the production on this album is actually fucking insane
Every Tyler album has dope instrumentals, which ones your favorite?
@@NFRPodcast For me igor is the most consistent but cherry bomb has my fav ones like 2Seater, Okaga ca and smuckers bruh are you crazyyyy
@@NFRPodcast easily this one, its basically all of tylers work in one, every beat is colourful, textured, tight knit really nothing to critique other than maybe dj drama being louder in a couple songs
Am I tripping or am I the only one who doesn’t enjoy Tyler’s music. I ain’t tryna hate and I completely respect what he’s accomplished in his career but personally ion enjoy it as much as others and ion know why?
@@NFRPodcast Yo! Y’all gotta predict wether Travis goes left with a YEEZUS/CherryBomb or if he goes up & broader like a Views/Graduation. Lots of predictions going each way. Think you can guess??
This album was amazing, tyler just keeps getting better and better
to be honest I personally liked IGOR better, but I agree that this album is great as well. I'm also a new Tyler Fan so my opinions are pretty biased.
Best Tyler album yet?
Not the best yet, lyrics are dope. Bars are incredible. Instrumentals are incredible, but I felt like its kind of missing a theme except for it being fire and hype af. I love the hype but i just dont see a theme like wolf, fb, igor, old shit etc. No hate, i love tyler, just hope for it to have as much replay value as the other albums. Idk, maybe its just a "i made it/flexing" album not meaning to be too deep like the other albums. I really hope it grows on me, shits fire nonetheless.
@@dir-gk im sure it will grow on you. The same thing happned to me on Igor and eventually a couple listens i fell in love with it.
@@trollge8598 I feel you, I hope my words bite me in the ass haha
The Sample in Hot Wind Blows is pure magic, simple as that
Little did we know that the squeaking voice of lil Wayne talking about drugs would totally fuck up the song
@@jitzekuipers1739 really wayne was fire
Phenomenal sample, amazing to hear Wayne rap over a drumless beat

SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE is the most brilliant thing I've heard in 2021.
Bro I cried listening to that song
YES
Amazing song. First half sounded like a Gus dapperton/mac damarco inspired.
@@Yayi-ko8fc yes and that’s why I love it because I love Mac

I instantly liked wilshire it’s top tier
One of his best storytelling tracks for you?
@@NFRPodcast my problem is the vinyl or clipping effect. It doesn’t sit right with me
MASSA and MANIFESTO are two of the best tracks in his discography.
Both wolf vibes, so good
Those are two of my favorites on the album
Manifesto got to be top three best verses this year Tyler went off
He getting his feelings out on that
Big facts Andrew! Hope you enjoyed our review🙏
This project makes it feel like you should unapologetically be yourself 24/7
That's facts and that's why I love Tyler's personality! Hope you enjoy tomorrow's bonus episode👀
I really hope this comment isn’t stolen from somewhere because that’s a perfect way to describe the album
WUS YA NAME GIRLFRIEND WUS YA NAME
Easily one of the most catchy hooks of the year! Thoughts on the Youngboy feature?
@@NFRPodcast YoungBoy was really impressive on that track.
wus ya nam gulflend was ya nam
@@NFRPodcast FUCKING AMAZING
@@NFRPodcast YoungBoy’s music isn’t really my style, but he snapped on this song I was really jamming to it
Call Me If You Get Lost is a more refined Cherry Bomb.
I really agree. I didn’t hear it until juggernaut
Ooh yeah
Juggernaut is the most similar in style to Cherry Bomb
“Lemonhead” has a hidden feature from Frank Ocean
I was going to say I did hear him 😂
not really a "feature"
@@schnuts1962 I know, that’s why I said a hidden feature or background vocalist.
@@SecondWizards nah u switched up what u said
@@clintonwratten3011 why are you making a big deal? Sheesh 🙄
I'm glad you talked about the song transitions because I haven't heard many people talk about them but they're so smooth and shows the importance of album sequencing
Man I loved this album. He went in a very interesting way of storytelling that I was not expecting like you said with him giving us little pieces of the story . And I thought about the connection this album had with Igor how it ends sort of like Igor. How he ends up wanting to be friends even after everything he has done. Like in Igor he wanted the guy with the female love triangle. But this time he focused on the girl instead of the male. Sorry if I didn’t say it perfectly well but I loved the album . I think Wayne had the best feature btw. Especially how he wrapped everything up with Wilshire and safari.
I agree with Wayne having the best feature! AOTY so far?🤔
Even though I loved Call me if you get lost. I still think cole had the best album of the year so far. But my opinion could change with the upcoming albums.
@@NFRPodcast like drake, Isaiah Rashad, and maybe Kendrick if he releases staid year.

