiserman) but has his commitment to Boston University under Jay Pandolfo. I’m leaning towards the big bodies like MBN, Beckett Sennecke. I find physicality, goal scoring is a unique thing to come across it depends on 2-9
I would love for them to get dickinson but I dont think he'll be there.
@@HighPlainsDrifter53which is why I did not mention him. I internally have my own list. I do look at other scenarios at who possible is available, but cutting it with my criteria like Big, physical, playmaking, goal scorer, with and without the puck, and compete.
No way is McGroarty worth a 1st round pick (at least not this year's 1st round pick, anyway) imo.
Eiserman is not my first choice
Eiserman cannot skate. He is the type of player who is not good on the rush or in transition. That screams Holtz 2.0. I'd rather go after a physical center who is a hard worker and isn't afraid to go into the boards and dig out pucks. Konsta Helenius is that dog, and if he's available, should be the pick.
He absolutely CAN skate.
You guys just need to give Holtz some more time. He’s a good player but more of a longer project. Look how long Laf took. Very few prospects put it all together their first 3 years. Players typically enter their prime between years 24-26.

"His skating is another major pain point in his game - he’s sporting neither quick acceleration nor high-end top speed, and it costs him in a rush-style offense and in transition. There’s no denying his skill in a cycle offense; he’s great at finding space to shoot when he doesn’t have possession of the puck and has a quick-fire trigger from tight spaces which can and should be considered a coveted asset. At the same time, his struggles with straight-line speed and acceleration don’t project particularly well to a rush-style system that’s reliant on speedy breakouts and capitalizing on odd-man rushes."
The Devils run a rush offense.
The team just signed a goalie for only two years. The organization needs to draft the best goalie in this years draft no ifs or ands about it .
Not a good idea to take a goalie at 10.
Trade the pick. I don't even want them to think about drafting someone with that 10th overall pick.
