Nice to see someone taking the time to make a nice repair job
Just carried out a similar repair on my 93 Peugeot Boxer Motorhome, it was more straight forward to remove the centre bracket from the glass support rail and use a piece of 15mm copper pipe. Cut the pipe to the same length as the original support then slice along it with a metal cutting disk. Spread the cut open along the full length to create a gap just wider than the glass itself. Mark drill and rivet the original bracket back onto the copper channel. I cleaned up the original rubber insert and fitted it back inside the cut pipe. Then just bolt back in. The copper will never rot and doesn’t need paint either.
That sounds like a good way of doing it.
Great work 😀
Sorry my keyboard keeps missing letters under Win 8.1

a bloody grand job Mr :)
Thanks, doing my best to keep it going on a tight budget.
Brand new stainless steel ones are available from a company called Costal Motorhomes around 35 pounds although you have made a great job in reconditioning the original one there
Thanks, that’s really useful to know. I hope to do some more work on my camper next winter.

Very good job Sean, just wondered what thickness of fuel pipe you used? Did you glue the window to the pipe? What kind of glue did you use? Yes my window caddys are rotten as well! All the best
I think the overall thickness was about 10mm. I used black Tiger seal, it works well with glass. Good luck with yours.
Hello
Great job no new parts, i like to give it all a coat of grease to preserve mine.
Definitely worth keeping them greased.
Hello I am needing the parts similar to that you had donated to you?
ebay is probably the best place to find parts
