there is one episode in season 1 or 2 where they have to stop the villain from attacking them so that they can form voltron, but i haven't seen the later seasons

I would like to correct a few things about Voltron, First his original name from Japan was GO LION, However when he was brought to the us he was named Voltron. Second, it's very common for people to Display Voltron toys with the Green lion on the right arm Red lion on the left and Yellow lion on the Right leg and Blue lion on the left leg. This is Wrong and it did Appear a few times that way in the 80s Animated cartoon but it was just an Animation flaw. And thirdly Voltron in the cartoon had lotsof white for example, his thighs elbows,and face. He was supposed to look metalic but just like the toys are with Chrome lions legs chrome or metalic faces and elbows. The reason why Voltron was painted white is because there wasn't any metalic paint for animating back in the 80s. His sword, Spear, and star cutter was also white again, Because there was no metalic paint for Animators to usei n the 80s. And for the Record, Voltron Came way before the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
80's cartoon were a bit tougher back in the day. In Voltron they got sold into slavery, forced to fight to the death, the girl get's pimped out, and Sven has PTSD, and that's just the first episode.

I don't recall most of the "boarding" scene, but I do recall them hanging onto the zipline thing and putting their keys in. Fun memories! To this day, Voltron is one of the coolest action figures from that era. I had one of the early models of the toys and played with it until I wore out the joints.
Hope to have a remake of this as a movie just like transformers..missed my old days..😢

I am considering on doing some of these ideas and others, however I’m sort of having software issues with getting the audio ready for the video such as taking the original ost from the beginning English voice clips since getting them raw are damn near impossible so I do them my self. And there are other factors that stop me from making these sort of videos such as classes, a big project I’m considering on starting for this channel, and mainly laziness. But I will attempt to try the ideas you have provided once I have my software issues settled.

Watching again these are nostalgic. Those cats must have 9 lives lol. As an adult, so many questions and perspective now. why park the lions so far away. Putting in corrosive environment. The contractor that have to cover the black lion to become statue again has a continuous business.

Such as being a taxi cab driver, NASCAR race track usher, school principal, school superintendent, student activity director, school counselor, school secretary, college professor, college chancellor, garden plant nursery center caretaker, public librarian, art critic, sporting goods store clerk, sports event coach, grocery store clerk, automobile insurance agent, bank teller, gas station attendant, marine biologist, amusement park ride operator, public shopping mall clothier store clerk, fast food butler, TV commercial actor. Since Pidge was once a chef in one of the Voltron episodes. Prince Lotor wasn't a thing like Cobra Commander whom has mentioned about America's economy in G.I.Joe. The planet Aries isn't governed by a president like America is. I can tell just how different the cartoon series is. 🏫

Well, in the source material, Sven's Japanese counterparts Takashi and Ryou both died in GoLion but in Voltron, they were merged as Sven by WEP and had to follow the GoLion source material of course. BTW the disco/funk music from GoLion meshes well with Voltron's footage.

@@digitaladventurer2142 Yep. For example, Nanny aka Hys was inserted in some scenes following her GoLion death. Plus, Raid of the Red Berets omitted the Red Berets slicing and goring the humans and the Deadly Flowers omitting the flower deaths in the Japanese original source material.

Voltes V - Let's Volt In is still the best anime. It was made in 1977 way back before Voltron. It was the pattern of Voltron.

@@onacsareibaj7566 yeah..but only us and them. Though voltron is mostly popular in the US only, thats why american production was the one who remade it lately. The only significant super robot in Japan is the Mazinger Z. Combattler V was ok, but Mazinger was the one that the japanese really loved. The rest are just soso. The great thing with japan is that they have a lots of shows for kids , they also have manga and anime, kids from way back have a lot of things to watch, so its hard for them to have an iconic character that they put up in some pedestal and have sentimental value with like filipinos do with Voltes V, or americans do wuth Voltron. They just have a lot of quality products that its hard for them to choose..
But the main mecha series or product from japan is definetly GUNDAM.

I took the original Japanese episode and took the audio file from it which I then put it through a site which took out the dialogue from the audio leaving only the music since I’m pretty sure the original Japanese ost doesn’t exist or it is hard to find. I did the same process with the subbed version but in reverse only getting the dialogue from the English version.

If I had to choose between saying yet another Voltron series or a redub of Beast King GoLion, I’d choose the latter.
Well too bad for an anime purist like you. I mean, I prefer Voltron over GoLion and Dairugger XV just like I prefer Battle of the Planets and Star Blazers over Gatchaman and Yamato.
I’m not a purist, per se. I just know that Hollywood hacks like Kevin Smith will ruin whatever they touch. And yeah, another reboot of Voltron is just going to fail.

Anyone notice when they went down the chutes it showed the Princess and not Sven/Shiro?
They planned Shirogane to die since the beginning. And because it was a cheap anime to produce due to the heavy abuse of stock footage for the dock inside the cockpit, gattai and GoLion activating the JuuOuKen scenes, they foresaw the happenings and did just the cut with Princess Fala descending the chutes instead of doing one with Shirogane and being forced to redraw the frames.

This just works out. I don't get why WEP thought they needed to have new music for Voltron when they could just used the music from Golion.
I enjoy the music from GoLion as well as Voltron. WEP had to replace the music, for sure, because it sounded "too disco," at a time when disco in the USA was on life support.
love Golion but intro the Voltron is epic! glad they replaced that. now if we are talking music of Macross vs. Robotech then it's a different story.
@@danielcrean3010 Yep because new wave and pop as well as hip hop/rap and Hi-NRG had replaced disco as the "it" music in the mainstream at the time somewhere in the '80s.
Someone should send this to NBCUniversal/Comcast and DreamWorks. I mean, who knows? They might use the GoLion music to dub over the Voltron music in future DVD and streaming releases although the Voltron music was EPIC.
BTW as far as your comment is concerned, I agree although WEP had to replace the GoLion music with the epic Voltron music that we all know and love because it's too disco-esque. In short, WEP probably don't want to turn Voltron into another Japanese show that was Americanized by retaining an outdated '70s style music - like Battle of the Planets (formerly Japan's Gatchaman) did when it's Japanese music from it's Japanese source material was featured in some scenes in addition to the epic Americanized music by Hoyt Curtin (R.I.P.) during it's 1978-1980 run on U.S. television - that's why they changed the music by omitting the disco/funk/soul music from GoLion and replacing it with the iconic Voltron music from the '80s that we know and love today.
Maybe this decade could open a new opportunity for an uncut dub for Beast King GoLion to actually happen. But they shouldn’t be cheap about it by hiring ONLY anime VAs. And with the music score and sound remastered.
