Why would you carelessly generalize something like GMO as a something to be scared of? Most of what we eat are genetically modified in one way or another (whether through selective breeding or through in vitrio modifications) which has allowed us to feed millions who otherwise would have nothing to eat or prevent crop failures during times of pestilence. You do not eat the same berries your hunter gatherer ancestors did, what they ate were much smaller, sourer, and perhaps had more undesireable aftertatstes that are a manifestations of higher concentrations of tanins. Almost all of the modern strains of rice crops are genetically modified in some way or another, through this, scientists have find ways to make varieties that produce more essential vitamins like vitamin A, be flood resistant, or are capable of producing bio pesticides.

    • @coin5207
      @coin5207 Před 2 lety +2

GMO is not selectiv breeding! There is a *big* difference between selective breeding and the actual genetic engineering in a lab she is probably talking about here.
When you intruduce a plant that has been genetically engineered to an ecosystem you never know what the long term effects of it on the environment are gonna be like. Yes there is great potential in the industry to help feed large communities who might be impoverished or might have a shortage of nutrient rich food. But like with everything (including trying to add more vitamins, or using "bio" pesticides) there's both upsides and downsides. E.g. with Bt crops the pests can develop a resistance against the "natural" toxin and come back even stronger, the spread of the plant can get out of control, it could harm other insects such as bees etc etc.

    @lamdo3003 Před 2 lety

Basically you can't cook with protein powder if everyone want their protein tastes like Milk.
Especially depends on that protein come from meat or something else? Nuts have protein too.
So if you could cook them together you will have space foods for everyone instead of milkshakes for gymers.
So why it's so hard for the whole society to do that?
Why are they chucking food out wasting it everyday?
Why are there poverty and hungers out there when keeping food and keeping over farmed products are so simple?
    Because of the industries.
Everything need to put a price tag on it.
    That's why.
Any type of insect that eatable can turn into powder for protein any type of vegetables can turn into powders for tastes. But are those dry power will still acting the same when it fresh? You don't know.
You only know that if you are taking too much protein shake. Your body will be full of pimples.
    What I mean?
I mean everyone could think of turning foods into powders. But are they acting the same? Or are you the test tube right now?
You don't know. Even science don't know yet. They all need at least hundreds to thousands of years of evidences. Same with anything else in that book of science.
So if you are telling me. Eating powders foods and vitamins from plants extraction will be the same with eating them fresh. I hope you will think twice before telling me that protein powders is good. Nor anything else your societies created unnaturally.
Wait well yeah, even Arnold is promoting "powder foods". Who proved that his diets was wrong back in the old days? Himself? Yup.
Will he be able to prove it one more time with food powders?
    No.
    Why?
    Take too long.
Just like, humans dreams about living in space. But non of them actually can spend the whole life in space yet.
What body shape do you think human would be like if born in space without gravity? I don't know. Lolz.
Your Americans minds are too much and too complicated. Especially those "Intelligent Society". Lolz
Who will be able to prove that those cancer problems out there are not from foods and products you took?
    No one.
Because if they could prove it.
Many industries will go down. Including medicines. Lolz
I laughed so much and so hard at your world in my minds too. 🤣
Too have medicines you need Machinery and ingredients.
I'm 100% sure those scientists never care about how those facilities and suppliers created to provide them stuffs for their studies and creations.
    So that's why.
    All of you.
From rich to poor. Keep on destroying this planet for "the Cure in everything".
    A circle of destructions
    Anyways. Lolz enjoy 😉
    Good freaking luck. 👏
I'm kinda of sick of the society that good at use athletes and body builders for food advertising because even those healthy looking people also have problems. And? No one really care. They only look at the images on the products and buy it without a brain. It calls brainwashed societies.
When you start to see this world as a company or a lab. You start to see those industries purposes. And how cheap human life is Compare to those industries. Simply because human are already free to them. Lolz. You don't need to do anything. The populations still growing.
Don't trust me? Look at how much diseases found in the poorest continent Africa. And how much medication had been pump into this society for re-sell and tests.
