I love my Eastman E20ss/v-sb . Everything about it is right. Firestripe pickguard, so vintage. I can’t find or afford a vintage Gibson. This thing is a cannon. It continues to open up and bloom. Handmade gem. A keeper, It makes me want to play and have fun. Eastman is for real. Ironic name “east man” . If your thinking of getting one, do it you won’t regret it!
One of the nicest looking guitars I have ever seen. Thanks for the demonstration. You guys are the best.
Of course! Thank you so much for watching.
The beauty is in the eye of the beholder . I love those guitars . The beauty & the beauty. Greetings from Europe , Estonia.
Great review, and thanks for the sound samples. Beautiful guitars.
Thanks for watching!
I didn't know Jason Kelce was so into guitars!!
☑️ recently acquired E20OOSS\V-SB is possibly the most open articulate rich and balanced tone guitar i have had in forty years collecting and personally trying over sixty acoustics ; i can realistically chuck all my other guitars and be satisfied with this model for life ; i don't have aggressive strum style , but this model shines under light to moderate fingerstyle ‼️👍😊
I love the slot headed headstocks. I have three 12 fret slot heads.
Absolutely love these guitars ! Not a huge fan of the fake "elbow rub" thing but everything else is tastefully done imho. If I didn't already have a E20SS that I love I would have jumped on one of these. Go Eastman !
I agree - the 'elbow rub' is the only thing that ruins it for me but I'd probably still buy one. One of the best buys in the market
Sounding good❤
For almost the same price you can buy a Martin or Gibson that will raise in value over the years... For a long time that was my opinion. Man I was wrong. This is a superb guitar (I own a E20SS/v). I owned a lot of high end guitars and if I had to pick one , it would be this one.
Do you think there is a difference in sound between the wee one and the conventional e20 00 ss standard finish? Thanks.
I sure would like to have one of these slope shoulder guitars. I will probably be the next one.
Saving to get me a e20 OO SS
Thought NAMM meant Not Available Maybe May? Love the E20SS-V-sb! AND the Eastman E40 OM TC from you folks! I already have a fiddle so I am aware about the varnish and have violin varnish polish. The vintage finish is "light" and not obtrusive. Thanks Jeremy and John! PS the fretboard is varnished also.
Well said! Thanks for watching!
I want the advanced jumbo style eastman so badly now.
We have a couple in store right now😉
These both sound awesome! What mics are you using to record the sound clips?
These were recorded with Audio Technica AT4041's, we have been using Ear Turmpet Labs Mics recently!
Great guitars. They look amazing too. I never understood the need to write a useless negative comment.
Thanks for watching Nick, I loved the Red House Improve BTW.
@@AcousticShoppe Thanks lol
Nothing to understand Nick, people write what they feel.
I don’t see the need to be critical of freedom of expression just because you don’t like it.
Dear John & folks, I just looked and didn't see these on your website. Maybe I'm blind. Oh, yes I'm legally blind since birth, but I can hear. I don't like slotted peg heads because I can't see to thread the bare strings in the barrel hole. My understanding is the E20ss v has an Adirondack top...sounds like a great guitar to post at the retirement community where I play 3x a week (or more). Questions: 1 do you know if Eastman will come out with a 000 in this series? My wounded fretting hand needs that short scale. 2 Since "00" is a Martin reference, would this "00" be more like a Gibson LG-00 or LG-2? Thanks. I know I'm months late in responding
EASTMAN: Please spec wider necks on the Slope Shoulder models!
Try a few out as though spec says narrow neck my E20 00 ss/v has a wide neck, and the other one in the store ditto, so you may find they did a batch with wider necks.
I agree. These are very nice sounding and playing instruments.
If they would make the E10ssv & E1000sv with that headstock inlay & diamond fretboard inlays I would be all over it. Please do that Eastman.
Is the E10ss getting the same makeover?
Dale Erlewine has a video on "Patching a Big Hole in a ’53 Telecaster." Near the end of the video he shows how to simulate cracks in the finish for even more authenticity. I think these new Eastman guitars would benefit from that treatment.
Any idea if there will be a tone tite version of these?
There are no plans for one.
Ok i see the bubbles on the finish in the vicinity of the arm rest area. I guess that is standard with these models
I love my e10 ss d I actually like it more than my Martin d18
i like L 00 size model
Still no 1.75" nut?
Correct, it is supposed to be like a Gibson - 1 11/16''
Gibson nut width is 1 46/64 between 1 11/16 and 1 3/4 if I know this why don’t you?
@@bernie320 I tried the oo version not to long ago and compared it to another 1 11/16 nut guitar. The Eastman seemed slightly wider to me so maybe the real specs are the ones you mention?
Damn
In a good way we hope!
@@AcousticShoppe in a way as ”picking it up tomorrow”
Surprised you didn't mention the "authentic vintage-style" saddle on the E20SS. I bought one on Craigslist. Beautiful guitar. Sounded amazing for its size. But I'd never seen that saddle before and assumed you could just pop it out to adjust the action (and the seller didn't mention it). I set up my own guitars, both electric and acoustic. I put the guitar back on Craigslist when I realized I'd need to pay a luthier (and leave it for a month) for what is usually such an easy, simple adjustment.
It's no where a Taylor or a Martin but I would consider buying one for taking on cookouts and outside playing.
These seemed to have run out quickly lol.
We still have some available😄
I bought one from a reputable texas guitar shop. The good side is the fact that it plays and sounds like heaven. The bad side is the mared, streaked, marked up finish. The bass side lower bout is all bubbled, like it was burned or something. If it was my buisness i would have never let it out the door.
No need to shout.
All talk and no music and you shout. It gets really wearing after while.
Sorry guys. Talk less and play more.
Love this guitar but that’s the ugliest pick guard they could have used😳
Thats just one ugly guitar. And why the hell would you want fake wear marks? Thats just dumb. Like buying ripped up jeans. SMH. EARN YOUR WEAR MARKS!!!!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
