Washington DC Adventures

In this video we visit Washington DC! This video was filmed Easter weekend 2024. While the cherry blossom trees had already peaked before we arrived we still got to see some really great views with the trees!
We also explore the Arlington National Cemetery and the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in this video.
And finally we visit the Washington monument. 30 days before your trip you can make reservations to visit the Washington monument. You all know I can reserve individual lightning lanes and virtual queues almost in my sleep…. But this was even harder!! There is a fee of $1/person to book the reservation online for the Washington monument. So we are going to be in Washington DC for 4 days and you can book this 30 days before you are going to be there. So essentially I had 4 tries at trying to get this reservation. I failed the first 3 days. The reservations open up at 10 am EST and each day they were all gone at 10:00 and 20 seconds. I just wasn’t fast enough. Until that 4th day! I read somewhere to do it on a computer and not your phone. So I tried that on the 4th day and got it!! I also selected not the first available time thinking everyone goes for that one.

Wow, have a great time. I was there around 25 years ago. I went to the White House gates, Arlington National Cemetery, and walked up the steps of the Capitol . Be safe! Say hello to President Biden for me .
