war thunder how to fly how to play corsair f4u f4u1 f4u-1 f4u1d f4u-1d hit and run hit-and-run hnr energy fighting air rb realistic battles war thunder tutorial - Hry
Me, a newbie trying to use this tactics got a 6-0 kill strike on a match using a p51, being outnumbered 3 to 1. Thank you so much for this.
You taught my dad this so well, he accidentally used it in real life
lol 😂
Thank you so much Renta! You said you were going to do a video on HnR and you delivered! These videos are very helpful, thank you again!
These tutorials are amazingly done. Perfectly explaining what you're doing and your thinking at every step. Super happy I found this channel.
First match I've survived in this thing in ARB because I was watching this as I played. Epic. Got like 4k research. Had fun. 10/10 liked and subbed.
Shame so low subs, more people need to see these fighter school vids
And he delivers in less than two days! Thanks for the video, really instructive
would love to see some early jet gameplay from you
I love how simple the doctrine is. Does it drain lots of energy? Don’t do it. Can’t wait to try it out and make the MiG-3-15 BK actually useful.
exactly the MiG 3-15 BK, that plane doesnt turn but its engine is amazing and it goes fast and it climbs fast, i have a weird obsession to use that plane to its fullest, i like BnZ with it but HnR might actually be more useful
The most useful War thunder video i've came across
heh, its so wired and interesting in the same way, seeing myself flying in this match, but from Your perspective :D Pure fun, anyway! I wish someone would setup enemys for free/easy kills as I do most of the times lol ;) its just random players did not use it, because of lack of situational awerness. At least You utilize my baiting enemys to helicopter up or follow me in vertical ;)
Yay, needed this
Хорошо летает. Молодец.
This is so different from how I've been thinking about playing the game, maybe I'll have more success in my f4u-4b now
hello . thank to the video , i learn a lot . i m a beginner in war thunder and i use a mouse . do you think a joystick will be better and wich one are a good one ? is Thrustmaster T-16000M FCS Hotas a good one ? good night
Joystick is better for simulator mode, mouse and keyboard is better for arcade and realistic modes.
I rarely use a joystick, so I can't tell you much about your choice of equipment.
I dont like using point aim in this game and I feel like it just screws me on dogfights
Just wondering, Do you use Manual Engine Control?
Im thought not, at least have the guts to answer
CZcams didn't alert me about your comment, but luckily, I spotted it just now.
No, I do not use MEC. It's partially because I don't consider it worth the hassle.
WAIT, they changed the .50cal's tracer colors??? How long have I not flown an American aircraft!?
no they're still red, only appear white for a second after the bullet leaves the gun, you can see it really well at 4:48
@@rjgamer2206 huh, that's weird...
So im a pretty new pilit and either im just to dumb to get it or its more complicated then i tgought, so what exactly is the diffrence between bnz and hnr?
BnZ is about gaining the altitude advantage and using it to out-energy your opponent.
HnR is about gaining the speed advantage and using it to out-energy your opponent.
@@Renta352 ah ok i see thx.
@@Renta352 Hi renta, what should i do in mustang p51c10? I'm trying to learn hit n run but how to deal with e.g me109F4? They climb better so they can convert alt to speed (catch up to me) and with better turn they render me useless
@@madmat1652 The P-51 is all-around superior to the Bf.109 at speeds above 500 km/h IAS. So, your focus should be on airspeed, not altitude.
Bf.109 above you? Keep your distance and use your speed to head away from them, forcing them to fight more drag to catch you.
In a Turn-and-Burn with a Bf.109? Try to stay a bit below them at all times, and don't get lured into any sharp vertical movements.
Of course, if the Bf.109 zoom climbs, just... leave. They've given up their speed; they're temporarily out of the fight.
Edit: More P-51 footage will be coming, to show you what I'm talking about.
@@madmat1652 I had the same issue. The P-51c should be incredible powerful for the BR but the problem was that I never had any altitude to engage targets. I could only run away or be on the defensive.
Didn’t really help that after being passive for 5-7 min my team was usually dead and I just had my balls drained from getting swarmed.
How the hell does diving induce more unwanted drag? I’ve never seen this in any research I’ve ever done and never heard anyone talk about this before… you need to explain this.
Diving is simply being used as a means to increase airspeed, and thus increase the force of kinetic friction with the air (a.k.a. parasite drag).
@@Renta352 but how is that a bad thing? Ie: "smart stuka"
@@robertbrulc8435 In a vacuum, an object could fall a certain distance, bounce off of the ground, and rise back up to nearly its original height. Its energy state would remain mostly constant.
With a rocket engine on it, this vacuum object could bounce back above its original height, as the engine provides even more energy than it started with.
But in atmosphere, air resistance pushes back on an object, siphoning away energy through friction. The faster it goes and the more drag it faces, the more energy is stolen.
This is why, after diving on the smart Stuka, my reclimb didn't reach the altitude from which I started my dive, even though my engine was on.
Had it been a short dive at low speed, say, a 300m dive at up to 300km/h, the Corsair could've easily zoomed back up to or above its starting height.
But at high IAS, the air was constantly draining my energy, and the longer I stayed at high speed the more I lost. The Stuka cheated me out of nearly a kilometer's worth of energy, leaving me vulnerable to their Messerschmitt teammates.
More speed=more drag
Plus more drag at lower altitudes because the air gets more dense
How do you use the F4u
The Corsair is a Hit-and-Runner that performs best at high altitude. It has a great roll rate, and is competent at low-speed Turn-and-Burn using flaps. Good armament, ammo load, and ordinance to boot. Climb speed 275-285km/h IAS.
How do you know which planes are good for hit and run?
Hit-and-Run favors aircraft that hold onto their momentum. That means planes that are fast, low-drag (for their size), and heavy.
As Renta says, planes with low drag are the best for HnR, a normie way to know can be, if the plane have a clean (not sleek) fuselage normally says that have a good energy retention capability, examples are the 190’s A models , P-47’s, P-51’s, Corsairs…
Pretty much the entire American tree after the biplanes
If it doesn’t climb well, it’s probably a fat American plane. Once it starts rolling you’ll never catch it 😂
is targeting distance 400m ok?
Sure. But keep in mind that beyond twice your convergence range, your bullets will be spread even farther apart than the guns are placed on your aircraft. 400m convergence will work so long as you don't intend to shoot from beyond 800m away.
Sorry, I'm dumb, I failing to see the difference between this and Boom and Zoom.
BnZ is based on gaining the altitude advantage; you win because you accelerate more. It favors light aircraft that easily change their energy state.
HnR is based on maintaining the speed advantage; you win because you decelerate less. It favors heavy aircraft that are reluctant to change their energy state.
even i play war thunder and have a yt channle, can we collabe
How so? Do you want to feature in one of my videos?
