Hi Dominque, as I Professional Spray Tan Artist I Loved this video and your suggestions. I can not spray tan myself easily, I usually am in my back yard with my tent trying to be a contortionist to get all the areas.
I have tried several of these products and I love the mousse brands the best. I also recommend the same tanning drops for the face as spraying sometimes comes out spotty if someone squints or scrunch up their nose. I can blend it out but spray solution is different and gets into the skin fast and the solution is drying to the skin. The drops with the moisturizer is wonderful and if you are someone who is older and have dry and/or wrinkled or sagging a little in some area’s the drops are a blessing. You don’t have to have a perfect 20 year old body to show some skin and your video was great for all of us over 45 to still have that glow safely without hrs in the damaging sun. Thanks for sharing 😉

Well, I'm a dark-skinned sista, and what's really beautiful about this video is I feel "complimented" seeing that others want to look more like me! In my younger days, my skin color was regarded as undesirable by my own race and other races. I support women doing whatever they like if it makes them feel confident and pretty, so enjoy your new self-tanned look!

The dynamic and gorgeous Diahann Carrol played Julia, a hard working nurse and single mom. I use all of these products as well quick tan by Body drench is actually my favorite along with the spray by b.tan. I find that the sprays absorb into my skin where the mousse is a little too water-based and my skin can only absorb so much so I always have to do two or more layers. If you let yourself to air dry for roughly 5 minutes between the spray ones you can actually give yourself a pretty nice dark tan. I find that quick tan actually does stay whatever color you spray on your body fairly well and within an hour or so. My trick since I do use all of the same products and I mean all moose included, is to get a continuous spray bottle and mix all of them together in one spray bottle. That way you have the 11-day formula from b.tan mixed with the instant bronzing from body drench etc. I also apply with just regular latex gloves and rub it in versus using a mitt I feel the mit absorbs too much of the color. I do use a mitt to apply it to my back I just have to do two or three more layers to get it to the same darkness as when I just rubbed it into my skin with a latex gloves. Trust the process with the latex gloves but I do end up using less product and get a darker result

I should definitely do this! When I was young, I did not tan evenly and considering that I have light, Irish skin that I got from my father, I burn easily. These products definitely appear to be better than the instant tanning product that was available to us when I was a teenager! It was called QT which stood for Quick Tan, and it stank to high Heaven! And if you didn’t immediately wash this stuff off of your hands, they would be a nasty shade of blotchy orange, especially in the creases!

You will still get the hands if you don’t (immefiately) get it off them. Ive not had a mitt and used my hands. Washed them when i was done with soap but still turned orange since my hands were dry. I guess the time it took to cover my body was just too long and it stuck! I like to use rubber gloves. Ive had a few mitts leak the tanner through to my hands- lol.

Great tutorial and love that you showed several brands! One thing i rarely hear people mention is its best to do tanner at night, sleep, rinse in am. Wearing it during day risk sweating it off in weird ways, clothes transfer, and smell (even though risk for smell & transfer is lower than in past- it still happens). I sleep with very light weight thin long sleeve tshirt and long light pant so nothing gets on my bedding.
Good lesson for getting back. They also sell reachers for back with foam on it for putting on lotion to your back- but love your idea even better!

    Dominique 🧡
I adore you and I know you don’t mind my extra skin love. I tell my clients to be very mindful of applying any self tanners to your face.
A good selfless tanner will work with your melanin naturally. If it does it will actually make Melasma and age spots darker. If you use one that simply stains it will do the same. We also see break outs and issues with fungal activity. Stick to the body. Try to use a powder bronzer on the face or just love your natural color.
Also DHA use to be more chemically derived, so yes use a natural or organic formula and read the label. As women we don’t need any more chemicals on or in our bodies.

I love the b.tan self tanner. I am Hispanic and fair skinned but I do tan easily in the sun. However, now in my 50’s I’m seeing sun spots and freckles appearing on my skin and I know it’s from my many years of sun exposure (hate to say with no protection). So as of a few years ago, I started using self tanners and b.tan is one that really shows up well even on my olive skin tone, and gives me a great tanned glow. Great demonstration by the way. Love your videos.

Love you & your channel Dominique! I’ve tried all the self tanners. I love my self Tanner when I first put it on & even the 2nd day but….. the 3nd day my hands begin to look rusty no matter what Tanner I use! Light age spots/dark spots pop up looking extra dark which looks so bad.
Also, I don’t understand how the self Tanner lasts iF we are taking a shower as when I shower & rub soap over my body, the Tanner washes off! Of course I’m glad it does when my hands & fingers are looking rusty & dirty. I love a nice tan glow as I am light skin tone. We all look our best with a nice glow!
I’m going to go exactly by your instruction Dominique & see if it will help my glow! Thank you for all your advice, ideas, & hacks!
    I love you & I’m a big fan! Sending you love hugs & prayer!!♥️🤗🤗🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you so much, Dominique! What a blessing for our skin that self-tanners have come such a long way. Silly question: When you’re spraying on your body, isn’t there an issue with everything around you (bathroom tiles, furniture, etc.) also getting sprayed and „tanned“?

Thank you for putting out an updated 'tan in a can'. I believe we all look healthier with a sun kissed look & this is a safe way to achieve the look .. I'm so fair that I can literally get a little 'pink' if the paperboy doesn't hit the porch and I have to walk out to the driveway!! :) I've thought about using a self-tanner but there are so many out there and I recall my 80's or 90's fail - I don't think we had mitts back then, or if we did, I missed the memo. As always, thank you for taking the guess work out of it all and for sharing your beauty secrets. You are a true gem.

What a great tip for getting products on our backs by ourselves! FYI in the morning, I started out using the Jergens Natural Glow SPF 20 on my face and the Jergens Natural Glow Firming daily moisturizer on my body before I went on an 8-day trip to Maui. My skin was ready for all the time I spent in the sun and outdoors in the water. I also used Banana Boat Light as Air 50+ in the morning and I was good to go and did not need to reapply. I came back home a golden brown and did not sunburn the entire trip! I've got my summer glow on and know I'm going to deal with the rest of the summer now. Thank you Dominique for all of your wonderful tips and tricks for keeping us our best selves.

Here’s a tip, I use a large makeup brush to apply tanner it goes on wonderful. Amazon has the large brushes if interested. I couldn’t keep those large mats in my hands and out of desperation I had a new makeup brush and started using it. I was in awe of how well it went on and worked. This was 12 yrs ago and I still use the same brush. I wash it and dry then use again. Try a brush! Another video for you! 😃. My first comment but I watch you all the time.
