I agree. At 67 just had a fall on holiday and broken my shoulder. I enjoy Domeniques videos each week especially body skin routines which are even more beneficial than usual being incapacitated at mo, I am using Espa products: skin polish, after shower dry serum and Clarins moisturising lotion. Make me feel so much better😊

I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one having issues getting foundation to cover smoothly as I age (I turn 57 in July). Your paint on a textured wall analogy was spot on, and I agree with you that a beauty sponge does a better job than a brush with coverage on skin with larger pores.

I have been watching you for several years. I'm under 50 and your content is absolutely relevant to all she groups and encourage women of all ages to watch. Under 50 may not need to apply some of your content immediately, but it is an amazing way to learn to become prepared. Ironically, thanks to your videos, I became smart to menapause and went to the doctor because I felt off. I found out that I was in full menapause and "skipped" Pre menapause! Your videos educated me by introducing me to Dr. Susan, learning the right questions to ask and trusted resources and I'm so grateful. Ladies of all ages, I reiterate how uninformed Dr's are to women's health. My Dr. was so uncomfortable with my informed questions, she referred me to another! It is imperative you become your own advocate. I don't have a Dr Susan where I live and could not afford her if I did. Our health insurance doesn't cover her service which is another issue all unto itself. For consideration, I encourage Dominique to slightly change her intro to encourage women of all ages vice 50 and older because I have benefited so much from you! ❤
hi Dominique, I am a solo travel expert and have travelled 17 years non stop and am teaching women 40+ how to do the same. Love dry brushing. I used to have ingrown hairs and couldn't figure out how to fix it. Been a problem for 25 years. Recently I exfoliated religiously everyday and the other day I shaved and NO ingrown hairs appeared. AWESOME. Now i can wear shorts during summer.

At 61 your beauty and skin care videos are a positive influence which speaks to many women. Dry brushing is new to me, so I will try it, especially since I also began self tanning this month. The brush vs beauty sponge for pore coverage is spot on. And the Revlon lash curler is also something I will try, now that my lashes have grown and are healthy. Thank you for the self-care recommendations.

While I still wear false eye lashes on occasion, I find that if I don’t have a good curl to start with, my false lashes don’t adhere the way I like them to. My regular curler just isn’t doing the job it used to do so I am excited to try this one! Thank you for your time. It is recognized & appreciated ❤

Thank you so much for the tip on the sponge!! I have a beauty blender one but don't use much with Estee Lauder Futurist Foundation as my fingers usually do ok. But at times being on the Retin -A prescription strength I am noticing exactly what you are saying. The brush doesn't work so well on days I try the brush. It's like dry spots or not sticking to others. Crazy!!! Now I know why. I will order one of those type sponges and hope it make life easier getting out the door. Thanks for your sweet guidance for me and the rest of us reading this. We would be lost without your good advice!! You are a treasure!

After watching your videos, you bring such a light that whatever I have going on in my head seems to fade away. You just have this soothing way about you and it really calms me. I think I mentioned this under another video, but I would love for you to do a video on a look that you never tried before. Maybe something that is not typically in your nature. Just curious what that would be! I was bold and blessed recently and I'm looking forward to another chapter in my life that will fulfill a side of me that has lied dormant! Cheers!

A few years ago I began using a foundation brush....the last year I have noticed I may need to change. I went back to sponges too!! Thanks for sharing Dominique!!
I've always used a sponge instead of a foundation brush. Perhaps that was because I used to seem to be painting the interior of my home all the time and I was quite good at it. Brush just for edging and roller for all the rest to get a proper finish. So her analogy is quite fitting.
My takeaway from this video isn't a tool, but a technique. I'm 64 and only started using skincare and makeup during COVID (I finally had enough time at home to figure it out - LOL). Everything I know about it I've learned from CZcams. Good brushes made a HUGE difference in my eyeshadow blending. I typically don't weat any foundation (my skin was pretty good to start and has only gotten better) but when I did, I always had "speckles" on my face. I've tried a variety of brushes and techniques (special preps, swirling, stippling, etc) but with no luck. This explanation about why a sponge works makes total sense! My daughter's wedding is later this year, and I'll definitely need to wear something for the photos. Thank you SO much!!!! ♥️♥️♥️

You always manage to keep us informed on the latest and greatest! You really nailed it with the beauty blender explanation…I have started having issues for the reasons you mentioned, using a brush for makeup application. Will be trying the beauty blender next along with the Revlon eyelash curler.

I turned 60 this year and I swear I just realized makeup is just not enough anymore! Started using Seint Demi to use less via color correcting. Have you ever demo's Seint? Your opinion on this would be super helpful.

I get a manicure every 2 weeks using acrylic with gel polish. It would be great if you could do a video with a dermatologist discussing how safe UV curing lights are as it relates to gel manicures😊
Ironically I was watching a BBC's news item only this morning, I'm based in the UK. It was referring to the increase in people reacting to these gels with horrible dermatology conditions, not just on the nails and nail bed but other parts of the body. A lot of the gels are unregulated and that's the issue. Do your research seemed to be the order of the day.