For some reason I don't feel like it'll be another two years before we hear from tyler again, not saying the album wasn't enough but he just seems to have leveled up again and maybe it'll be a show or movie or something instead of music too
he was talking about a movie on that blessed tracks sooo...😳
What do you want to see next from Tyler?
@@NFRPodcast some kind of film for sure whether it be a movie or show. Just really peaks my interest and I can see him doing something in that light
@@NFRPodcast I feel like he should make a full on movie for this album. Like a musical or something 😂
Here. Sorry just finished the album. All I’m gonna say. Album of the year.
@Saurabh Mehta it just came out give it a chance. This is obviously an album that needs more listenings because there are so many thing going on on the album
@Saurabh Mehta i have only heard half the album, as of now. Sounds sick to me but i Can hear i need to hear it a few times to really like it. Lemonhead is sick in my opinion. Idk if 42 doggs verse was good or not. It was not incredible but it was 100 perfect better than expected
@Saurabh Mehta i mean it might be the case i have not really heard enough of it to really form that much of an opinion to be honest.
@Saurabh Mehta thank you you too
@Saurabh Mehta it is so far beyond off season or brockhampton
AOTY Definitely so far.
For me:
Call me if you get lost
The off-season
Roadrunner
@Saurabh Mehta sorry but...L asf
@Saurabh Mehta L bro the off season is such a boring album

How many listens deep are you right now?👀
By the end of his career Tyler will be as iconic an artist as Kanye is
People forgot what Kanye has done, love Tyler but he will never be anywhere near Kanye
@@Jackk7777 music wise it’s possible. His earlier work hurts him a bit. But his last 4 albums quality wise can go toe to toe with Kanye. Plus his fashion/ personality makes it a fair comparison. However, I doubt he’ll be as innovative as Kanye. Tyler perfects his synth sound and changes it up. Whereas Kanye does completely different new styles. However Tyler 3 most recent albums over 808s, Ye, JIK, dropout, and yeezus for me.
@@ilikeu1010101010101 none are over dropout for me but Igor is over 808s personally not in influence tho

As soon as I heard lumberjack a week or so ago, I knew that this album was going to be another hit. Listening to the whole album back to back, through my work shift I realize the content texture has a bit of every previous album he’s made. It definitely had a great blend. Rise is one my favorites in the list
Cant wait to listen to this album !
Did our review do a good job of hyping you up for your listen?👀
Sweet / I Thought You Wanted To Dance feels like the Bohemian Rhapsody of hip hop. Just because of the transitions between the sections of music.

That's very nice of you to say nice dude!
Unbelievable, but after 3 times listening i have the impression: HE SURPASS IGOR! Hat Trick, 3 albums in a row, best of the year so far and probably the best by Tyler...

Bro, the album has been out for two and a half hours ago. You commented an hour ago. How tf you listen to 3 hours in 1.5hrs? You listening in 2 times speed?
I gave it one listen but I dont see it close to Igor tbh at the same time is very different from Igor so its hard to compare
@@cardwarsking2927 I think it’s close to Igor in quality. It isn’t as innovative as Igor. However, it’s like a perfected rap album. So I’d say Igor (9-10/10), CMIYGL (9/10), Flowerboy (8/10). For me.
Tyler’s vision and sound will always be unique and I really appreciate the approach he took with creating this album because it’s awesome and he never disappoints
I'm lost for words with this one, blew me away

