- I been struggling in my seat since I got thick thighs lol... so it raises my eye level a bit. Here is the Back Yard Special seat from www.EvasiveMotorsports.com. It'll lower the seat just enough. Quick install and makes a huge difference.

Looking into a Hardtop... OEM or Mugen? what do you guys think?
oem
Don’t, did this to my Miata and regret it.
So when I got my s2000 I vowed I’d never do it.
Here’s the reasons.
1. If you buy a roadster half the fun is dropping the top.
2. The sounds coming from the hardtop that even bolted down makes an awful noises going around and corner ever.
3. When you’re working on the interior dropping the top makes everything so much easier.
Just… don’t.
@@jacobvanausdeln1696 i see.. all valid reasons. i hate noises in the car and its tight as it is
nothing beats the honda OEM Broseph!!! but its toooo expensive. find a nice one or rep but make sure u install it with the proper seals so it doesnt make noise

I confirm the improvement, comments and observation with this BYS lower rail for a 1,85 m man like and my AP1 Phase 2. I just improved the diver seat (LHD).
Regards
FYI for 2004-2005 you will need to shave the oem bolt head thinner on the back right rail. The BYS rail will hit and prevent seat to go all way back. All these videos show 06+ models which don’t have this issue
That’s interesting- good to know
Which bolt do you mean FBO? The bolt that mounts the rail to the floorpan? I have some BYS rails on the way and if i need to get a new OEM mounting bolt, I'll do so, I have an 05. Thanks for the tip.
Yes the bolt that mounts to floor pan. You need to shave off some of the head of the screw so it doesn’t hit the slider.
Also valid for european '00 models on the driver side (also back right screw driver side)
So frustrating. I'm 1,83m and I loved the OEM seats, except for the high seating position. Now I mounted the BYS rails and noticed that the backrest of the seat stays OEM height - only the bottom of the seat gets lower -> back pain.. the original seat's support was really nice! Now I'm really torn because I prefer the lower height but my back hurts
I drive with a lumbar pillow. It has helped a lot with back pain.
@@jttasb thanks for the advice! Actually I‘ve moved the seat to the front and it‘s fine now.
Is it too with your bys rails that you cannot move the seat as far back as with the oem rails?
Yeah I see that. Lowers the butt area only … I wish the whole thing lowered … Im looking to upgrade the seat
Did you just use the bolt and not the washer and lock nut to bolt the seat belt ?
I believe everything went back on the way it came out.
I'm 6'1" and my problem is the car has too much room, need new seats or I'll damage the interior bracing with my knees at the track.
dam thats rough... I believe Bride has a good line up... Curious.. when driving top down.. does the wind hit the top of your head.. im 5'9 and it bothers me
