There's a quest you can stumble upon in Fallout 4 that reveals what cram is really made of.
Later in the game you will receive access to the music of Radio Freedom. The next to last episode of the show has a cute and funny reference to it.

Absolutely no spoilers in fallout 4 for the show. Same vice versa. Its just the same world and concept of survival.
While the game is a looooad of fun i do highly suggest modding it. If youre in pc or xbox the mods are very extensive. On playstation not so much but still some good ones.
For example on xbox and pc atomic raido adds songs from the other games and some lore accurate ads. Things like darker nights make night travel scarier and you can download skins for dogmeat to make them a poodle or whatever. I also HIGHLY suggest True Storms. It adds gorgeous storms to the game and really amps up the ambience.

Fallout 4 is good, but if you like the world id reccomend new vegas. It's by far the best written of the 3d games. It's a bit old but not too bad to look at.
