i just received my HW 80 and am amazed at the performance and quality of the rifle. My only complaint is one of style - I strongly dislike the fore end of the new style stock, and if possible would swap it out for an older version. Otherwise the rifle is a dream come true, as I have always wanted to own a Weihrauch but never had the means to get one.

What should you do with a 7,5 joule HW80 in Germany? Even a HW30 can't give it's full potential.

The new stock looks great, I don't really mind if the breech block is covered or not but I do like this angular look at the front and the part cut away at the back and the laser checkering. Is the new standard HW silencer (as fitted on the scope only rifles) better than the old one? Has anyone tested it? I was surprised to see they changed it.

Hi Airghandi, just wanted to ask you about the german law of limiting the power to 7.5 joules, wouldn't that make producing bigger airguns with "F" limitation pointless? For example, why would you buy the HW80 wich is heavier and have a higher price than the HW30 , when both are super accurate and have superior quality but have the same power output?

Thats right mate! The HW30S is i think one of the best rifles in case of power/weight etc. But we like the other rifles too! So there are especially every Weihrauch rifle in 7.5J. Do we need it? No! Do we want it? Yes :)

    Hello Sir,
May I tell you my story, please? I've yearned for one of the those air rifles from being twelve years old, though was forbidden at home. I'm now 53.
My dearly loved father passed away in 2017, and I purchased a Weihrauch HW80K in 2019. When I purchased my beloved HW80K, I couldn't believe the stock my 80K came with. To me, it was boring and lack lustre and wasn't worthy go and hold any Weihrauch action.
So, with this in mind, I set myself a task. I decided I would make my own gunstock. I have no workshop, I'm educated to secondary school standard only, and would be made with hand tools only, all apart from a router for the action depression. I wanted it to be exciting and make Mr Wehrauch proud. How was I going to do this? My gunstock would be based on predators, not complete carvings, just suggestions.
My gunstock was laminated in Walnut and Ash. It took around three months to make as there was Christmas to contend with, too.
I now have an HW80K stock that is unique to me and very precious. It was completed around twelve months ago, made with hand tools. The laminations for the stock were sawn by hand.
With upmost respect to Mr Weihrauch, I have now the gunstock I always wanted and one I think is worthy to carry a Wehrauch action.
Thank you for my opportunity, and that was my story. Thank you.

      Hello Sir,
I would like you to see pictures of my gunstock build, though I would like you to know my brief and what I set out to achieve. I have pictures of the journey of the build, from drawings, build, mistakes, and completion.
I wanted to show my passion for woodwork and hand tools and show what an ordinary person could achieve through his passion for air rifles, with no particular academic achievements. As a youngster, I was kept away from both. This gunstock was made in my kitchen and backyard on a Black and Decker Workmate. I have no workshop or machinery.
I wanted to make Mr Weirhrauch proud and let him see someone's love of owning one of his air rifles and politely make the gunstock they thought this iconic action was worthy of. My gunstock had to be exciting, so I based it's design on predators. Not carved, carbon copies, just suggestions.
I am not at the forefront of technology, but if you can think of a way, I would be happy for you to see pictures.
      Best wishes, Ian.

@@ianwoods1384 Hi Ian, I did reply a few days ago but it looks like CZcams deleted the post as they often like to do. In the original post I said about uploading the pictures to a thread on a forum. The one I recommended was "airgunforums", this one has a sub section called "projects and build diaries". You will need to add a dot and co and a dot and uk to airgunforums to access the page. If I write the address out, CZcams will delete the message again. Hope that makes sense.

I always disliked the old hw80 stock. And suddenly Weihrauch has made the stock like I wanted to make myself at one time.
As most (the more powerful) Weihrauchs I am can't decide which model I want to buy.
The Hw80 is the most powerful and still accurate: I want it.
But then there is the Hw97, thr hw77 or the hw85 or the Hw95 luxus. Pfff. There all fine airguns. All need new spring seals and top heads tho. I dont know why Weihrauch did not listen to their clientèle. Like 99% of Hw lovers will buy a "tune kit"

You can put an export spring into it. By one from the UK or Netherlands. 7.5 Joules is a joke, for years to come . That instrument is for violent horseplay not for shooting.
