- You're gonna wanna use universal fighting game notation! It's really easy (:
(Xbox/PS)
1 = X/Square
2= Y/Triangle
3= A/X
4= B/Circle
F = Forward
B = Back
D = Down
J = Jump
AMP = Amplify
The reason we use the notation is because the numbers locate the button thats in the exact same spot for both controllers. Makes it easier so all consoles understand what move you're talking about.

i got a 56% 3 bar with scorp kameo ending with fatal blow :) a 41% 1 bar whiff punish starting from 2 1 spear , 45% 2 bar whiff punish starting 2 1 spear and 45% 1 bar starting with f3 2

Just a friendly reminder to all scoprion mains out there that if you are not picking sareena, and the opponent has a good mix character with sareena, you will most likely lose the game regardless. NRS really did scorpion dirty by giving 4 strings and making 3 of them start high and a two hit launcher with huge gap between hits.

Dude I’m so mad I learned him first, I can’t get anything going ever and when you do it’s forward 3,2 over and over again. all these videos say forward 2, 1 is a good combo starter…..good luck landing it online ever

one more thing, all of scorpions full strings have gaps, every single one. So be wary of characters using armored reversals on full strings ESPECIALLY against characters that get full combos off their armored special move. All gaps are right before the final hit of each string

I really enjoy this character, and as a brand new competitive player and since Scorpion has always been my favorite classic MK character as far as the franchise in general goes I’m really having fun learning him for sure, so thanks Diff, I will definitely be using this guide to learn the character more efficiently so I can get on to learning the universal gameplay mechanics.

I've been having a blast with Sektor, a good all around Kameo in my opinion with the extender, setups with the missile to cover a wakeup, and flames to use in neutral. Sareena is sick but tired of seeing everyone use her, hopefully some other kameos get buffed or something so there's more variety

Yeah rocket can just be extra damage or an extender which is nice. Homing is good pressure. And flames is also good ender because its a restand with decent damage
This is me but sub zero usually messes up seerenea users because of the ice armor and without their pacifier kameo giving them free wins they don't know what to do💀
@@user-nn1fx1nc7enot really because all you need is 1 hit on the opponent and then you use sareena into combo...that only works If whoever your playing against for some reason only sits back and uses sareena.

The problem with Scorpion is he has no low or high starter combos so it’s really easy to play against. You litterly have to rely on grabs and conversions.

I doubt it since he’s a very good scorpion, but not as experienced on the others, and probably doesn’t think he’s good enough regarding those characters to make a guide on them.
EVERYONE READ THIS I think theres a lot of mistakes in the move list information, a lot of scorpions data in there is false. Scorpions stand 2 is NOT +6 it is actually -2 on block:/

I run Scorpion Scorpion and while I’m not good at much of the air combos a good ground combo that leaves room for the air is 333, spear, forward 32, forward 32, kameo, to which I normally end with jump 2 grab, which gives 32% with no bar and only one kameo, but I’m sure it could be improved upon in the air portion
I wouldn’t recommend using the movelist advanced view to look at the moves' frame data, more than half of them are wrong. Just use the real time frame data option on practice settings,

Trust me use scrop+Jax. Listen really closely. Forward 3 2> jump>1 2> ex teleport>1 2> close range airial down back 2> call in close range Jax kameo> spear > 3 3 down back 2. In summary 1 kameo use, one bar of meter and roughly 45% dmg. Or instaid of down back 2 for the combo ender replace with FB for 52% dmg

I find you have to have I higher work rate and be on point to get the best outta scorpy, but ultimately it comes down to the player. Watch all your clips bro. Keep posting em dude. Super has been hitting some pretty nasty combos with the sector assist, rocket basically makes hellfire a re stand combo move
Nice video thanks…I still think he needs a better mix with mids or lows. Once u can get someone to open up its nice to see the damage but opening up someone with only 2 moves is really hard especially if they dont block just duck and let go block u can do those 1,2 moves all day long it wont even touch them unfortunately.
My problem is I try to play the range game with scorpion online. I used Sareena to hopefully catch them lackinging at full screen then pull them in for a combo, but that ends up limiting my damage output.
Also I don’t ever use teleport Meterburn. I’ve started to more in recent games but it’s still 50/50 on wether I get it, and it’s always for a grab and not a combo.
He’s a lot of fun in this game and that Invasions skin is so cool.

