Jaxon's concern for his mother when she cried melted my heart
ikr. that was so cute 😢
jaxon and his mom have a fantastic relationship and you can tell in all of these videos where they are together.
He’s such a good kid🥺
@@turtlenecksok yeah, his mom is so great, and he is such a great behaving kid and well taught
Ik
I've been sober 2 years now. And 15 years suicide survivor. Your story matters.
Viking Paracord NC congratulations!!!!!!
I’m so proud of you!!!!
God bless you. there's hope for us. stay strong. you can do it. You're not alone.
So proud of you! God bless you dear
I'm proud of you too , I do not know what it's like , Yeah your stories do matter because if you can tell a story to save a life , it is worth it
Viking Paracord NC congrats 🎊
I loved how Jackson directly went for the hug.
so did i, and so did the recipient. the realest moment of the episode.
I'm so glad they had a recovery alcoholic on. So many people don't look at alcoholism as a drug addiction but it is and a very real problem.
alcohol is absolutely a drug. a drug is a drug is a drug.
Drinking alcohol for me? Starts the idea to do drugs. I want to stop also.
@@OGCrick go to any 12 step meeting and they literally say it over and over alcohol is a drug. it's classified as a depressant and it absolutely is a drug.
@@doublefeature fair enough. Looked it up and alcohol is a drug. My bad i guess I just think of drugs as like heroin or physical pills
@@doublefeature in the UK alcohol is a big thing that basically everyone does, and lots of it so I guess its just accepted as normal rather than an addiction and people don't respect it enough as an addiction. I now see how it can be an addiction so respect to anyone who struggles with it
That's a huge topic that people should share a lot more.
We couldn't agree more. It's so important to talk about! - Sierra (FBE Producer)
The people critiquing their stories are plain rude. Part of being an addict is doing the unpredictable, unexpected and generally bad things that you do when feeding your addiction. No need for critique.
Basically i thought it was just me. They seemed so rude it disgusted me.
I thought the same...mostly the Asian mother and daughter.
Exactly!
@@jaecooper5737 YES, when the women who WAS an alcoholic said that her turning point was when she got her 4th DUI and then younger girl said it should have been the first one i got so mad because at least she had a turning point and isn't still addicted, she turned her life around so be happy about that and stop criticizing people for their past.
Very insensitive in my opinion. Don't judge anything even though you might not understand it. I thought Jayka, especially, the Asian Filipino girl, was really judgemental.
“There’s no shame in struggling”
4 years clean. It's been one hell of a journey but so well worth it
Ohshitethatsright Channel congrats! 👏🏼
congrats!!!! proud of u :D
so proud of you!
so proud of you!
so proud of you!
I have a friend who was a year and 2 months sober and slipped up. She was nervous to tell me but she did. Don't tear down a person in recovery. Relapse is a part of the recovery. She knew she screwed up and is back on track. I'm proud of her strength to be honest.
100%
That’s all that matters. I had about 20 months when I relapsed. I wish I didn’t but I learned from and now I got 138 days. As long as you learn from it and get back on your journey of recovery that’s the only thing, the only thing, that matters. I’m proud of your friend too.
@@timcyron5205 I hope you're still doing well xxx
@@lolly5657 I actually celebrated 3 years clean and sober about a week ago. Thank you for checking in :) I hope all is well on your end too
@@timcyron5205 that's amazing congratulations. So happy for you.
It was really sweet when jaxon asked his mom if she was okay
Jaxson is so sweet! Hugs a total stranger, asks his mom if she’s ok. ❤️
Great video i started smoking weed and drinking at age 12. By 14 had tried pills and by 16 was doing meth coke and heroin on occassion it slowly became a habbit(mainly meth heroin on occassion) I came from a addictted family twisting the dope pipe for my mother. Became homeless and in and out of jail and prison serving 2 years in total by age 23 along with 2 overdoses and almost bleeding out in and incident. In my prison cell on my mothers bday i asked god for a second chance and i would do whatever it took. The next day i was told i would be realeased in 3 months 9 months early and if i would like to be released to a program i accepted. Since then i have gotten my first legal job reconnected with family graduated high school taken college courses and am 14 months sober. Addiction is real but so is recovery. Thank you for reading
Proud of you!

