I grew up a wrestling fan from 2003-2014. To see Cody Rhodes get his own segment not only on ESPN but first take is amazing

It's still wild seeing WWE superstars on the ESPN platform. I remember being a kid during the height of the Attitude Era and WCW wars and never in my life did I think ESPN would acknowledge pro wrestling. Pretty awesome to see.
its only few short interviews a year, and only because of the ufc merger. but its still considered a low brow entertainment. you wont see a wrestling time-slot on espn.

Vince needed to go. Knowing that he’s gone is probably drawing more fans back to the product, just out of mere curiosity to see how different things are.

I’m 33, haven’t watched WWE in 20 years, but the Rock is my all time fav-Crazy how life works, cool to see Rhodes hit his stride so many years in given his pedigree/father
He is right. It’s not easy being a good guy when all the cool points tend to go to the bad guys. But the fans stuck with them and a lot of the ones who were on the fence joined his side when his match was taken away from him temporarily. He has to win.
And since then guess what? Those fans have been cheering the rock

I’m impressed with how Cody conducts himself. He conducts himself like he knows he is supposed to be there, like he’s done it before. Right now he has an aura of success.
The lie he continues to tell makes him a heel to me. We already know Rock was set to face Roman We already know from Punk himself he was set to face Seth. Cody put a face on to his fans after agreeing to let the matches long planned go on. He then Made fans believe The Rock stole his match. That's dirty and that's a heel.
Even after it was shown The Rock was planned ahead of Rumble and Cody was not the one planned he still on here lying.
Not good for a so called Babyface and it's a heel move story wise when you lie and disrespect your boss like that

Cody Rhodes is the definition of an underdog. Having a middling career in WWE in the early 2010s and seeing where he is now, it is genuinely inspiring. The fact that Cody Rhodes is in the ring with the Rock! The irony is not lost on me that this WM is in Philadelphia. Cody really channeling Rocky.

The tragedy is that Cody was a great in ring performer but WWE just failed to give him the edge he needed you know like the look and what could put him over like his in ring work has always been top notch it was just everything else so it was awesome how he left and help start AEW and just thrived there and got to do what he wanted and look how great it worked he’s been back in the WWE and he’s just continued his rampage dude is riding the lightning right now 🤌

Cody toes the line of real and kayfabe so perfectly. These segments on first take can often be a little cringe with wrestlers but he doesn’t feel out of place at all.

Been a Cody Rhodes fan since his bad guy dashing persona way back and with DiBiase kid in tag team. Always loved the bad guy persona for entertainment value, but good to see he proved his point of being top shelf talent and those clowns at WWE finally recognized that Rhodes is Top Shelf.
