My mother lived in house that was haunted when she was a little girl. The rocking chair would start rocking by itself.
We had a poltergeist in two houses we've lived in. The first house, we name it the "Great Void" where things disappeared never to return again. Now, our currant house, the family house, has always had a peaceful feel but not since the day hubby came home from the hospital, for the past 3 months we have the "Destroyer". I'm beginning to think something came home with him. Seriously. He came in and immediately his recliner, the coffee maker broke and a tv remote disappeared and every phone quit so had to buy 3 phones and replaced the wires. A tv remote has disappeared once a week or has caught fire (!) so I'm having to constantly buy more and need more since we're down to one and new batteries just in case. I also bought a fire blanket. Every day something breaks or there's some disaster. This morning, I bought wood glue and dry wall anchors because all the living room curtains are falling down and the bookcase decided to fall apart along with 2 closets and 5 dinning chairs. Had to buy a new dryer because no one could find the problem and the outside vent refuses to stay on, a new vacuum, 2 coffee makers and already had to fix one, lawn mower, a grill, chain saw, bar clamps for all the falling apart furniture, car repair$$$$, bought rock and concrete for a sudden big hole in the yard, replanted garden 2-3 times due to the spring rains but also replanted the inside herbs and still nothing inside, both bathtub faucets and this morning both toilets aren't flushing right so need them looked at and the septic pumped, 2 candy thermometers (how do 2 thermometers break the same week?), electric stuff and internet services keep going out, a communication cable came down in the yard and had an electrican here for 3 days. A guy is coming to look at the roof because a limb fell on it and it is leaking, the gate keeps falling over no matter how many times it is fixed and the concrete fence corners and porch stairs have broken at the same time and the brand new garage door fell down. Oh, add a table leg, the porch fan blade and the kitchen counter is separating from the wall, etc. And the furbabies were afraid to come in at night so...
I'd rather have the "Great Void" rather than this dangerous "Destroyer" thing. Yeah, yeah, a bunch of nutty woo-woo but this is too much to be the normal run of things. I bought some incense and did a sage smudge cleansing yesterday! May repeat it a few times. Enough is enough.

Locked dumpsters here, too. Checked the reduced section this morning and they don't reduce but a few cents so I only picked up two breads and regretted getting those.

🚨🚨🚨🚨 Save you some money!!!! After cutting down everything on your sidewalk, pick a time when the weather will be hot and sunny for a couple of days and spray the area with vinegar, white vinegar. Just be careful not to spray it near any area you want to grow anything. You might have to apply the vinegar a couple of times, but once the area is cleared, it should stay cleared until next spring. Saves you time, labor and money!

In the uk our coleslaw recipe is normally cabbage grated carrot and onion and mayo. I add lemon juice to mine . Never tried a sweet version I'll have to try it. I was so impressed when the macaroons made it home , then at the end... 🤣 🙈 lol.
Our favorite is similar. Shredded cabbage, 1 grated carrot, onion powder mixed in with mayo, vinegar and a teaspoon of sugar, salt and pepper.

I make cole slaw dressing with mayo or Miracle Whip, salt, black pepper, a little sugar, a little lemon juice, and maybe a little apple cider vinegar. Stir really well. It is pretty yummy. Do you ever steam cabbage, then cook it down in a skillet till tender, add seasonings and butter? It is a Southern thing, really good. Nancy from Arkansas

It’s about 101 today in Central Valley of California and will be only down to 94 for the next week or so. Hottest is 106-107. I feel for you though cause a little of places in that part of the country don’t have central ac. When I lived in Ohio I was so surprised by that (from California originally). Hope it cools down for you all soon❤❤

I made freezer slaw today with a huge head of cabbage, large bell pepper and 3 shredded carrots. Dressing of 2 c of sugar and 1 c of 5% vinegar heated until sugar dissolves. Cool and add to slaw. Freeze in 2 c portions. Keeps about 3-6 months.
Bacon and cabbage stir fry. Yum

you can also add finely diced celery to change up your coleslaw.
