    Growing up latino in Miami, I've experienced constant homesickness due to my work having me live up north and traveling to obscure midwestern towns/cities. Your recipes have helped bring a part of my home back to my life. To this day, your frijole negro recipe has been the talk of my neighborhood. My girlfriend jumps with joy whenever I cook it for her. Thanks so much for helping this homesick Rolo feel at home. Keep up the good work, Chef Zee!

I usually go to a Cuban place in jersey called "Mi Bandera" ... they make a chimichurri sauce and another sauce that is like chimichurri but it's red and picante... I love that sauce and now I know how it's done .. but, if you know how to make the red chimichurri sauce that is picante, please make a video on how to make that one ... so I can learn to make it also .. thanks again and have an awesome weekend!

    You know, if you let it sit for a few days all the flavor gets infused into the oil and the vinegar and you have a much more intense flavor, if it’s good when you eat it fresh, when you let it sit for a few days the flavor goes off the charts, like 100 times better!

    • @Chefzeecooks

      It changes the color and I personally prefer it when it mixed by hand. When you add the oil into the blender it emulsifys into the sauce. I prefer for there to be a little separation. I hope this helps!

    • @Chefzeecooks
      @Chefzeecooks  Před 6 lety +1

      Oh no! Sounds like you may have an Olive Oil Allergy :( you can definitely substitute the oil for whatever you like. I’d recommend going with an oil that’s light yet aromatic like a sunflower oil or even an avocado oil. A nice light canola oil will also do the trick. The main flavor in this sauce are the herbs and lemons and spices

      +Nina Courchesne recao is culantro which is a cousin of cilantro. If you can't find culantro, cilantro will also do. I typically combine the two. Hope this helps!

    Hell long will it last in the fridge

      I recommend having it 3-4 days after making it. It doesn't go bad after that, but the vinegar will pickle the sauce a little further. Up to you if like that flavor.

    I understand using less traditional ingredients, but eating it right away is a no no. Let it rest at least overnight in the fridge, the more the better, maximum 2-3 weeks.
