I’ve seen a pump leak into a harness once a few years ago. Never did figure out why but guessed that an internal seal in the pump was the culprit but never confirmed. Replaced the pump and it was fine.
capillary action? I know from my work that cables, when they break in the ground, sometimes absorb water that comes to electrical connection points, for example
Not exactly the same but some VWs had a coolant sensor that could fail internally and allow coolant to wick up the sensor wiring into the main wiring harness and eventually the ECU. Good stuff.
I have seen a lot of oil pressure sensors lead and push oil in to a harness and have seen a few washer pumps leak in to the harness. I think dodge had a tsb for the washer fluid level letting fluid wick in to the harness around 2008. I have not seen a fuel pump leak in to the harness but it doesn’t surprise me.
@@snedenwerks thank you. I have not checked the relay yet. This is my second time having an intermittent no fuel pressure issue. First time I thought it was from the fuel level being too low. This time the tank is full. Thanks for the reply.
Double check your sock clearance to the tank make sure it enough room and it’s not plugging itself up. I’ve had that before. Intermittent fuel pressure issues.
Deutsch connector is too small... Rated for 15 amps odd problem though
Did you contact Walbro about this issue? I'm curious to know what they say about it.
Maybe the Deluxe is related to Christine……? 😮
😂😂
The Chinese Christine, LOL!

Such a nice car, great work !

Did you make it to the Metro cruise?
Yeah, Saturday evening
Glad you did not find any fire. 👍

Having an issue with my 525 from tanks inc right now. All the sudden no fuel pressure. Wondering if it’s doing the same thing.
Mine ultimately ended up being the relay not making a complete connection and shorting out my pump. Good luck with yours.
