- This Fx Impact Mk2 i build custom for long range shooting extreme. Long range shooting is a passion of mine and i love to use my Fx Impact for that. This Fx Impact Mk2 i totally rebuild and customized to suite my needs for hunting in South Africa. In this video i showcase the extreme long range shooting abilities of this air rifle whilst i do pest control on a farm. I take a mind blowing 298 yard shot (my longest yet) on a dove and many more long shots past 150 yards on starling and pigeons. I also discuss the process i went through to get this gun up to "long range shooting extreme spec. You want to watch this one right to the end!

Nice shooting I'm trying to get the nerve to change the tune on my new Dreamtac. Funny this one was posted me and my shooting buddy were shooting around the shop today when a target of opportunity showed up at 275 yards. He made the shot not first try though with his new JSAR Raptor in .25 with a 34 grain slug. Long shots are definitely fun.

I really wish this gun wasn’t so complex and had like a cazillion o-rings in it. The alpha you had back in the day I have less issues with than the many other airguns I have. Yeah it doesn’t have the power output of an Impact but neither did the sub -12 gun setting that you made a video of which you showed true skill like the shooters in the UK do. Not that easy at that power level. Mad respect to all sub shooters! Still the Alpha/Liberty/ Avenger basically a MK2 Alpha/Liberty is a beast and super accurate for the money. What a shame you don’t put it on video anymore. You made some very cool complicated shots with yours as a lot of us do as well. That’s what makes it so much fun. I use it more than my SK-19 .25 or .22 or any other airguns I have. What a great gun for the money. Still the M3 has my attention, as does many other to be honest,but still all those o-rings🤷♂️💯 Hey God bless stay well and safe.

Hi Gerhard, Your shooting seems very accurate whether it is 100yds or 150yds. How do u adjust the scope if you zero stop for 50rds and you want to shoot 150 yds?

if you can share the .STL for the lid on a website somewhere or your shop website - then I reckon the 40g will "fly" off the shelves. PS glad to see that your impact makes the same refilling noise as mine does on 170 bar!

Matching gram per gram on either .25 or .30 the .22 at the same velocity should defeat the wind better than the other two . It’s why I picked the .22 all around in the US . Y’all are limited to this caliber in South Africa but what you have done is to make the .22 with fine tuning and slug design a great shooting platform.

Yeah, no kidding. A lot of other guys take shots out to 500+, but they’re using .25 or bigger. That’s scary accuracy for a .22 air rifle. You’re not even trying at 70. Slammed them. Good shooting!

Yes those slugs need to go on pruduction love them they have almost the same weight as a 30 cal and you’re now shooting like a 22 long rifle with subsonic bullets that’s why I’m now going to buy a m3 in .35 and a barrel in 22 for it .

Gerhard, I wish you can show us when u adjust the scope to the yards u are shooting at so we know what u are doing. I'm gonna share with you that something went wrong with my new FX Maverick sniper which I just bought. I took it to the field and started shooting at 50yrds. I emptied 3 or 4 rounds of the magazine then I accidentally loaded it twice into the barrel so it got jammed. I couldn't take out the magazine. I took it to an airgun shop and the guy tried to tune it but could not power up the gun. He could only went up to 300 fps and couldn't go higher so I don't know what is wrong with it. You seem to have more experience with airgun so you may know what goes wrong with the gun. Thanks
Gerard, thats one hell of shooting machine .... but would it ever be possible for you, Roelff and Matt to shoot an out of the box, unmodified FX rifle (that most of us would buy), so we could see why we should buy that FX rifle????? You three, are so lucky to be a part of “Team FX” so you have every possible modifications and parts available, without cost concerns, and you have the skills and instructions to tune and modify until kill shots at extreme ranges become routine for you. Everyone understands (your business of promoting certain products and congrats with the Patriot business) but the average shooter who watches your videos, doesn’t have the routine ability to spend the amount of money that it takes to duplicate what you guys do with every FX gun you shoot. The videos they you, Roelff and Matt produce are fantastic and your shooting skills are too, but, can my out of the box Impact or other FX rifle shoot the 40 grain .22 slug at 150 yards??? I can’t say it enough, I look forward to watching your videos. And nobody can disagree, so I’ll say it again.... your videos are fantastic, especially showing what modifications can do! But as you guys are part of the “FX Team”, how about showing what a “bog standard” , totally unmodified gun is capable of doing out of the box, without adding over $1000 or more to the cost of the rifle. Gerhard, I’m not trying to piss you off, I’m just one of you subscribers who would like you to remember how you started and that we all don’t have the ability to do what you can do.
Thanks and appreciate your feedback. The main idea behind the Fx range of guns to remember is that you have the ability to do alot of adjustments straight from the factory. You do not need aftermarket parts for power and accuracy. But that being said the guns are also build so that you can modify and add your own accessories and aftermarket parts if you want to make it your own. It just have so much possibilities to explore and that is what i wanted to achieve with this build. Thanks for following along and believe me the future is gonna be awesome for airgunning! 😁👍🏻
