Watch this video. It will show you the best way to add in film grain!
It looks like that video isn't available anymore, where can I find it? :)) Awesome tutorial by the way!
@@AnsonSavage Sorry about that, all fixed up. Cheers for letting me know
I've been searching all over the internet for a clear, concise explanation of how to do this. So many videos don't show you steps you can actually follow and they talk so darn fast you can't follow them.... Definitely subscribing to your channel .... thanks for the great video
Ahhh cheers mate, appreciate it. 👍
Great video! the Australian accent makes this tutorial even more interesting
Ha, cheers mate
I'd never seen the method of dragging a mediain node to set it as the tracking source. I swear there are a hundred ways to do everything in Resolve. This is my new favorite.
I know what you mean, resolve is a complex machine that I still confused by.
This saved me 1hr of my time. Thank you🎉
Glad I could help buddy
Amazing video, super useful and easy to do for everyone using the free Davinci Resolve version :) Thank you!
No worries buddy, thx for watching and commenting
I'm totally new to Fusion and this was so helpful. Thanks a lot.
Glad it helped mate, cheers for watching and commenting
highly recommend this! Not only does it help but it opens a way bigger door!
Yeah it's really good
Great tutorial. Simple and super clear. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback and watching. Se aprecia
Informative and concise. Very helpful video. Thank you very much!
Cheers for watching and commenting. Appreciated mate
Great💖
Cheers
Thank you so much! This is the best explanation on the web!
Cheers mate, appreciate the viewing and comment 🤟
@@GreenGoatProductions if the “touch up spot” moves around the frame, and changes size how would you do it? Again thank you so much!🏆🏆🏆
Frame by frame would probably work best.
Thanks, I was just thinking about this!
It's like our minds are connected. No worries buddy
Excellent explanation. I will add, if you're removing more than one object per clip, create a separate paint node for each item.
That's a really good point. Thanks for that and thanks for watching
legend thanks man
Cheers mate
I subbed for that one, thanks! 👌
🤌
Good job!!
Cheers
very well done, I like the tracker's explaination :))
Cheers mate, much appreciated. Good comment.
Thanks for great clear explanation. Please do one on object removal using the magic mask, I have not seen a direct clear one like yours is. Also I can't find a simple explanation of alpha channels, a bit confusing .Thanks!
Hey, Cheers for the nice comments. Fusion is quite difficult and something I'm still trying to get better at. I'll look into your suggestion though and try and make a video soon. Cheers for watching.
Nice video very concise and easy to understand even to a newbie. Can i ask i am using paint to clean up a street sign but cars come by and that gets light reflected onto the sign and reveals where i have been removing graffiti is there anything i can do about this? do i need to track my strokes? also i have a few other clips with cables and people walk into the scene again do i just need to track this or is this more of a indepth process? from your pomme friend lol
I only really know the basics in fusion. But I would say, track it and then if that track gets messed up. Do a frame by frame adjustment. Casey Faris on CZcams has great videos on fusion if you wanna get all the good stuff. Cheers for the comment
_Nice topic and explanation!_
Thanks mate, much appreciated. Next video is going to be about my favourite thing in resolve
@@GreenGoatProductions *Sounds great* , _I am a new sub, keep up the creativity!_
Thx for the sun and kind words
thank you soooo much! Why the paint node is so difficult to work with? Like what if i wanted to do a tracking with surface tracking... i couldn't do it.
I think it's ok, but I agree it can be a little tricky. You can track using it, it's a later video I'll show you how. Thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated. Have a great weekend
Thanks for the sweet video. Every time I go to start tracking, the object that was just removed appears the next frame over. Any ideas?
Howdy, is your object moving in the image or is it still?
Hey there! Thank you for the great tutorial. When apply the tracker to the Paint Grup, the tracker does not aapear over the paint strokes but in the center of the frame. The paint strokes only are there for theat single frame vanish on the other frames. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I'm on Resolve 18.5, when I do the strokes they appear as a Multistroke rather than many single strokes. Any help so much appreciated!
Sorry I'm currently away until Monday, but when I get back to the office I'll be able to help. Sorry once again
That. would be awesome. I'll try to solve the issue myself in the meantime and let you if I succeded@@GreenGoatProductions
I thin i found it, I was on multistroke instead of stroke
Ahh that's makes sense. Nice work
@@rusch_meyer thanks this helped me too
How are you showing the images in fusion? Good Video by the way.
On the nodes, theres a little square. Tick that. And cheers mate for the kind words
Why do the patches continue to the next clip when i do it?
As in they affect the next clip in your timeline ? That's really strange. You're not copying grades or other things onto it are? They could all be lumped together
when i beginn the tracking it tracks just somewere else In a completely different clip in my project ... wtf
In a different clip? that is so bizarre. I'd just delete that fusion and start again. Make sure you are over the right spot in your timeline before jumping into fusion.
@@GreenGoatProductions I deleted and startet again and the same problem appeared. It also began to track in the same different clip:/.
@@GreenGoatProductions Oh waiiit ... could It be that I must disable adjustmentclips wich lays over my footage?
This is a very strange problem, but yeah give that a try. It may be doing both clips if your overlay is over all. Still strange though
@@GreenGoatProductions btw... can I somehow change the position of the tracker? I film beetle and want to remove sensor dust from the footage. It makes more sense when the tracker tracks the background instead of the beetle in the middle of the image.
Is this for the free version or the studio version?
It's not the free version , but I'm pretty sure you can do it in the free version.
@@GreenGoatProductions It doesn't. Like all other videos talking about this, it needs the paid studio version. You might want to mention this (the version you're using) next time to save people time. 😄
Ahhh sorry mate , it's hard to tell which is free and not sometimes. I'll try to make it clear next time. Cheers for the comment
It only covers one frame then my paint strokes disappear after tracking process...does anyone know why?
Do you have a moving subject? Maybe the object is moving away? Or are you using the wrong stroke ? Pnt is the shortcut you put in for fusion
@@GreenGoatProductions Thanks a mill for the response, you got it sorted for me!! I was using paint bucket thing instead of clone brush. I don't know why there's a difference when it comes to the tracking - but anyway! Thanks so much!
Great to hear mate, always to help out. Have a good one
Thanks for your video, bro!
However, I did this on my clip, it just doesn't work. Just like doing nothing no the clip.
I'd checked the video and my steps, nothing missed.
Sorry to hear that, some people have said they've chosen the wrong brush, so maybe give that a check and let me know.
@@GreenGoatProductions Thanks for your tips. I didn't remember which step was wrong, and I retried once more today, everything's right. Thanks very much for your video and reply
@@eviluessfansy9644 glad to hear it mate. Don't worry, we all do it
@@GreenGoatProductions Hey Bro, do you know how to make a 3D "mark" effect? Such as a 3D text object taken out from another 3D rock object, with its text mark remained on the surface of the rock, like its "bevel". Thanks in advance.
Sorry mate, I don't. My fusion is quite limited. Try Cassey Faris, his amazing at fusion
grain runs straight not on a 45`

After Effects does this much better.
It really does, but the subscription fee... Cheers for watching 🤟
