It sounds like you had a great reading month and have a great reading month planned for July! Ella Minnow Pea sounds like it is the perfect discussion book, though I can see where one can find it as "okay." I would have to be the judge if I ever got around to reading that book. Julia Quinn appeared on The Weakest Link back in the day. I remember her from that and she was writing then, too. I know that I spoke about Remarkably Bright Creatures with someone. Perhaps it was with you. It sounds like such a beautiful, poignant piece. The read the entire Hunger Games trilogy back in 2012. I loved the first book, but did not like Catching Fire or Mockingjay. I did not really like Peeta, but plenty of readers did. I preferred Gale, but felt that Katniss was perfectly okay on her own, despite the fact that she did need a partner to compete with in The Hunger Games. I did not read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, nor am I sure that I plan to do so. Sunrise on the Reaping, the next book, sounds like it is a prequel to the trilogy, but a sequel to Songbirds and Snakes. There is already a film adaptation planned for 2026. It feels like Suzanne Collins is merely boiling the pot, though her background is in television work. Ari from our channel did a video on Nancy Drew and he has said that it is better than The Hardy Boys because of its attention to story rather than the sheer adventure. I have yet to read either, but it is interesting how timeless the series truly is. Thank you for sharing and I hope you have a great reading month in July! -Josh

Anne’s House of Dreams is my favorite in the AOGG series!🥹 Also, I’m so happy you’re finally starting The Hunger Games series!

I’m making my way through the Nancy Drew books as well, I’ve only read the first 2, but can’t wait to get to the rest!
