    1. KMOL News 4 Promo
    2. Taco Bell Sizzlin' Bacon Menu
    3. 1-800-FLOWERS Holiday Flower Tree
    4. Motrin IB
    5. Motrin IB
    6. A Tuna Christmas
    7. Season's Greetings From NBC

    9. Sega Saturn
    10. Promo for "Mad About You" and "Hope & Gloria"
    11. Promo for "Saturday Night Live" (This was in that weird transitional period between the cast of the early 90's leaving and the cast of the late 90's arriving. I honestly couldn't stand these two characters)
    12. Sprite
    13. Aramis
    14. TV Spot for "Balto" (IMO it's criminal to use the iconic theme from "The Land Before Time" to advertise another movie)
    15. "Friends" Commercial Bumper
    16. Promo for "Eye of the Stalker: A Moment of Truth Movie"
    17. Circuit City (The CGI teeth at 5:25 are terrifying)
    18. Garth Brooks "Fresh Horses" (We want Chris Gaines!)
    19. Texas Ford Dealers

    21. AT&T

    25. Aleve
    26. Promo for "Single Guy" and "Seinfeld"
    27. Kmart (With Rosie O'Donnell and Penny Marshall. I don't often like to use the word "cringe" but yeah, it applies here)
    28. TV Spot for "Sudden Death"
    29. Campbell's Chunky Soup
    30. "Cinderella" on VHS
    31. Promo for "Wings", "NewsRadio", "Frasier" and "The John Larroquette Show"
    32. TV Spot for "Dracula, Dead and Loving It"
    33. Charlie by Revlon (With Karen Duffy)
    34. Gillette Sensor Excel Razor
    35. Aleve (Sorry for dupe)
    36. Lexus
    37. Star Wars Trilogy on VHS (Promoting the last release of the original theatrical versions before George Lucas ruined them)
    38. Norelco Maverick
    39. MCI
    40. "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie" on VHS (RIP Jason David Frank)
    41. Puzz 3D (I think I had one of these that was fairly small)
    42. Promo for "Seinfeld"
    43. The More You Know PSA (With Tatyana Ali)
    44. "The Single Guy" End Credits (Featuring Jonathan Silverman talking about "It's A Wonderful Life". The swimming pool that he's talking about is still at Beverly Hills High School)

Taco Bell Sizzlin Bacon Menu- Nice animation of the bacon cheeseburger transforming into a burrito.
Circuit City- I have a feeling that this commercial, especially the man in this commercial, are heavily inspired by the movie, "The Mask", starring Jim Carrey.

Goldeneye and Cutthroat Island. There’s a double feature for you. Both did get video game adaptations…One is kind of remembered more than the other.

I have memories of seeing both Goldeneye and Cutthroat Island in the theater back then so I may have very well gone to that matinee with my mom when I was 11 in late ‘95 or early ‘96. I can’t imagine we’d see Cutthroat Island by itself unless it were part of a double feature.

On the Saturday Nite Live promo, one of the cast members is David Koechner, who had a short run on the show only lasting that year. You might recognize him as Champ Kind from Anchorman and Todd Packer from The Office. On the Campbells soup commercial, the black actor is Steve Harris you might recognize him from Law & Order or from The Practice. He was in Tyler Perry’s Diary of a Mad Black Women.

3:23 - When the Saturn launched in the US in May of 95, it was $400, which is how much I paid. They sure did drop the price fast to compete with Sony, considering this was 7 months later.

@@oakT800 Sadly, no. I mainly used my Saturn for import games, since so many great games were left in Japan, and it was an easy console to play imports on. I used my PlayStation for US games (mainly RPGs and Survival Horror), and my Saturn for imports. Wish I had held onto it, since some of the games I used to have for it like the English version of Magic Knight Rayearth are now worth a lot on the collector’s market.

5:24 - Clearly they were inspired by The Mask with this commercial, but it just ends up disturbing.

Taco Bell was my childhood. The odds they'll bring back those bacon burritos (at THAT price) are low!

    • @80sCommercialVault
      @80sCommercialVault  Před rokem +3

That price was based on the value of the US dollar in 1995. 99 cents back then is equal to about $2 today after adjusting for inflation over 27 years.

Station note: In 2002, KMOL reverted to its original WOAI call letters after being reunited with WOAI radio (the call change had taken place in 1974 due to FCC rules at the time banning TV and radio stations in the same market but different owners from sharing the same call letters)

The only time Freddie was played by the kid from Fudge on Frasier. I liked the "Hey Daphne" kid far better (I have yet to see the reboot).
