Have you considered visiting the French Riviera in winter? We can really recommend it: it's less crowded, the air is beautifully clear, the sun shines a lot... The aristocrats back in the day knew exactly why they would come explicitly in the winter! Let us know what your favorite season is down here in the South of France!
@@AC-yt3we we‘re certain you‘ll love it! Enjoy! 😊
@@rivierago Thank you for the lovely video. I am planning to visit France during last 2 weeks of December. Are the shops and restuarnts mostly closed and secluded? Please suggest what places can be visited

Nice is nice .
I am good your welcome i like your vidéos 👍🏻🥰
Recently discovered your channel and love it. I just googled winter in Cote D'azur and your answered all my questions. We live in Canada so this looks like a wonderful winter escape. How is the weather in November? Very dark and windy here.
Hi Colleen! Yes, the Côte d’Azur is a great winter escape! In November it usually rains some, sometimes heavy and for a week in a row, but then the sun will be back. And temperatures are nice, when the sun’s out during the day you can sit outside with no jacket on. In 20 years we haven’t seen an all grey November here, one of the reasons we’ve escaped Germany 😉. And on the plus side also: it’s not as dark as further north in Europe in winter - while that’s a shame in summer (gets dark at 9, so kind of early), in the winter it doesn’t get dark until 6 or so.
👍👍👍
Thank you for the video! Would you recommend visiting Nice on November or January, regarding weather?
Tough question!! 😅 We would choose January probably - but you’ll need a bit of luck in winter: right now it’s raining cats and dogs; this often happens for a few days in Nov and February… But it could also happen in Dec or January (even March or April, obviously). It just never stays grey for weeks in a row like further north
Hi... nice vlog..we are planning for New Year in Cannes near Nice..cld u tell us will the shops n restaurants will b closed as off seasons??
Hi! No, most places are open all year in Cannes (well, shops might be closed on January 1st). Enjoy! 😊
I lived in Nice 40 plus years ago. It is beautiful in the winter but not swimming. You can easily sit on the beach. It is much quieter in the winter
Hi Soraya, yeah, you‘re right: it‘s too cold for swimming 😅 - but many locals do it on the regular. Just takes some courage and getting used to 😉
I plan to live in Nice or Cannes for a month (nov/dec) - do you have any thoughts on which city to prefer to rent a flat? Cannes vs nice? Thank you!
Hi, thanks for asking! Anja would say: Nice, Aila prefers Cannes. Both cities are great, Nice is probably more lively in winter, Cannes gets pretty quiet. We’d say you can’t go wrong with either place - maybe decide depending on where you find a better flat!
@@rivierago Thank you so much for your fast answer 6 month ago!
I decided to go to Golfe Juan - between Nice and Cannes - in nov + dec 23 - it was awesome :)
Visiting both cities a few times I would prefer Nice today. But that's just personal taste...
How is the french Riviera in mid November? We'll be staying in monaco for 4 days
Hi, it can be nice and sunny and then up to 20 degrees C around noon, but chilly at night. But it might also rain and be a little cooler. Less stable, but generally nice enough 😅
@@rivierago thank you. do you think it's still worth visiting? Do you know when Christmas decorations will be on ? And lastly is parking the same price all year round ? I'm planning on hiring a car - thanks for your time and great content xx
What month was this filmed in and what was the temperature?
Hi! I think it must have been January. In winter, when the sun is shining, at noon and in the early afternoon temperatures can reach 20 degrees Celsius. At least it’s warm enough to sit outside in the sun. Mornings and evenings are much cooler, of course.
Is mid February ok to visit?
Yes! It might also rain for a few days in February, but most of the time it’s sunny, and temperatures from 11 AM to 4 PM are around 20 degrees Celsius (when there’s sun!).
So yes, great time, you just need a little bit of luck weather wise.
Hi how are you 🙋🏻♀️👍🏻
Thanks for watching! Doing great 😊
Great job 👍.
Thank you! More to come… 😊
👍👍👍

Hi, thanks for asking! A sweet little hotel we happen to know is Villa Rivoli, but we can also suggest checking out the Airbnbs in the Old Town. Might get a little loud at night, but there’s cute places and you’re right in the heart of everything! 😄
Thank you much 😊