I just might have to agree... we'll see
🔥👏This gonna do mad numbers, so dynamic you can listen to the whole album in many different ways. You can listen to it and chill while doing something, or focus and listen to the amazing songwriting and production, and in some song just straight up get lit, with that different flow and the great but unusual feature like dugg or NBA. Album of the year for me.💯
This album is crazy good!
AOTY not even close, my jaw wasn’t just dropped, it went all the way through the floor. IGOR is on a pedestal for me and it’s one of my all time favorites, and this almost beat it first listen. I hyped this up way too much AND IT EXCEEDED. I’m just in shock, this album is ridiculous, this is gonna be on loop for at least 2 weeks lol
This album is phenomenal, not quite sure if it tops Igor yet but time will tell🙏
@@NFRPodcast it has surpassed IGOR for me now, the downside with IGOR is that all of the songs have a super rough mix and the new album is so clean in sound. I can’t wait to live with this album
This album is so fucking good great review guys loving the content❤️
Thank you for the love P.B! Do you think this could end up being AOTY?👀
@@NFRPodcast definitely I think it’s up there for AOTY with the off season and sour imo
Fkn fire, both the album & this review
Much love❤️
I think that, indeed, the 'Tyler Baudelaire' persona is a genuine expression of how Tyler the creator sees himself as it's not that hard to find lots of links between Baudelaire's and Tyler's biography. Baudelaire was a French poet whose father died when he was young, and then had a very conflictual relationship with his mom's second companion. He developed a love for poetry at a very young age and wanted to live off of it, which wasn't what his stepfather wanted, so he sent him on a journey to India to get a military formation. But, Baudelaire rejected that, and while he was on his way to India, he decided to stay at some French islands around Madagascar called Mayotte and fell in love with the islands. He was then forced to come back to France, as his stepfather was obviously upset that he wouldn't go to India, and started to study poetry at a school he then got banned from for not denouncing one of his friends. He then set up to write what would then become one of the most influential but also controversial collections of poems, Les Fleurs du Mal. Influential, because he was one of the first poets to ever break away from the poetic tradition of writing about nature, love, etc. to write about much darker and weirder themes, like humanity's vices, drugs (he wrote most of these poems while actually being high lmao) death, and even homosexuality in poems like 'Lesbos'. Controversial for the exact same reasons, which lead to the collection being publicly denounced, and partially censored when it came out, in 1857. Simply being aware of Baudelaire's biography makes so much more sense as to why Tyler chose this new persona.
I appreciate other music fans who dive this deep, much love to you🙏
I’m really curious how your playlists look like. Maybe a idea for another video.
Appreciate the suggestion Roy! We definitely need to get on that soon
The way he uses the flute is so perfect
Production all throughout was dope

Not sure if it's his best work yet but it's definitely the best rapping of his career🔥
Fana Hues was such a surprise but great collab and I thought she was way more lowkey than that. Her career just got boosted which I love

But who knows maybe after a couple of listens it can change...
That's facts I think I also prefer Igor for now
Fully agreed, I only like about 4-5 tracks on the new album, where as Igor, I like all tracks 100%

Excited for if he makes music videos too
How did you like the Juggernaut video?
Bro, 42 dugg and Pharrell Williams features were crazy
Don't forget Youngboy and Wayne!
jay versace was actually the producer of safari, the last track
Yes he was and he did a great job
Pretty much why I'd didn't make a best albums so far cause specifically cause Tyler was Finna drop a banger; the best features are Domo Youngboy & Wayne they fit the theme of the album perfectly well as Wayne u would expect didn't mention on expectations him & Tyler work together well. Damn I'd feel like a psychic cause thus far not a single skip on here; almost as if he had to get back rapping with some swagger & gratification. Usually don't give out scores on the first listen outta 5 probably 4.75/5!
Love the rating and your thoughts on the album! I definitely agree that Domo Youngboy & Wayne were the best 3 features on the album and there are no skips, Tyler delivered once again🙏
I didn’t expect Usher to provide the backing vocals for wocka flocka, but they made it work!

Top 3 tracks?
2 things caught me off guard:
-Beat drop on CORSO
-how Youngboy perfectly fit into WUSYANAME
That man sliddd on the song so perfectly
Wasn't surprised by Youngboy because T always makes the most random artists mesh well with him on his album but the beat drop on Corso was HARD
Had to sleep, listen to it, and then as soon as I was done then watch this
Man Tyler went crazy on this one🔥🔥
AOTY potential?
Tyler is on a level of his own. He is on his kanye run. 3 straight album of the year contenders. He arguably has been top 5 in the game since 2017 when flower boy dropped
This album is straight up fire from beginning to end. I cant wait to workout to it 💪🏼 😎 im blown away man, ive been wanting a dope album like this n had no idea it would be Tyler to bring it to the table