I’m proud of you and so happy for you. :)
Congratulations so proud of you and I know it's gonna be alrigggggghht
Rooting for you and proud of you for choosing recovery. ❤️
Thank you for telling us your story I hope you have a great life 💓
This really touched me because I'm a recovering addict. I am 3 almost 4 years sober. It took me overdosing and almost dying at a friend's party for me to get help and get clean. This was a good episode and I will definitely be sharing it.
Idk you. But I am proud of you❤️
Just remember the next 4 years are the hardest 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Mariah Jefferson Thank you for sharing a bit of your story with us. I truly wish you the best with your ongoing recovery and as you journey forward in life 💜.
Mariah Jefferson that is wonderful! I'm so proud of you!
Thank you for sharing and even though I'm a complete stranger that this may not mean anything to you i just wanna say am proud and happy for you keep on fighting
When Jayka's mom talked about her brother, that just broke my heart (edit: wow I was not expecting all these likes)
Addiction is a disease. It doesn’t always matter what you came from or who you are. It can affect every person and I don’t understand why we don’t treat it that way.
the way jaxon is with his mom is soo adorable, love them
Jaxon is such a pure soul.
His parents made an amazing job raising him
@@theaa4108 ikr
Absolutely adore him 🥺🥰
Aww Jackson and his mom. He looked at her with so much compassion. See 16:00.
- Mom, are you ok?
Anna Tairova that’s when I cried.
When Jaykas mom started talking about her brother I lost it
I love how Jaxon went straight in for a hug when he met the survivor ❤️
When the mom was talking about losing her brother, I just lost it. I could feel the pain her and her daughter went though.
Jaxon is just such a good kid! You can tell what a good relationship he has with his mom and it’s beautiful! ❤️
Someone said "Just stop, it's really that easy."
I- 💀no it's not.
they just dont know thats all
When Jaxon hugged that man, ugh g bless him
That was so pure
Jaxon asking his Mum if she's okay omg my heart 😭
Aww. Jaxon went right in for the hug! So cute!
And when he said you alright mom 😭
Recovery for 17 years. I'm 37. Sober for 14
patrick perry congrats 🙌🏼
Stay strong bud
you're amazing.
Keep going man!
@@kimberlya1674 why? I got tired of how it made me feel so I got help
People in recovery talk about how addiction is a demon in your mind and you think they’re kind of exaggerating but then you go through it and you completely understand.
If you listen closely, you can hear my heart shattering.
You can kind of see where Jayka gets it from when you hear her mother talk lmao.
"There is no shame in struggling"
I wish strength for everyone struggling with drug addiction, and hope for the recovery of all.
I'm at 2:59 mins and I already know this video is going to cripple me. I am an addict in recovery and this time I have been clean almost 5 years. 2/03/15 is my clean date. I am so blessed and grateful everyday to have found the strength to get clean of meth and all substances. I also have my mom in recovery who has been clean almost 10 years. I am so lucky to have her support.
This is a necessary discussion for ALL ages
I'm in tears right now!!! I LOVE watching you guys!!! I've had a problem with alcohol and other drugs.... I've been sober for 3 years now... And I JUST had a thought of relapsing.... BECAUSE of the way life was going!!! Then you guys did THIS!!! Wow.... There is a higher power at work....they put you guys in my life!!! Now I am ok....crying my eyes out, but I don't wanna USE!!! Gonna call my mom instead!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!! I LOVE Y'ALL!!!
The judgement in "it should have been the first one" made me sick. They clearly need this education. Your mistakes are no better than hers.
Agree
Shes a kid... relax.
Sarah Thrasher agreed
And that kind of mentality is good, maybe not the judgement part but more of the idea that she has her own ideal limits
She is a kid and doesn't fully understand. Hopefully by the end of this she understood better.
I Love how much Jaxon cares about his mom...............
praying my brother gets sober
hope everyone who has an addiction do drugs etc. will get better and sober soon :-) wish you and your fam the best
I’m praying for him ❤️
Thank you
I lost my sister last December from an overdose. She was a beautiful woman.
Thanks for sharing
"Is that a blunt or a sage stick?" Honestly that's massive haha
Mental health is really important.
Some of y’all are so inconsiderate and not educated on this topic and it shows.
Only addicts and alcoholics truly understand. It’s difficult to understand if you haven’t been through it.
Ngl I was quite judgemental tbh. 2:35 when she reacted to them saying 14 im here thinking thats quite old. Drinking culture is so different in UK v usa. UK people drink alot
@@OGCrick yeah i' from the neherlands it's not that special here to drink at 14, i think i just turned 12 when i got drunk the first time
@@karelanker8811 America take drinking way more seriously which i think is quite ironic considering... guns.
How did the FBE staff film this multiple times with everyone. Must of been exhausting day feeling all those emotions
Yeah >
It is redacted video. They filmed it in a week or so with different people and guests every time.
I lost my mom to prescription drugs when I was 7. I can’t describe how happy I am to see the discussions about these topics become more prevalent. Addiction is ruthless- what starts out as a choice quickly changes into the inability to stop. FBE, thank you for this video. Education is power. ❤️
ok jaxon going for the hug got me
Thank you for this. Both my parents are in recovery from alcohol and drug use. I am so proud of them for their sobriety. However, it still hurts my siblings and myself that it didn't happen until we were all adults. Recovery never ends.
That’s my schools video! I’m so proud of my school and how far this video has come!
I cried watching it, not gonna lie
God bless your school for making this beautiful creation 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💘💘
Honestly, one of the best and most honest episodes you guys have ever done. Thanks.
thank you for educating people on this. my cousin passed away in 2016 from overdosing and it is devastating. i’m so proud of everyone who’s become sober after addiction, it’s one of the most difficult things you can do
Wow as a recovering heroin addict this is awesome. Thank you
Amanda S congrats hope you stay strong
Proud of you, dear. One step at a time
This almost made me cry it made me more scared then sad actually. Peer pressure and drugs are my greatest fears
You must have a simple life then.
@@smashtech8528 I guess yeah. What about yours
All of these survivors are so inspiring.
So glad these people are doing better
I admire anyone who rids himself of an addiction.