I have been playing scorpion with the Jax cameo, having lots of fun with combos, you can actually use scorpions air spear into Jax cameo meterless and it still combos.

For after the air kyo into kick if your near the corner u can hit b2 before spear for a bit of dmg

I know this is a little late but you can use 2 4 in the air and get that extra damage from the kick, but you have to delay until you’re like a foot off the ground but you can combo into DB2 off it and get good damage
I think I personally will be going for Sub-Zero as my cameo because, I can’t stand being Zoned out and yeah, I can obviously just teleport cancel around it but, I figure using sub-zero’s ice armor will be a way to blow through zoning as long as the character doesn’t have a low projectile which, in that case I probably want to teleport punch behind the enemy in that case.

In your bread and butter combo after spear you can fi forward 3 2 then standing 2 1 into demon dash for 39. It does side switch but it's more damage and that could matter
I had fun and an insanely hard time using Cyrax up kopter to combo off meterless air snag when doing 12>spear>f32>f32>j12>db2+nCyrax>(this bit im not sure on coz i so rarely got it due to dropping close air snag or mistiming the kameo)>j3>tele/airsnag.
Probably nowhere close to optimal but decent meterless damage and fun to try

But fun fact I have been Scorpion main myself since release and have many good combos that are also in your video. xD Only with the highest damage combo with the teleportation I would advise against. It may be that I am the only one, but the portel is a bit delayed. To then hit the amp properly after the portal, it is a bit difficult. Since this portal has like such a dash animation. The combo works in any case, but is a bit klunky, so I would recommend one without portel.
Of course you can use it and it also works partly with the first amp hook I call it. But with the long hook, it often happens that the opponent is not at the same height. That's why watch out xD. The combos he showed in the combos time stamp you can also easily make a 50% combo if you make something with the camo, etc.
If you do air 111 and immediately do bf1 for spear you will land and spear them off the bounce
Most people use cyrax now cuz you can do pressure and still do air combos that are pretty good
I labbed a 45% combo double scorpion kameo combo, i havent watched too many videos on this game so im not sure if anyone has the same combo but its fire. Its 1 bar of meter, but can use 2 to make it more consistent

You have a vid on that I’ve been wanting to play double scorpion but I feel it’s weaker then Serena cause you lose the projectile and using forward assist with hanzo doesn’t give you 2 forward 32 what it is nice for is you can do down back 2 in the air and combo with the the neutral assist but I feel like hanzo is weaker damage wise

So just wanted to point out that if u hit the 2nd spear in a combo it will knock down and ur + 50 or something I usally setup darrius f+kameo,
I know there will be probably better setups for example u could make Cyrex suicide work but darrius seems fine u get a double overhead into a mix and if the opponent mashes u get a combo from Darrius overhead.
hope somebody can use the Info for saucy setups =)

Back throw> neutral kameo the throw slowdown> spear> whatever combo+ ender u want 😊

I'm trying out striker with scorpion good mix ups with the his low and overhead... But his back r1 close bombs... Bring it out with the teleport... If he blocks and tries to punish the bombs will hit from behind just after his first hit on the punish.... Could be good mind games with the teleport cancel, if he's waiting to block the bombs get a throw on him.....have to see how well it works online
Yup! I am gonna go over that tech and Kano tech soon! You can also bf2 (the dash move) and if the opponent blocks it and tries to punish the Stryker setup works there as well!

I’m not sure if you knew this but once you do your launch before hitting the opponent wait a little in the air before connecting the inner flame aerial attack then you can combo with spear and Serena and it’ll be about one bar 43%
