@@LetsTalkVilla there is a reason he was at Luton last season, and that's because he's found his level there, he was comfortable. Not necessarily technically but certainly emotionally and mentally. In my opinion. Horses for courses

Yes, snap him up! He is an excellent player and though he underperformed for Villa last time, he was brilliant for Luton and would be a great squad addition.

Tbh on his day he can be an amazing player and if he continues his form he's had for Luton for villa, with unai's guidance it could be a decent addition, but he was very inconsistent for us last time, but if anyone can help up his level it unai, so I take back my previous comment, would probably be a decent addition in all fairness
Maybe for free as a fringe squad player, could be okay, but we need to get some real world class talent to be competitive next season

There's no going back to him but I'd sell that peacock Luiz and bring in ndidi to replace him we also need defenders who can defend conceedong 61 goals in the league is shocking I'm not one of those who thinks uni is some kind of god and thinks monchie is the answer either.
There’s noooo way you’d want Ndidi over Luiz surely! We have been shaky at the back that’s for sure, something I’m sure Unai will be looking to sort out this summer! But we still got top 4 and need to do two things this summer now…
1. Strengthen with CL quality players
2. Bolster the squad too

Id take him for squad depth. We cant afford to improve positions AND bulk up, so decent free transfers even if they are not upgrades on what we have, will be necessary.

@@outofthetrash5925 I try to keep an open mind. If we can bulk up with free transfers, then spend big on one or two upgrades i think that will do us well. I heard theres ianacho (however you spell it, Ndidi? either of those are probably ok for squad depth. Knowing our luck. we will bulk up then get no injuries and have a bunch of players moaning about lack of game time lol

They are both available from Leicester, but Barkley much better atm, injuries and tired legs nearly killed our season this year, I don’t get how people think this could be bad!

@@grahamwade4023 Now is the time to sell him. Emery and Monchi probably have 5 players ready to go off his sale and can do what Dougie does. It's a no brainer for me. Plus sell Chambers, Dendonker, Traore for what you can and possible Ramsey and they will have the funds to bypass FFP and restock the team for champions. I say sell possibly Carlos as well.

I would love it if we sign him he just suits Emery ball and when Dougie's a bit inconsistent like he is currently we need someone to keep him on his toes. Big man Ross does it for me

@@petersmith2522 He's not just stuck on the wage bill he was being touted for the England squad. He's been superb this season and would fit in a Emery's system.

No, not for me and who in their right mind is saying Barkley would've been in with a shout of being picked for the Euros. If he was any good Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, Manure, Spurs etc would be showing interest. I understand we need depth and I'm all for that but not Barkley.

He was terrible when he played for us last time and did nothing to convince me that he was worth keeping, also I don't buy into the narrative that he'll be a good squad player. Olsen is a squad player but we all know that we'd rather have Martinez in goal.