Thanks, I quit the dumbest drug of all this year, nicotine!
Or herself
I have been in love with your channel for years. But this hits home. My name is Grant And I’m 27. I have been sober for 2 years since November 15 2017. I was a star athlete and a very avid hockey player and skier. I tore my labrum tissue in my left shoulder and I got addicted to opioids and alcohol. I have been in jail 3 times before I turned 25. After the 3rd time in jail I went to Estes Park to a recovery center called Harmony Foundation. During my treatment I lost contact with my parents and family and I lied to myself saying I’m not an addict/ alcoholic but it took 3 times going to jail to realize I had a problem. But during that 1 month treatment I realized I was extremely selfish. But after a month I knew I needed more treatment so I went to Sandstone care for gentleman 30 and under located in Denver for 6 months. I love you guys for this, and I now work at Sandstone.
My Instagram is skibum0017 and my Facebook is Grant Kupono Wood if you have any further questions
I'm not gonna lie, I'm bawling so hard right now. 😭💔
.Can y'all do about eating disorder please?.
i actually cried.
Haha
I sliced my eye lids off watching this
once the high school video ended i was a bawling mess
Plz do more of these type of videos. My favorite videos from fbe have always been the ones on serious topics but since there haven’t been major events in the news we haven’t been getting as many videos
This video made me cry. I never did drugs but I have family and friends who did.
Jaxon is so adorable and caring omg
God Dangit. This video is very good for showing the perspective of both sides of this. Those who have gone through addiction and those who have lived through its effects. But damn FBE you got me crying.
@Vanessa Villagomez I hope this is sarcasm. Otherwise, I would rather nobody question or police how I go about expressing my religion.
crying. this is one of the realest videos you guys have put out. thank you
MOST Important FBE Episode i have ever watched. TY for making it.
I didn't cry ... I didn't cry ... I criieedddd
No I'm not crying
Totally not bawling my eyes out
STOP CUTTING ONIONS!!!!!!
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Such a powerful video. I truly pray each and everyone of their success and continued sobriety.
Also Jackson going in for that hug was amazing. You never know what someone may need. ❤
Very important video. And I’m also very disappointed in the lack of sympathy for these people that are struggling with a very common issue.
For me personally, it's hard for me sympathize when my addict brother has fucked me and my family over so many times now
@@JessKalinow okay that’s you.
@@itznaz6854 yeah, that's why i said me personally
Self hate is so destructive. 😕
I should know. I'm there all the time. Hating myself.
Absolutely but I have never beaten it
Not every addict hates themself.
This video was incredible. These survivors are so brave and so inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
This definitely reminded me of Mac miller.

Most dope of 92’!! Not a day goes by without thinking about you

Wow, this episode is so heartbreaking, those people are so brave
When you're constantly with a survivor of addiction. My mom. I love her and am so happy that she made it out alive. (Alcohol addiction) 💖💖💖
My sister OD'd from Heroine almost two years ago. She was 29. I've never felt the same since then. I think about her all the time... it's affected my parents greatly. And I do the best I can to make them proud of how far I've come with avoiding the evils of drugs.
I cried at the end of the ad for drugs when it went through the different stages of her life again
gosh i say this every video. I LOVE JAXON
I love how much he loves his mom
who else cried ...
I worked at a pharmacy for 6 years and everyday I would see so many people come in and you can tell who was hooked on pills and who wasn’t
Wow great episode FBE. But barely scratches the surface tho, wish it was more in depth and we heard more from everyone. I vote for a part 2 and keep doing important topics with these reactors plz
Good topic for a video and I find it tastefully done. Good job you guys! Mental health and addiction are such hard topics for a lot of people as it is not seen by many people as "all that serious" or even real. So thank you for giving this a platform this way.
Yall making me cry in public
Still struggling with alcohol and drug addictions. This video did help a bit though.
I wish you nothing but good luck for you. Take tiny steps and that road of recovery will be faster than you might think.
Thank you so much for this. As an addict. Thank you.

Good for him
@@sanstheskeleton6510 thank you!

everything that they said reminded me of beautiful boy and I never realised how much that movie taught me about addiction till now
I’ve been abusing prescription meds for two years but I’ve been sober now for a month.

That is amazing, you have our support wholeheartedly and we recognize that this process is extremely difficult. Anything that happens during recovery is still progress
I'm crying this is so emotional
I had this problem and it's not fun at all especially when your family sees you hurting.
That's because it's not about "fun", it's about dulling emotions you don't feel you can handle feeling.
This tore my heart apart. Thank you for doing this video. It’s so important.
It always start with the people you hang with. Do not run with the crowd

Such a powerful episode. Thank you, FBE 👏🏻
this is such an eye opener for many people. thanks FBE for this video! i think people nowadays don't understand how dangerous alcohol and drugs are, this really helps i think.
