I work with the guy that sold you the truck. He's happy that it went to someone that really appreciates it.
I think I may have worked on this truck! If itâs the guy I think it is Iâm sure heâs happy to see it immortalized on Hoovieâs page
He's going to sell it after two episodes. The truck was purchased for CZcams content only.

You'll see it sitting unused in the background gathering dust for the next year before he sells it for no reserve on cars & bids.

Was this thing recently on marketplace? I saw a clean lighting like this fairly close to me forsale and it quickly got sold.
Tyler Hoover is the only man that could buy a clean, sorted vehicle that arrived as represented by the seller and seem completely disappointed
Don't worry I'm sure he'll burst the transmission after one too many burnouts.
Thatâs how he makes his money
@@denitipuric1130 yeah I know⊠itâs just odd to see⊠he must have really wanted it seeing how it wonât lend itself to monetization
At what point in the video was he disappointed about the purchase. Just because heâs not going over the top with fake acting and screaming at the camera with fake excitement doesnât mean heâs disappointed. Thats why i watch channels like hoovie. I dont like the over the top social media fakeness.
It's called hooptie PTSD.

Nice to see Vango back on the channel. They do great work.

Yes, Stuart's back! I was worried you guys had a falling out or something.
I've been asking about vango for months and never got a response.
â@@no8lc7c39why detail a car in the winter in Kansas?
We havenât seen Vango for a while, great to see that Tyler is stil giving him business - he deserves it..
When I was 16 my parents offered to buy me a vehicle and asked me what I wanted. I requested an F150 Lightning and my parents knew what an F150 was and went shopping for a vehicle for a teen (me). When the dealership informed them it had a supercharged V8 with a bit too much power, I got a bit of a talkin' to when they were informed what this truck was. Needless to say, I did not get an F150 lightning as a first vehicle.
That dipstick at the dealership should have kept his big trap shut! Way to lose a sale dude!
Sales guy really shot himself in the foot with that one. My guess is his ego didnât like that he couldnât own the nicest truck on their lot, but a 16 year old kid could. Shoulda put his ego aside, a sale is a sale.
@@portermcsorley Sales guy probably saved that kid's life. Some sales aren't worth it.
@@Heffelz8 Seriously, I would probably be dead if I got that truck at 16.
Iâve had ford sales who didnât sell me a new mustang GT at 18, luckily I was paying for my vehicle at the time so I went with a different sales rep

And thatâs a great find on the lightning! Someone really loved that truck!
Same. Thought there was some kind of falling out. Tyler should definitely mention that when there's a long delay.
Happy to see the return of Van Gough!
Yeah what happened to him? He hasn't been featured in a long time!
â@@Jil1A Hoovie didnât need help with detailing.
Happy to see Vango again! Wondered if something had happened and you just weren't taking cars there anymore.
I think it was just winter. And all the muddy construction at the farm. Why bother getting any detailed until at least the weather is good.
The Wizards new truck looks real nice...
Right the wizard gonna have a collection of fords
Would pair nicely with the GT500.
I have a 2003 with 38,000 miles on it that my dad bought new. Fun truck, great engine, inadequate brakes and handling.
You ever selling it?
The handling on these are actually very good for a full size pickup truck from this era. They handle like a big car which isn't easy to accomplish with a factory pickup from the late 90s.
Brakes are great. Maybe somethingâs wrong?
The brakes are in fine shape, they just canât handle serious canyon driving. I donât expect them to perform like my Corvette or Porsches, but the brake fade is excessive.
Yes, Stuart's back!!! We missed him
I had a 2003 as an 18 year old and loved it. Miraculously never got a single speeding ticket despite it being floored constantly. Confirmed it would bury the 140mph speedo with ease. The wind noise was insane at top speed being it was a brick aerodynamically.
Tickets ? These things are insane. Itâs good you didnât wrap it around a pole lol
I'm jealous. My license at 18 didn't allow me to drive a V8. I did get my license late at 17 so wasn't till I was 19 before I could drive one on my Opens. Strange thing is when I got my motorbike license I went straight to Opens, no Probationary required.
@@2DogsVlogs Getting high hp car isnt alwasy best when you have just gotten license, i started with 100hp opel then over 8 years i got slightly faster cars going from 100 to 200 to 300 and then big jump to 770hp/1100nm lol
My dad was a used car dealer from the 80âs through the early 2000âs. One of the coolest things was he didnât own his own car. He normally took one of his more high dollar vehicles off the lot and drove new cars home everyday. He brought this exact truck home one night and it was the coolest thing. It had nitrous and everything. Needless to say we well he got a speeding ticket that night when I told him I wanted to see how fast it was. đ
So, not this this truck EXACTLY.
@@maamrb5 not this is exact truck. Idk it could be though. That was 20 years ago. Who knows where that truck ended up. But it was the same color same year etc
The sound alone is worth the price of admission.
Seeing the kid jump into Hoovies car at the end reminded me of one time at a car dealership I used to work at. I was what they called a Service Porter up on the Service Drive. I was told to jump start a customers Cadillac sedan that had been brought in and was getting ready to remove the cover to the trunk release (electric but had a outside covered key) and discovered the back doors were unlocked, the front were electric. I could just get in the back seat and reach over to pop the drivers door. The ground was wet and I didn't want to have to clean my wet shoe prints off the rear seats so I took off my shoes to avoid making a mess.

