Just as a side note if someone has the same problem. I used "adaptive" interpolation on the splines and when I applied the material it wasn't working. It randomised sections of the splines and not each spline a different colour. So if you are having similar problems just change it back to "optimize"
Fabien thank you for the tutorial. I have a few questions. Things run extremely slow on my system even tho it's fairly powerful. (thread ripper and rtx3090) what are your system specs? you seem to move around this simulation with ease. Also My spline explosion had a really random shape and looks nothing like the Phoenix explosion shape.
