Rhodesia was a short-lived nation (Nowadays Zimbabwe) that existed between 1965 and 1979, a nation where the White minority ruled and the native majority was excluded, a country that had great economic and military success thanks to the economic actions of the government. The anthem Voices of Rhodesia was adopted in 1974, the lyrics were made by Mary Bloom and the melody by Ludwig van Beethoven.

I had the privilege of once working with an old timer who was a veteran of the RLI. Fantastic soldier who, even in advanced age (for the job), was incredibly skilled and professional. My respect to him and all others who fought for this great nation. Courageous people, splendid land.

The loss of Rhodesia was the greatest loss of all Africa. Had they left her alone, she could have lifted all nations round her, and would have eventually empowered the black Africans in a sustainable and dignified way.

Maybe if Rhodesia was still around today, who knows? I do know though, that Rhodesians would've always backed the underdog, like Israel, Ulster etc. But it would've also backed other countries in a similar position to which it was in during the 70s, such as Bosnia, Croatia, Armenia and Syria. Probably Ukraine as well.