Hoovie: âyou like the drive shaft? â
Me: *donât answer*

I saw a super clean 95 Impala SS at the car wash yesterday, im amazed by how many of them are still around, theyâre mostly bullet proof.
Sounds like you have great taste.
This man has TASTE!!! đŻđŻđŻ
Wish there were more Hoovie videos per week!!! So much fun!
I used to build those motors when I worked at Ford. They are good for at least 250,000 miles without a major repair! Great buy for that price! đ
Did those have the issues with spark plugs?
Had the same odometer issue in my 99 mustang. They look like about the same cluster. Takes less than 10 mins to get out. Just some interior to pop out and half a dozen torx screws. Disassemble the cluster back and just take a soldering iron to the odometer pinout. Worked great
This thing was, and always will be, an instant classic! So much love and strong demand for them into forever! My uncle still has his from 1999 and itâs rockin!
A classic only in America.

I love that you are back to your roots. Buying affordable cars. Love the GT500 and now this lightning.
Great video!! I bought a mint condition 2002 SVT Lightning last year. It has 32k miles on the odometer. It's a California truck and I LOVE driving it!!!! It's 100% stock with no mods.
That is esentially 50% off the going for price for that truck. Damn that was a good deal.
Great to see you back at van-go, seems like a great buisness
Perks of being a celeb! Also nice for the seller, knowing this nice piece will be with hoovy and enjoyed by millions on youtube.
I bought a 2002 recently with 57k miles from my grandpa been loving it.

I love that Tylers channel has almost certainly boosted at least four other businesses and CZcams channels. He deserves his success from that alone. Being wealthy is great, but make sure to share it around!

With all of the flash from those movies, I think itâs awesome when you see a lightning with the decal on the side. Such a subtle nod that feels so âiykykâ for such a GIGANTIC franchise

Hoov finally buys a keeper! Nice truck bro.
This is gonna end up in the wizards hands lol
Looks like it has catless midpipes and a bigger heat exchanger.Nice find !
I'd keep this one. This thing will pull $$ like a Viper soon.
My neighbour had a black one for many years. When working in the front yard, I always knew when Jim was coming home because you could hear the supercharger whine (I would then go and help him make the difficult turn, backing his fishing rig into a narrow driveway off a super busy street. He finally sold it (the rwd was not too useful on greasy boat ramps and he did a lot of fishing). The one rusty place I found was the rad support, which I noticed was very bad when I was underneath trying to fix one of the lower fog lights. It was a cool truck and always sat so right.
That noise is epic. You can't beat it. Add in that supercharger whine. Cool stuff.
I sometimes see one of these old Lightnings here in Lara, Victoria, Australia where I live.
The 2 tone van with the fade is my favorite but this truck is amazing nice find!! (I wanna see the van again)
That van is awesome
Van gough does nice work
WOW... time sure does fly! I can't believe he's already 4! Seems like just yesterday you did your first video with him! Still follow your other channel you set up for him. Can't wait to start watching him get as into cars as you are!

Thank the fan that hooked you up this time. Van Gogh can most likely save that Lightening rear bumper, and maybe do rust stop on the other few places, and get it all back 100%! As Always, May God Bless you and yours!
GMC Typhoon says hold my beer!
I bought one a few years ago, 1 owner, Tru- Blue from Texas. Got on the forums, read up on all the things to look for, things to do. Snapped it up, decently modded it...won 20+ shows with it, and it was a solid 600hp show winner/heart stopper/ street killer. Put it up at Gateway Classic cars...sold for over 40k.
My cousin has the 1st generation lightning that her dad gave her when he passed, itâs a beautiful truck looks almost new.
Craving a tuna with out crust.
Dang, you beat me to it.

Bullshit. Nobody likes the tuna here
Thank you Hoovie for the videos they make our days better â€
I loveeee these ! That sound will forever make my heart smile. I knew a customer who had one. He came to my old Dunkinâ Donuts job everyday and the thing had like 160+k miles back in 2010. He was older so Iâm assuming he kept it till he past. I wonder if heâs still around and where that truck went. He kept it soooo clean it looked exactly the same.
Looks pretty good underneath with regard to rust. Those gusset pieces that attach the cab to the rocker panels always rust badly. Hose them out really good--they fill up with mud and small rocks. Then (when dry) spray them with an anti-rust film (inside and out) like Woolwax, Fluidfilm, etc. I did that to mine and it stopped it from rusting any further.
I've still got the 95 lightning that I bought new in 95. đ„°

It's WILD when you look at this truck and then compare it to the newest F150. Vehicles got bigger but that size change is CRAZY

Amazing truck, i was working at ford as a lot porter when a low miles used one came on the lot. Service manager asked me to take it to the tire shop for new tires.....i made sure the old tires were junk by the time i got it there.
Nice to see Vango back on the channel.
I've hit the "like" button a hundred times. Too bad that doesn't count. I absolutely LOVE this truck and always wanted one! Do not sell it!!!!

@@JSFGuy Yes. Very similar to the sound of beef farts
Been watching Barrett Jackson auctions lately, I was surprised to see Hoovie co-hosting , dudes very, very good.
I built my own version due to how expensive the real deal is. I found a nice 04 f-150 2x4 xlt, the paint, interior, and cosmetics are nice. I bought a rolled 2020 f-150 5.0 10spd and put it in the 04, next comes the blower and fuel system. For 20k plus my labor so far itâs been a fun project, but also a lot of work. I have many loose ends to still tie up tho.
Dear Tyler - Don't mud it. Love, everyone.
I worked at a ford dealer in San Diego and got to drive a manual version of one of these. I guess it was made specifically for some rich footballer that played for San Diego. Beast of a car but you could tell the transmission definitely came out of a commercial truck, quite crude and notchy.
Even the mustang had a notchy shifter its a ford
These never came manual from the factory

It's actually pretty easy to scratch the itch for a sports truck today: buy an F150 single cab with a 5.0, throw on a whipple, do a couple basic suspension mods, you're done.
