If you don’t know it seems like the videos you can watch from your hotline menu are longer than the ones you see in game as cutscenes, so you can get a bit more info from them. I’m still pretty early in the game since I’ve been feeling poorly but I ended up rewatching all the videos until you return with the Hotline and remember seeing extra bits that weren’t in game (that or I somehow missed them the first time).

Watching the 2nd episode of your let's play of Control really intrigued me to buy it. And now I'm right after the Hotline and I'm excited, for now I've no idea what's coming my way. Feels a lot like the first Max Payne, the demo of which I played so often before getting my hands on the full game. It was so exciting to play the game for the first time. The voice actor of Max is easily my favorite voice actor, right there with Snake. (I'm really bad with names of actors xD although I used to know at least the guy's name who voiced Snake)
Thank you for the demo experience! And I hope you read the ingame lore, it's hilarious. There also is a whiteboard with quite a long text just before the fight with the floating dude. Was too much for me to read, but maybe I'll travel back and give it another shot.
Still wondering when I'm going to spend these strange points I kept collecting so far....
