To make this for yourself you will need**:
    ♡ 100g/3½oz/½ cup unsalted butter
♡ 165g/5⅘oz/¾ cup soft brown sugar
    ♡ 150g/5⅓oz/1⅓ cup plain flour
    ♡ 1 tsp. vanilla extract amzn.to/1UlL1y9
    ♡ 2 tbsp. milk
♡ 200g/7oz/1 cup chocolate chips- mixture of milk and white
♡ 200g/7oz/1 cup dark chocolate for dipping
    ♡ 1-2 tbsp. vegetable oil
    ♡ White candy melts amzn.to/1pAZMAE
    ♡ Black Candy Melts amzn.to/1pAZSs3
    Equipment you will need:
    ♡ Mixer
    ♡ Sieve
    ♡ Spatula
    ♡ Mixing bowl
    ♡ Cake pop sticks amzn.to/1R82zbm
    ♡ Piping bag & nozzle
    Method:
    1. To make the cookie dough, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the vanilla extract and mix again. Then sift in the flour and mix with a wooden spoon just to combine and avoid making a mess. Then add the milk and mix again. Finally fold in the chocolate chips and chill the mixture for 20 minutes.
    2. Then mold the cookie dough into small cones and chill for 30 minutes. Dip the cake pop sticks in the candy melts and push into the cone. Next roll out the cookie dough into a long shape and wrap around the cone into a swirl shape, neatening it up as you go and then chill for 1 hour.
    3. Next add the vegetable oil to the melted chocolate and mix well. Dip the pops in and twist to coat. Once coated, continue twisting to allow the excess to drip off evenly and then chill until set.
    4. Use candy melts to pipe on the eyes and mouth and leave to set in the fridge. These pops are best served chilled straight out of the fridge.

**Whilst there are no eggs in this recipe, there is a slight risk of eating raw flour due to it potentially containing pathogens (bacteria). However only a handful of people have (or may have) become ill from consuming raw flour. Therefore please consume the cookie dough at your own risk. Alternatively, you could substitute flour for oatmeal, pulsing the oats in a food processor until it resembles flour. However, you would then need to alter the method slightly, as raw oats need to be 'activated'; this can be achieved by soaking the oats and in this case you could use the milk from the original recipe. I would suggest you cream the butter and sugar together as normal and add the vanilla. Then in a separate bowl soak the oatmeal in the milk for several minutes. Then add the flour to the butter and sugar, followed lastly by the chocolate chips. You may need to add more milk than the original recipe calls for. Again, everyday there is a new health scare and it seems like anything you consume carries potential risks. Somehow, I don't think this will stop me from eating raw cookie dough- YOLO.
