There is 1 thing for sure, I have always loved this Ford Lightning pick ups to no end. No mater what the yr was, this county caddy is the bees knees and well worth the price for many yr's.
A buddy of mine had a red one that he modified. Non-negotiable the fastest vehicle I have ever been inside. It was SCARY fast.
A friend had one of these when I was younger, same color too. I remember that thing being pretty rowdy for a full size truck. Thanks for the flashback Nick!

I had a white 2000 Lightning had to sell it to put a roof on my house very sad day I loved that truck more than my wife 😊 but I still have my 94 Lightning with N.O.S. so I'm all good !!!

Took a brand new 95 off the lot for a test drive, while my wife was looking at a mustang. Was a lot of fun.

OHY ! Oh Hell Yea ! I ordered one of these back in 2001 and took it for a test drive before buying … I got back and handed the keys back to the salesman who ordered it for me. It scared me to death! In a good way but still just scary fast.
It also rode like it handled - like a go kart…. Definitely a Track truck… My prediction- this one will be gone in sixty seconds!

I myself have a beautiful 97 Chevy C1500 ext cab and love it! My first ever pick up truck and a very rare view in The Netherlands. But we see modern RAM's, Ford's, Toyota Tundra's etc.

I had a black 2000 I bought brand new and miss that truck badly, and I'm a Chevy guy through and through. It also pulled my heavy boat really well. I took the truck to the Ford Nationals in Columbus, Ohio on a really hot day in 2001. My two buddies each had new Mustangs and coaxed me to go to this event. The truck ran a 13.56 @ 102 on stock Goodyear tires. The fastest Mustang my buddies ran was a 14.2 @ 98. Had I known better at the time, I would've put the tailgate down for the run.

Favorite truck besides my 61 ranchero sweet truck but like extended cab trucks more but could make my own Ford lightning truck I guess would love to see some more ford rancheros but they are hard to find. Have good one
There is a Harley-Davidson edition of this truck with extended cab that came with the 5.4 supercharged Triton V8. Came out in 2003

At 19:38 The Cab and Bed skirts don’t line up at all. Almost a good inch of difference. Any reason why? I own an 87 IROC Z28 so I naturally look for skirts that line up correctly.

Does the supercharger have eaton or ford on it? Early models had eaton until ford wanted to put its name on on. These were m112 eaton made superchargers. 20 years working there. A lot of stores to tell. Good times.
