Down in Columbia Pennsylvania you'll find a few things... You'll find the Susquehanna River, Railroad tracks, a Rail Trail & more, but more importantly you'll find history. My destination is the Point Rock Train tunnel, but along the way there's a bonus find. Like usual, you never know what you find unless you get out and explore your world. Great find JPV it's nice to see a part of history What upsets me it to see all the graffiti people have no respect what so ever for history. TY so much for all that you do. I wish more could be done to preserve and protect hidden parts of history for educational purposes.
Graffiti, although sad to see at places like this, seems to be the norm now a days.

Wow, so amazing and lots of interesting history! Hard to choose a favorite. Finding the old box car was so cool and the old picture of the roundhouse is wonderful, seeing the site where it stood is easy to imagine when it was actually there, and we got to see a train too! That mile long bridge is awesome, love the photo you took of it! The old furnace ruins with the beautiful brickwork and stonework are so incredible, the work that was put into it is unbelievable! The tunnel also has beautiful construction, it would have been fascinating to watch either one of them being built! You guys sure had some fun with Thomas the Train! 😂I agree with you that bonus finds are sometimes the best finds! Wonderful exploration JP and a great video! Thank you!

I liked the furnace because there was signage there to explain what went on and old pictures of the area. The tunnel was neat too. I hope to bike that this fall.

That’s cool that Nick brought you down to Columbia for that adventure. The road next the rail trail where the truck trailers are actually goes over the old turntable pit of the roundhouse, the stub ended track was the old north end yard lead that came off of the original mainline outside of the tunnel. Thanks for sharing this video, growing up in the area and seeing this brought back some great memories.

I loved the architecture of the blast furnace and how cool it looked being reclaimed by nature. Gives it a sense of mystery. The Point Rock Tunnel was pretty amazing as well. I could only imagine what it would have sounded like inside the tunnel with two steam locomotives passing side by side. It surely would have been an awesome sight and sound. Love the video. Always a fan of anything train or nature related. Will be looking forward to seeing you in the next video. Until then stay safe and God bless.

Now that was a great find, and explore too, a nice afternoon with friends and amusing pictures, and to think that I couldn't get higher than an D in social studies, SMH now I love history

Aw, you found Thomas!🥰 i would read a Thomas story from the complete Thomas series written by Rev. Awdrey to our boys every night when they were little. So fun you found him hanging out by the tracks lol! That furnace had amazing brickwork. That was a big beauty!
Thomas was a staple in many young kids lives. Thankfully this one got rescued and saved from the scrap yard 😁
Really loved this explore of the old furnace ( wonderful brick and stonework !) and the rail trail tunnel ..History was always my very favorite subject in school and still love it .That may be why I enjoy your adventures so much ..lots of history and always learning something . 👍💙Great seeing the other guys with ya ...glad Thomas kept RJ entertained and out of trouble .....😂

I grew up in Columbia n was thrilled to see my home town in one of ur many videos I watch. Hope to see more videos from Columbia cause it is deep in rich history. I enjoyed this very Mich n will b watching case u do more ❤

Hi JP, and thanks for another great adventure...you would absolutely love the Union Pacific RR Museum here in Omaha...it is really cool, especially at Christmas time they put a tree up in the old ticket area over 30ft high...it's Awesome! Plus an entire old train you can walk thru it and see the old sleeper cars and everything. Pretty cool!!!
This is one of your coolest railroad videos, they're all neat, the old dam ones are cool as well. I used to travel like you, but couldn't wait to retire so I could travel full time. I recently retired, now my health is too poor to do much walking or exploring, so I join you.😀

Cool! Loved the tunnel. This was a fantastic video. 🤗. Chris loved Tomas The Train when he was a kid lol. Later on he learned that Mr. Conductor was the great comedian George Carlin, which confused him😅. 🤗

In the little Burrow of Duncannon, PA there is a rail bridge that goes over the river... Quite long and impressive. Also in Duncannon is the old train station now a business of some sorts. Maybe check out the Burrow of Duncannon sometime? Cheers :)

Perkasie PA has a tunnel that has a gentle sweeping curve to it. It’s a former Reading Company line now in use by the East Penn Railroad.
