KAREN READ: Are We Headed for a Hung Jury? -- Lawyer LIVE

  • Jurors headed home around 4, concluding their third day of deliberations. Are we headed for a hung jury in the Karen Read case? What does that mean?
Did Karen Read murder her boyfriend John O’Keefe by mowing him down with her car -maybe even intentionally? Or is she being set up by a corrupt law enforcement officials trying to protect their own?
O’Keefe was found dead in Canton, Massachusetts, in the front yard of Boston police officer Brian Albert. Prosecutors say Karen dropped him off at a party at Albert’s house and then hit him with her car.

@@deborahcollins5819I don’t recall talk of internal bleeding. But he did have brain swelling and a significant wound on the back of his head so that could be the only injury that caused the blood loss. The dog bites on his arm wouldn’t have produced a lot of blood. And surely the snow would have stopped blood flow hence only a small amount in the snow. So the blood loss must have occurred somewhere else….the basement?

I believe statistics show that the longer a jury is out the more it favors the Defense, but in this case I'm not so sure it does favor the Defense. If all the jury is charged with is deciding whether KR hit JOK with her vehicle and took his life and experts (unbiased experts) have proven that JOK was not even hit by a vehicle what are they deliberating? I was on federal jury duty in Feb for a case that had 13 days of testimony. The minute we were sent to the deliberation room, everything became complicated. You learn that no one sees things the same. It was fascinating the different perspectives people have. We deliberated for 4 days on 7 counts. Two of which we had unanimously decided within 1/2 day. We ended up hung on 1 count after we told the judge we could be there for months & it wasn’t changing. People were “that” set in their decision. My point in this, is that while it looks like an easy decision for many of us, and that includes myself, every little word in that deliberation room carries immense weight & can change the whole meaning of a charge. Fingers crossed for a verdict tomro! #Freekarenread #juisticeforjohnokeefe

It would not be so far fetched in this scenario that some hidden person connected to the "bad guys" found their way onto this jury - or were gotten to after the trial started. This particular group of characters who were at and hosting this party probably have something on everyone in town lol - so I was very worried then and even more worried now about hung jury. I hope the defense thoroughly investigates this juror and any other ppl they are connected to. Although they were all drunk, so idk). But no one seeing him except the one girl not driving and looking out the window isn't weird at all to me. I wouldn't notice anything on someone's lawn if I was leaving a party after drinking, in a blizzard, in the middle of the night. But take a step back for a minute. I know emotions are running high. But the O'Keefes are innocent and did nothing wrong except lose their son/brother. They are the VICTIMS. Along with their son. Hearing people talk about them this way is mind-blowing. This case is split. Many people believe in the conspiracy but many people also believe Karen did it. I understand you believe the Alberts/McCabes killed John. But a lot of us don't believe in the same theory. Aren't we all allowed to watch the trial and come to our own conclusions? Why does everyone have to believe the same thing? We are not clones. We're allowed to have our own opinions. The O'Keefes are too. Even more so, because it's their own son/brother, and not to mention they have seen even more evidence (the excluded evidence) than any of us. So how come because they don't agree with you, they are wrong and siding with "animals". Obviously they don't believe the Alberts/McCabes killed their son/brother or they wouldn't sit with them. The fact that anyone would disparage the O'Keefes is just inhumane. People booing them and screaming at them and going to their house/work/school is inhumane. I get you love Karen, great, support her all you want. But that family did nothing wrong and can believe in whichever side they believe in. They have no control over that. They're not siding with people they think did it, lol. So they obviously don't think they're bringing in "animals". On what PLANET would a family do that? This case is completely and utterly out of control and it's terrifying at this point.

The issue here is this - in my view! Most of us are brought up to believe that the police and prosecutors can be trusted - therefore we should just believe them. In fact there are more corrupt and or inept people in these two careers than you may think. When a jury is confronted with this, they are hesitant to rule against the very people who they view as protectors. I suggest you don't trust any of them until they have proved themselves else you may end up in the same mess as Karen Reid!

I totally agree…. It should be about reasonable doubt, not police corruption.

Saldy there are some gross people who will do everything to protect the cops reputations even if it means sacrificing an innocent person.
