As someone who speaks both like you may too I disagree but it is your opinion I also think it may depend on the accent people use some of us speak the letters a bit differently depending on voice and what languages you speak 😊
@@delilahr-be5wn Yes but they have a common ancestor, so they're very different but still have similarities I am French and learning Hebrew, and I never understood why people say that the French R is like the Hebrew(Hebreaic? I don't know how to say it) R. I speak a bit of Arabic (learning too), so I make the difference between the Arabic h, H, kh, q, and as a French I don't think that the Hebreaic R and French are the same. What do you think about that ?

Shalom ani Shainia, toda for teaching us Ivriet. It's so important to study the Torah and have a great translation of Yahuah's instructions during these days for His children. Our family is full blooded Native American and full blooded Kanaka (Hawaiian) learning to be one hundred percent Yahuah's children 🌈🕊👑💯🫒🕎
Honestly. I’m not of Israelite descent. Nor am I a Jew. Nor do I know any other languages other than my mother tongue. I only had to read these letters and knew what they sounded like before I listened to the video. It’s like it was a destined language from the God himself.
There are only 22 letters, but some letters have two pronunciations, eg. Begadkefat letters (בגדכפת). For example בּ is pronounced with "b" but ב (without the dot, dagesh) as "v". Though not a begadkefat letter, ש is pronounced as š when there is a שׁ dot on the top right, and as ś when the dot is on the left. But essentially, ש is one letter. Some Hebrew grammar text books say there are 23 letters in Hebrew alphabet. I disagree. If there are 23, then I would add another 6 (Begadkefat), and 5 (sofit), and take the number to 34. Psalm 119 clearly gives us the count of letters in Biblical Hebrew. It's 22.
Ah, very good point! Obviously, I’m a freshly minted Hebrew student, so this was a much appreciated lesson. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer so thoughtfully. Shalom! :)
